“Skylar is exactly what we were looking for and more. It is hard to leave your fur baby with anyone but it is clear Akira adores her, and she genuinely cares for him too. We went on a trip and she was there to walk Akira everyday, even having our family tag along and give them tips on walking. In 3 weeks Akira has become a completely different puppy on walks. He still has things to work on but walks are much easier and we understand better now to deal with issues (like when he sees other dogs or wants to eat a stick). We can tell he is happier and calmer on walks and we are as well. Skylar is also quite professional which is essential. We need someone reliable. She is always on time, responds to messages and answers questions. She always sends thorough summaries, tips and pictures. skylar goes above and beyond expectations. She genuinely cares, and is willing to work with you for your specific needs. We have had other dog walkers not correctly react to Akira picking up sticks. She understands and is patient to train him rather than get irritable. I think the key difference with Skylar and other walkers is she has experience training puppies which helps her better understand them and know how to react in situations. She isn’t just providing walks but valuable training and a fun experience for our puppy when we can’t be there. We are so blessed to have found Skylar and appreciate all her hard work”

About: I have been in Pet Rescue for over 37 years I currently volunteer with a local dog rescue where I handle their online listing among other things. I am a failed Foster with 3 dogs and a cat and also with an acre of land I am home to 2 little goats 6 chickens and 2 bunnies. I have an immense love for animals that I feel speak to me, (well not literally I wish!) I think they sense that they can trust me. I'm one of those people who have gone to someone's home for the first time and they have told me that their cat and/or dog doesn't like people and their pet will immediately come up to me and let me pet them and then I always hear wow they've never done that before. With no kids or spouse I devote my time to my pets and your pets as I've always been a go-to for all my friends for drop-in pet care or pet sitting and so I thought I would finally set up a Rover account. I have a flexible day job that I can mark myself in and out of as I need. I am off Sat/Sun/Mon so great for a 3 day weekend pet sitting. I would care for pets in their owners home, however depending on the client, I could host in my home where I have 2 separately fenced yards in the back of my home.

I'm available weekdays and weekends for all activities. As time goes on, my schedule may change, but you'll always be the first to know! For regular visits more than once a day, I can only provide services in a five mile radius. I make sure to follow your instructions exactly to make sure you can rest easy while your pet is being taken care of. About: I’ve had pets all my life since I can remember. I think my cat iris is my most proud accomplishment. She was raised in a hoarder house 4 years before she was surrendered to the humane society. She was a special case, scared of just about anything and anyone. She’d been with me for three years now and she’s the happiest girl. Loves belly rubs and has crazy elevator butt. Also drools like crazy but she has her own closet in the house to have some privacy to herself.
