She is especially accommodating—we had our regular sitter bail on us the day before we were set to leave the state for the holidays—and she answered our request to pet sit for a week, over the holidays of all times, within 30 minutes! She was very detailed in her communications about how our pets were doing each night, and she wasn’t afraid to ask a question if she had one regarding how to deal with anything our animals were doing that wasn’t specifically listed in the instructions, which I especially appreciated. She could have easily done the bare minimum with things—but she put in the effort to go the extra mile by doing things like staying with our cats for extended periods to make sure they were eating their dinner when she could have fed them, assumed they would eat correctly, and call it a day. Misty also made good decisions on her own if we didn’t answer a question she had while she was at our home for a drop-in. Our cats seemed to be very comfortable with her, they are very particular and don’t warm up to everyone; however Misty was able to get them to eat their dinner better than most past sitters (they tend to be reserved and get anxious when we’re gone, they don’t eat well with many past sitters—but this wasn’t a problem!)”

About: I’ve had dogs, cats, and small animals my whole life. I’ve even fostered with rescues in the past. I recently lost my own dog and thought maybe I could cuddle someone else’s while they travel. I work from home and have a fully fenced yard which your pet would have access to at any time they like! I work from home for the Dept of Veterans Affairs and usually have the back door open for access to the fenced yard throughout the day. Outside of errands, I am typically home with them. I have a fenced yard with plenty of access for the pets. When they’re here, they’re family so if they want in the sofa: great! Sleep in bed: even better! Or if they prefer the safety of their crate, that’s good too. I want them to feel comfortable. Unless they’re from the same household, I prefer to keep one dog at a time to make sure they get undivided attention. But, if they’re social and like to play, I live super close to the dog park! If you just want drop-in visits or walks, just let me know how I can best accommodate and I’ll be happy to work something out to suit your needs.
About: I have cared for all sorts animals my whole life, from as small as a gerbil to as large as a llama. I have previous experience working in a boarding kennel and veterinary office. I have experience working with special needs animals and administrating medications. I work full time, 6-8 hour shifts 5-6 days a week. “Moira was awesome! She took such great care of Rufus, sent a lot of pictures every day and filled me in on how he was while I was away! She went above and beyond with the meet and greet, having Rufus explore the place before going there to stay. She took him on walks and made sure to have water available and a foldable bowl for any moment he needed to drink. She was thoughtful throughout every part! I highly recommend her and couldn’t be happier with my Rover experience. :)”
“Left my pups (and houseplants) with Jenny while I was gone on vacation over the Christmas holidays. She was great, and the pups were pooped when I brought them home! I happened to have a vet appointment for Max that I'd scheduled a couple of days after my vacation. Both dogs had lost a few pounds, yeah! And Max's back right knee was doing very well, no swelling, heat or favoring. Jenny and her family did a great job with keeping an eye on him and keeping him from overdoing it. They were also very understanding when I managed to screw up my pickup date. I'd inadvertently written down my return flight on the day before it was actually scheduled, so I'd scheduled their pickup time for the next day, just about at the time when my flight was supposed to depart. And of course, the flight was delayed about two and a half hours. Luckily, I was able to pick them up about 5 hours after the designated pickup time. I will definitely be looking to her for boarding again in the future!”
“The only reason I would not want to give her the best rating would be because I want her all to myself!!! I could not have wished for or dreamed of them getting the unbelievably wonderful care that they received. Going far beyond the call of duty is an understatement not to mentioned she was like finding a miracle in my time of need. I can't thank her enough.”
“Otis had another great stay with Dominique. Dominique has the experience and confidence to make drop off and pick up go very smoothly. She sent a daily update with several photos so we could see Otis was having a good time and was well cared for. Otis seemed to feel right at home while he was there. We will surely have Otis stay with Dominique again.”
