“Marisa is lovely and treated our dog Daisy like her own. As soon as we met her we knew she genuinely loves dogs and we have already booked Marisa again for when we go on holidays. We would highly recommend Marisa to other dog owners.”

“Kieran and his wife Karen were fantastic! First time leaving Reo and both made us feel very assured and relaxed about our decision. Flexible with drop off and pick up which was perfect and nice back garden to play. Reo had a great time also, long walks on the beach and in the Forrest. Was knackered when we picked him up which is a great sign. Would recommend and will be teturning in the future. Thanks Both!”

“Faisal was a great minder for my dog , Millie a golden retriever 4yrs old & while I was away Millie got sick & Faisal had to hire a car & bring her to our own Vet miles away she recovered completely TG He is very kind & is devoted to animals. A great guy to have your dog 🐕 minded by .”

“Lilian was great minding Millie. When I met her it was clear that she is very experienced and knowledgeable with dogs and showed great affection for Millie and her own dog Pepsi. It was obvious Millie was going to be well looked after. Communications throughout the dogminding was perfect and I had peace of mind that I didn't need to worry about Millie in my absence. Anyone would be lucky to have Lilian mind their doggie.”

About: I had my first dog from age 11 and have loved animals my entire life. I have a great connection with animals and am very patient, kind and like to think I have a way with animals and understanding them, and that each has its own personality. I work from home most of the time alone so I am more than happy to have the company. I am right next to a big open green so can hop out for toilet breaks and letting the dogs run around (on-leash). There are plenty of dog walkers in the estate so they'll have plenty of smells and enrichment. Animals will stay inside the apartment and receive love, playtime and affection, but for breaks they must be on-leash as I don't have a garden, rather a large shared green area, which I am happy to take them out to play/do their business in every few hours while I work.
“Maria was such a great sitter and our puppy LOVED her!! She was very prompt with communication, sent us a load of photos and videos during the time, and even took our dog to the beach during the weekend. 10/10 recommend!”
“It was our first time, someone, who would be looking after and staying the night with them. It’s hard on the dog and owner. Daniela, made that all disappear, instead felt calm, knowing she was in good hands, that she will be ok. I was sent updates, photos and videos, that meant a lot So yes, 100% recommend Daniela.”

“Helena and Jorn are just fantastic - couldn't imagine leaving my dog Pepper with nicer people. They communicated regularly with me while I was away, sending lots of photos which was a great comfort. They are such a warm couple and you can tell they truly have a love of dogs which is all you can ask for really.”
“David took care of my dog, Tilo, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He constantly checked in with me and sent pictures, which was incredibly reassuring and immediately put me at ease. Tilo is a very timid dog, so I’m always careful about who looks after him. When I picked him up after staying with David for the first time, he was very relaxed and genuinely seemed right at home. I’ve had other sitters before, and David’s calm demeanor was clearly a great match for Tilo. David is also very responsive, and communication with him was easy throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend him.”

“Gabrielle took excellent care of Max, giving him lots of love and attention and walks during his stay with her. She did a wonderful job communicating throughout the process and sent photos documenting their time together on the day. She has made her apartment very dog friendly with a dog bed, water bowl, and treats. I would definitely recommend Gabrielle's place as a dog's home away from home.”
“I was initially worried about leaving my dog behind, as he had only been with a minder a few times before. However, from the moment we met Xia and his lovely family during our first walk, we felt a connection. Our Malinois immediately bonded with Bella, Xia’s adorable bulldog, which put my mind at ease. Thanks to Xia, we were able to enjoy a wonderful visit with our extended family for Christmas. Throughout our time away, we received regular updates, including videos and pictures of our furry friend, showcasing just how much fun he was having with Xia and his family. It was clear that our dog was in great hands! I highly recommend Xia as a dog minder. He is a true dog lover, and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave my dog with him again in the future. Thank you, Xia, for providing such a caring and enjoyable experience!”

“Lucy stayed with Joyce for a week and had an amazing time. I received pictures during her stay which made me feel at ease. Joyce was a lovely lady to deal with and I instantly felt comfortable leaving my girl with her. I would highly recommend and will be using Joyce again in the future. ”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for Dog Boarding in Bray on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per night (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up to date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in Wicklow ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis (Adenovirus), and Leptospirosis.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Some boarding sitters stay with the dogs in their care for most of the day, while others may step out for work, errands or other commitments. Each sitter’s schedule and the amount of time your dog may be left alone will vary, so it is important to agree expectations before the stay begins.
Before booking, tell the sitter how long your dog can comfortably be left alone and confirm their typical schedule during the stay. Adding the maximum number of hours your dog can be left alone to their profile can also help sitters decide whether they are the right match.
Boarding does not automatically include round-the-clock supervision. If your dog needs someone present at all times, ask whether the sitter offers constant care or 24/7 care. This may require a separate arrangement and may not be included in the sitter’s standard boarding rate.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
