About: Hi there! I’m a 24-year-old dog lover who recently moved to Dublin from Cork. Back home, I have two adorable, fluffy dogs who I miss dearly, which is why I’d be thrilled to offer dog walking services here in Dublin. I understand how important it is to ensure our dogs get the exercise, mental stimulation, and attention they need, and I’d love to help with that! Whether your dog loves long walks, going to the beach, playful adventures, or just a good stroll around the local area, I’m happy to tailor each walk to suit their needs. I’m reliable, responsible, and passionate about providing the best care for your furry friends. Let me help keep your dog happy, healthy, and active while you're busy with your day. I’d be delighted to give your dog the love and attention they deserve during their daily walks! Services offered: 30-60 minute dog walks (collected & returned to your home) Availability: I work a hybrid 9-5:30 job, so am usually available early mornings 7:30/8am, lunch time 1pm, and evenings after 5:30pm. With my job I have the option to work from home so can provide your pet with as much attention as needed. Walks would take place before 9am, during lunch, or after 5pm. I have a large fenced secure back garden that your pet can come in and out from as needed. I’m not strict with the furniture, pets more than welcome to lie across the couch, whatever makes them comfortable. I will try to accommodate your pet as close to their usual schedule as possible.
About: Hi, I’m Kai! I’ve been a small dog parent for 14 years, so I know firsthand how much trust it takes to hand over the leash to someone else. Watching my own dog grow into a senior has taught me to pay attention to the little things such as mealtime routines and gentle, slow-paced walks. My home is a quiet, comfortable space where small dogs and cats can stick to their usual routines without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. You’ll get clear updates and plenty of photos while you're away, and I’ll treat your pet with the same patience and attention I give my own. I work from home 9 - 5 during weekdays with a flexible schedule so rest assured your pets will have constant companionships! I’d love to chat and see if we’re a good fit so feel free to send a message! Working from home Monday through Friday gives me a super flexible daily routine. Since I’m home throughout the day, guest pets get constant companionship and aren't left unsupervised. I can easily step away from my desk for mid-day walks, potty breaks, feeding times, or a quick belly rub, making sure your pet stays relaxed and on their normal home schedule while you're away. My home is a cozy, secure flat designed specifically to be a safe haven for small pets. Because the space is small and quiet, guest dogs and cats can relax without the noise or stress of a massive, busy household. For potty breaks and stretch sessions, we have immediate access to a courtyard just downstairs, making frequent trips outside quick and easy. Working from home allows me to keep a constant eye on everyone, ensure doors and windows remain secure, and create separate, calm spaces if a cat or small dog needs quiet solo time to adjust.

“We could not have asked for a better experience with Marisa. I was ridiculously nervous and anxious leaving little Burger with someone for the first time, but from the moment we dropped him off I felt completely reassured. Marisa was so good with Burger, she sent us lots of photos and updates over the weekend and it was clear from every picture that Burger was comfortable, happy and being so well cared for. You can tell Marisa adores dogs and really cares. When we collected Burger he was totally happy and settled there which meant the world. We are beyond grateful to Marisa for taking such good care of him and would 100% be happy to leave Burger with Marisa again, can't recommend her highly enough <3”

“This was our first time using Faisal and we can honestly say we couldn't have asked for more. It is always a little scary teying someone new but his love for dogs is so evident and he constantly shared images and videos of Ziggy and their gorgeous little chia. We would highly recommend. So happy with experience and will be back.”
“I was initially worried about leaving my dog behind, as he had only been with a minder a few times before. However, from the moment we met Xia and his lovely family during our first walk, we felt a connection. Our Malinois immediately bonded with Bella, Xia’s adorable bulldog, which put my mind at ease. Thanks to Xia, we were able to enjoy a wonderful visit with our extended family for Christmas. Throughout our time away, we received regular updates, including videos and pictures of our furry friend, showcasing just how much fun he was having with Xia and his family. It was clear that our dog was in great hands! I highly recommend Xia as a dog minder. He is a true dog lover, and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave my dog with him again in the future. Thank you, Xia, for providing such a caring and enjoyable experience!”

“Our dog, Rua, instantly reconnected with Joyce at the beginning of his latest short stay. He was so excited to see her again and they had some lovely adventures together. Joyce is so good with Rua and we feel lucky to have found a wonderful dog sitter that enjoys her time with him. See you again soon, Joyce.”

“Maria was such a great sitter and our puppy LOVED her!! She was very prompt with communication, sent us a load of photos and videos during the time, and even took our dog to the beach during the weekend. 10/10 recommend!”

