About: Animals have always been an important part of our lives. We raised one of our dogs from an 8 week old puppy and adopted another from a shelter when she was estimated to be 1 to 2 years old, she was with us for over 17 years! We cared for them through every stage of life. That experience taught us the importance of patience, consistency, exercise, and paying attention to each dog’s unique personality and needs. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I’ll care for your furry family member with the same love and attention we gave our own. I currently work part time, which gives me flexibility for dog walks, drop in visits, and house sitting. My schedule varies, but I’m available many afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. I’m active and genuinely enjoy long walks, hikes, and spending time outdoors, so whether your dog prefers a leisurely stroll or plenty of exercise, I’ll make sure they get the attention and activity they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I cared for my own two dogs for many years, raising one from a puppy and adopting the other from a shelter. I have experience caring for dogs through every stage of life, including senior dogs with changing needs. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep your home secure, provide regular updates and photos, and treat your pet with the same patience, love, and respect I gave my own dogs. I previously worked as a receptionist at a veterinary clinic, where I learned to recognize when a pet may need medical attention and became familiar with common health concerns. While I'm not a veterinarian, I know what warning signs to look for and won't hesitate to contact you or seek veterinary care if something doesn't seem right. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing fetch, going on adventures, or curling up on the couch for cuddles, I'm happy to match their routine and make them feel comfortable while you're away. My goal is to treat every pet like they're my own, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're safe, loved, and well cared for. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family! I currently work part-time at a hospital in Lincoln, where I work two 12-hour shifts each week. Since I create my own schedule, I know my availability up to six weeks in advance. In short, I have plenty of flexibility and time to provide the care and attention your fur baby deserves! I am more than willing to watch your fur babies in the comfort of their own home, where they can stay in a familiar and comfortable environment. I know how important it is for pets to keep their normal routine, especially when their humans are away. I will treat your pets like they are my own and make sure they get plenty of love, attention, playtime, and care while you’re gone. I am also respectful of your home and will make sure everything is left the way I found it.

“Carissa was great - took great care of my 4-year old dog. He's absolutely my baby and she was so responsive to all of my requests for him. She sent me pictures and ensured he had a great time while I was gone. The trip was very last-minute, and I was sick in the lead-up. Carissa was flexible and responsive in scheduling a meet and greet with him. While I was away, she followed all of my requests and sent pictures so I could check in on him. Overall, she was excellent and I will absolutely be checking in with her the next time I'm out of town!”

About: I love being around animals! I got my first dog when I was 15 and trained him myself. Then I have dogs sat for countless families. I have cared for puppies to senior dogs and of all kinds. I work part time and go to college full time, but I have lots of time in my schedule for pups. I am avalible in the afternoons and on weekends I do not have a fenced in yard, but I have a yard and I love to go for walks and be outside with your dog! I can crate them if preferred or accommodate to many situations.
