Reliable, responsible, thoughtful—and a good pet photographer, which is always a plus when you leave your pets behind and miss them!!”

About: I’m Elizabeth and this is my baby-boy Umbra, a 3yr old Australian Shepherd. I love dogs, grew up with them, and when it came to purchasing a home, thought about my future dogs first… no, seriously! We have a large, fenced yard with plenty of room for dogs to run and play. Just a block away, we have a lovely wooded area for afternoon walks. Experience - My husband Nathan and I have taken Puppy, Adolescence, and Obedience 1, 2, and 3 training through Greater Lincoln Obedience Club - I was an Assistant Instructor for Obedience 1 - Volunteer dog walker at the Capital Humane Society - I've completed Grooming courses 1 and 2 through Kenl Inn - Pet First Aid course through Kenl Inn - Pet Massage course through SCC continuing education Umbra's Story Umbra is a high-energy, working breed so we got him into dog sports! He loved Agility 1, 2, and 3 until the teeter totter became too scary. We switched over to Flyball and self-taught Dock Diving. Because of his health, we’ve swapped dog sports for trick and sniff training. To keep him active and social we frequent dog parks, Offleash Dog Bar, and dog friendly stores and restaurants. He comes with us everywhere he can, and we’ve taken vacations just for him! When Umbra was a pup, we noticed abnormalities with his eating patterns and stool. For a year, we worked closely with our vet and uncovered severe food allergies, gastroenteritis, and a vitamin deficiency. Thanks to a restricted diet including daily vitamins and probiotics his tummy is doing well! When he was neutered, hip laxity was discovered that would eventually lead to arthritic symptoms. To give him a pain free life as along as possible, we added another daily supplement, started weekly water therapy, and were instructed to administer a monthly subcutaneous shot (Nathan handles the needle). It was discovering his enlarged heart that put an end to dog sports, but he still lives a fulfilling life. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. My day is already structured to include a minimum of 3 exercise / play sessions a day for 30-60mins each. Umbra is well socialized and loves large and small dogs. He would love for your pup to visit! Your dog will receive plenty exercise and play, belly rubs, neighborhood walks, and approved outings and treats. We have toys, puzzle games, and snuffling and lick toys for them to engage with. If they need a contained break, we have crates and a playpen to block off larger spaces. You will receive lots of photos and the comfort of knowing your pet is well cared for. For dog's staying in their own home, just let me know their routine and any special needs.

About: Born around lots of animals, including the GSD my mom bred many going to K9 programs and I would show them when I was little. Growing up, I was part of raising & training hunting dogs (Labs) & a seizure dog (Sheltie). As an adult I've had a GSD, Pomeranians and pitbulls (potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, basic commands like sit stay come - clicker method). I also learned some about senior care helping my friend who worked at Hearts United shelter for several years. I currently don't have any dogs, but have cats. I have minimal appointments (2 hour long weekly standing & sporadic others) and errands (school drop off and pickup) so I can be available to care for your pet nearly 24/7 Caring for your dog at your home, I would follow whatever routine, usual/best practices you have for them there. At my apartment, there is a large open grassy area right behind my building and a great walking/bike path, but it is NOT fenced so I would be taking out any dog myself on a leash. If I needed to leave my apartment for an appointment/errand and could not bring your dog along, I would want to crate to ensure there's no accidents while unsupervised in a strange environment.

“Hannah is phenomenal. Super friendly, punctual and professional. Scout is super timid and he took to her immediately and actually gave her a hug on her second sitting appointment, which he never does. I highly recommend her!!”

About: I’m a college student at Union Adventist University, and I’ve been around dogs since I was six. I’ve helped care for dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. Pet care has always been a part of my life, and I’m someone you can count on to treat your dog like family. I work multiple part-time jobs and attend Union Adventist University, but I still have plenty of flexibility. I’m available in the mornings, around noon, and most evenings. Overnights also work well for me, depending on the day. I always make sure pet care fits into my schedule so your pet gets the attention they deserve. As a property manager, I understand the importance of respecting other people’s homes. I’m very mindful of keeping things secure, clean, and just the way I found them. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely and make sure your pet feels safe and loved. I also provide updates and photos so you know everything is going smoothly while you’re away.

“Ashley did a great job house sitting and taking care of our mini Australian Shepherd. Our dog loved Ashley and responded well with her. At the meet and greet, Ashley asked questions and answered our questions to set up a good plan for taking care of our dog. We felt very comfortable going away knowing that Ashley could take care of things. During our trip, Ashley would send a text and pictures about how things were going. We didn't have any issues come up and everything went smoothly. Ashley also took care of my plants and garden. When we got home, the house was neat and picked up and Marshall was well taken care of. We will definitely see if Ashley is available for future trips.”

About: I have pet-sit for many years; since I was a teenager. I'll do check-ins, in home car, of house-sitting. I have house-sat for a months time with 6 animals before. There is no job too big or too small for me! As a homeschooling mom with a 6 year old daughter, my schedule is wide open. We take care of our dog daily; it's built into our routine. As me as your pet-sitter, I can be available to whatever your needs are. I can take dogs on frequent walks around my neighborhood, or do drop in visits at whatever time is best for your animal. I normally take my dog on 3 walks a day, but I can do more based on your needs.

Elizabeth & Nathan S.
“Over the years, I’ve had Elizabeth and her husband watch my Aussie probably a dozen times and they’re the only ones I really trust. They have a Aussie of their own so they really understand the idiosyncrasies that make an Aussie an Aussie. From the constant eye-contact to bottomless wells of energy, they get it. I get plenty of updates too, from texts to photos and videos. I never worry about him because I know he’s in good hands, and is being treated like a member of the family, not a guest. Highly recommend!”

Kassidy R.
“Kassidy is a very responsible pet caregiver. She is very knowledgeable with a variety of cat and dog breeds. Your pet is in good hands with her.”

Hannah M.

Lincoln B.
“Lincoln has been a huge help to me while taking care of dogs over the years. At times we’ve had up to 14 dogs in the house, and he’s always stepped in with feeding, walking, and cleaning without hesitation. He handles a busy environment calmly and responsibly, and the dogs absolutely love him. He’s very sweet with them and always takes his time letting nervous or shy dogs warm up before trying to pet or engage with them. He’s also great at adjusting to each dog’s needs and routine, which is so important. He’s also worked in other people’s homes babysitting kids and caring for an elderly woman, and has always been respectful, tidy, and trustworthy. I’d absolutely trust him to take care of any of my pets or someone else’s. He’s watched our own dogs and Rover dogs when I’ve been away and always makes sure they’re safe, happy, and cared for. He’s dependable, kind, and takes pet care seriously. Anyone would be lucky to have him walking or caring for their pets!”

Rachel B.
“Rachel is one of the kindest, most genuine friends I have ever met. She will, at the drop of a hat, watch my dog for me when needed, and he absolutely loves her. She cares for her dog (and mine when she has him!) with such attention to detail, and even taught me how to make my dog's food homemade so that he could be as healthy as possible. She is attentive, loves taking them to the park, long walks, and giving them all the cuddles. She even gave my dog a bath one time when he got a little too muddy. I could not recommend a better person to be a partner to Rover, and any dog owner would be so lucky to have her care for their pet.”

Amber F.

“Amber is amazing with my senior dog! He has a hard time getting around. She is so patient and gentle with him. He just loves her! Amber will be our longtime sitter from now on!”