“This has been the second experience with Kristina and I can only confirm that she is a great minder and genuinely a dogs lover! Phoebe, my 2 years old Dalmatian, stayed with her for 2 weeks this time. I had the impression that Phoebe really enjoyed spending time with her. Kristina is very reliable, trustworthy and I was very comfortable leaving Phoebe with her for a long length period. If I could, I would score her 10 stars!!! I definitely recommend Kristina to everybody!”

“So happy we found Matthew to mind Sammy while we were away! We had to find someone to look after our golden retriever at very short notice and Matthew really took the worry out of that. He is obviously very comfortable and experienced with dogs and Sammy was clearly happy from the moment he arrived. Matthew sent regular photos, videos and updates which we loved and as it was during the heat wave, he made sure that Sammy kept as cool as possible and took walks earlier in the day before it got too hot. Would not hesitate to leave Sammy with Matthew again! Thank you!”

Left our little Kai with Suzanne and he had a 10/10 time. Suzanne is so caring and mindful, she truly loves dogs and gives so much time to them. She sent us updates often so we knew Kai was happy and having a great time! Kai never showed fear for fireworks so we didn’t think it would be an issue, but unfortunately on the 31st of October he got a fright, she took Kai into her bedroom, closed the door , got cuddly with Kai and even played calming music to support him, and even let him sleep above her head as he found most comfort there. Easy to say Suzanne goes above and beyond for her guests! She also has a MASSIVE garden enough space even for a whippet or greyhound to stretch their legs!

Faisal was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. He was really engaged and responsive throughout the booking process and, most importantly, looked after Luna so well with lots of walks and activities for her, and daily updates and photos. I would be delighted for Luna to stay with Faisal again.
Victoria and Damian took such good care of Eva! They really treated her like their own dog and made sure she felt at home from the beginning. Victoria asked a bunch of questions when we met to make sure Eva’s routine was kept as it was and she was sending updates and pictures everyday. We were really able to enjoy our trip knowing that Eva was with them and with their sweet dog Freddie that is now Eva’s good friend. 🐶🤎🐶

It was our first time, someone, who would be looking after and staying the night with them. It’s hard on the dog and owner. Daniela, made that all disappear, instead felt calm, knowing she was in good hands, that she will be ok. I was sent updates, photos and videos, that meant a lot So yes, 100% recommend Daniela.

This was my first time leaving my dog with Marisa and I highly recommend her. We did a nice meet and greet to ensure our dogs got on well. My dog stayed 2 nights with her and I received regular updates and photos, this really helped put my mind at ease. Marisa is lovely and really spent time understanding my dog's likes and dislikes. I collected a very happy dog.
Thank you Helena and Jorn for taking such good care of Beau while we were away. Loved how you made us feel that Beau was on a vacation too ☺️ thank you for all the regular updates and photos of him we loved seeing him with his new friends. You’re both very kind and caring and we hope you can look after him again when needed. Thank you 🥰

We couldn’t be happier with Svetlana! She looked after our dog, Bucks, for 17 nights at her home, and we felt completely at ease the whole time. She is incredibly responsible, kind, and caring. She followed all of Bucks’ routines and instructions perfectly, including giving him his medication and making sure all of his needs were met. Every day she sent us photos, updates, and shared how Bucks was doing, which meant so much to us. It was obvious from the pictures how happy, relaxed, and loved he was. He received so much attention, cuddles, playtime, and care, and he truly bonded with her. We are so grateful for the wonderful care she gave Bucks and will definitely book with her again in the future. We highly recommend Svetlana to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and loving pet sitter!❤️

Cannot recommend Sarah and her partner more. Possibly the best minders I have ever had! Finn is an anxious rescue on medication and from the minute he arrived I could tell he was in great, loving hands. Sarah sent me regular texts and videos of him and put my mind at ease that he was incred

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost of Dog Boarding in Blackrock is €40 per night as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between €2 and €54 per night.
On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the pri ce s hown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.
As of November 2026, there are 457 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across the city of Blackrock. About 90% typically respond to requests within 60 minutes.
Enter your address and booking dates to see which sitters are available near you. You can also message multiple sitters to improve your chances of finding the right care.
Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up to date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in Dublin ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis (Adenovirus), and Leptospirosis.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Some boarding sitters stay with the dogs in their care for most of the day, while others may step out for work, errands or other commitments. Each sitter’s schedule and the amount of time your dog may be left alone will vary, so it is important to agree expectations before the stay begins.
Before booking, tell the sitter how long your dog can comfortably be left alone and confirm their typical schedule during the stay. Adding the maximum number of hours your dog can be left alone to their profile can also help sitters decide whether they are the right match.
Boarding does not automatically include round-the-clock supervision. If your dog needs someone present at all times, ask whether the sitter offers constant care or 24/7 care. This may require a separate arrangement and may not be included in the sitter’s standard boarding rate.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
