We were gone for 2 weeks, and with a 13-year-old dog (who is high maintenance and sometimes has the energy of a puppy), it's hard to find someone we trust who can come to our house to keep Dexter's routine the same. Alisha was even better than we hoped for. From daily updates and pictures to the sweetest note when we got home, we never had to worry about Dex. She even cleaned, vacuumed, and washed sheets. About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something I truly enjoy. I grew up with pets and have had my own boxer mix for the past 8 years, so I understand just how much our pets mean to us. With over 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine, I'm comfortable caring for pets of all ages and medical needs, including giving medications and helping with post-surgery recovery. Whether your pet is a playful puppy, a laid-back senior, or just needs lots of love and attention, I'll care for them like they're my own. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while giving you peace of mind that they're in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have my own pet and already structure my day around providing attention, exercise, and care. I work Monday through Friday, and i can provide care before work, during my hour-long lunch break, and after work for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. On weekends, I have even more time to dedicate to longer walks, cuddles, and fun activities. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I focus on creating a calm, loving environment where they feel safe and truly at home. I meet each pet where they are and build trust at their pace, whether they’re energetic and playful or shy and reserved. In my home, pets are treated like family. Maleah was great with our dogs and we felt very comfortable with her staying at our house. We have a diabetic dog with anxiety and it was nice to not have to worry about him given that he has specific needs. She was very responsive when I checked in and didn't hesitate to ask questions if she needed clarification on something (our diabetic dog can be finicky). She's great!
I would like to start out and say Donelle was amazing! It's always nerve racking to find someone to watch your dogs when you go away on vacation. We were so lucky to find Donelle on Rover. She responded quickly to our request for in home care. She came over a few days before we had to leave so she could meet the dogs and see my house. She showed up at the scheduled time and was very organized with notes and questions to ask about each dog. Our dogs loved hanging out with her while we were gone and she made sure to send lots of updates and pictures which we loved. I would not hesitate to book her again to watch our dogs and she will be the first person that I will reach out to. She really did an amazing job!

This was our first experience with Rover and we are so happy we found Kristin. She put us at ease when she came for a meet & greet before our trip. When we got home our dog seemed very happy, not stressed, and the house was very tidy. We will definitely book Kristin again if we have the opportunity.
Avery took good care of Maggie and our home while we were out of state. Unfortunately, on her last day, my dog experienced a sudden medical emergency (unrelated to Avery’s care). She did everything right handling the situation including calling our emergency contact and getting Maggie to the emergency vet!
