About: Hi! I’m Minji, and I’ve been living with my two dogs for over 6 years. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities and energy levels. I have two very different dogs of my own — one is active and loves long walks and adventures, while the other prefers a calmer lifestyle. They are both friendly, well-socialised and used to meeting new dogs while respecting their space, helping create a calm and relaxed environment for visiting dogs. We live in a house with a fully enclosed back garden, and dogs staying with us can freely enjoy the house (except our bedroom) and garden. We’re close to several parks and go for two walks every day. On weekends, with your permission, we can also enjoy longer walks, beach trips or hikes. We only care for one family’s dog(s) at a time, so I can give each dog plenty of individual attention and care. I’ll follow your dog’s usual feeding, walking and medication routines as closely as possible, and send daily photos and activity updates so you know how they’re doing. Meet & Greets are always welcome! I want both you and your dog to feel comfortable before their stay. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, loved and at home while you’re away Our daily routine includes two walks; morning and evening. On weekends, if the weather allows, I usually take the dogs to hiking for 1-2hours, and go to nearby cafe for puppuchino. I live in a house with a fully enclosed garden where dogs can safely relax and play. My two dogs are friendly, calm and well-socialised around other dogs. I only care for one family at a time so your dog receives personalised attention and care.

About: I have over one year of experience caring for dogs here in Ireland and have looked after dogs with different personalities, sizes, and routines. Before moving abroad, I always had dogs of my own, so caring for animals has been a natural part of my life for many years. I’ve always been used to the responsibility, attention, and daily care that dogs need to feel happy, safe, and loved. I provide a calm, safe, and caring environment where dogs receive plenty of attention, companionship, regular walks, playtime, and a consistent routine throughout the day. I understand how important it is for owners to feel comfortable leaving their pets with someone trustworthy, so I always do my best to make each dog feel relaxed and at home. I live in my own apartment in a quiet and safe area, with a park directly in front of my home, which is perfect for walks and outdoor time. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages during their stay for extra peace of mind My work schedule is flexible, which allows me to spend quality time with the dogs in my care during both weekdays and weekends. Dogs staying with me will have regular walks, attention, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. They will usually go out at least three times a day, and on my days off I have even more flexibility to adapt to their routine and needs. Creating a calm, safe, and loving environment is very important to me when caring for dogs. I live in a quiet area with plenty of space nearby for walks, including a park directly in front of my home, which is perfect for outdoor time and exercise. I always pay close attention to each dog’s behaviour, routine, and comfort level to help them settle in and feel relaxed during their stay. Whether they are energetic and playful or more calm and shy, I adapt to their personality and needs. I also make sure owners feel comfortable by providing updates, photos, and good communication throughout the stay .

“Gerard was fantastic with Ryder, it was our first time to leave Ryder with anyone and Gerard provided daily updates including photos and videos to give us reassurance that he was fine, as we were worried as to how Ryder would react to being away from us, we would highly recommend and will 100% be us him again if we’re going away!”

“100% recommend! Harvey loves staying with Doireann and her family! He was well looked after, cared for, played with, and treated like a family member. I know based on photos and how happy he was when we picked him up. I think he likes them better than us hahaaa! Such piece of mind to have found her!”

“I was nervous to get a dog sitter for my golden Comet as it was my first time having no family members mind him, but Anastasiia was the best choice I could have possibly made. She sent updates everyday throughout his stay with lots of pictures and videos which completely calmed my nerves, and it was clear Comet had a fabulous time and was well looked after. We will be definitely returning to Anastasiia whenever he needs a dog sitter again and I couldn’t recommend her enough!!! 🐾🤎🐶”

About: Having just lost my best friend Quincey, I want to open up my home to any other dogs that need some doggy sitting 🖤 My home is warm and cosy, and I have everything here that's needed to look after your little dog. As I've had a dog here for years, the place is definitely dog proof! Lots of comfy corners for your dog to relax in. I am a big walker, so will have your dog out and about to get lots of exercise (but if they're not that way inclined, I can couch rot too!) I'm close to Phoenix Park where I loved to go with Quincey every day, but also 3 more local parks. I also have a fully enclosed back garden for quick toilet breaks. We would also always go for big walks in the Wicklow Mountains, or down to one of our gorgeous beaches - if you're comfortable with me bringing your dog to these spots, I would be more than happy to do so! You can be sure your dog will get so much love in my home, please get in touch if you think you'd like to discuss doggy sitting or boarding any time. X I work from home 3 days a week, and have flexibility around which days I want to take. So it would be rare that your dog would be left alone for longer than a few hours. I'm only a short cycle away from the office! My garden is fully enclosed so they are free to roam and sniff around the place. Happy for them to sleep in the bed if that's what they're used to 😅

About: I absolutely adore dogs and love nothing more in life than spending time making their lives as pampered as possible. I have experience with all ages, temperaments and also can cater for medical and behavioural needs. I have a certificate in Dog heath: dog breeds and basic anatomy. I'm currently working part time as a teacher so will have plenty of time to pamper your pooches. I'm available weekends from early morning and some days from 2pm until late. I have a walled garden and two friendly labradors who will love to keep your pet company if wanted. There is no area off limits in my home so your dog can have their pick of where they want to rest and play.

I work shift work, so I am available to walk or mind your dog different days each week including mornings or evenings depending on what my schedule is. About: I’ve always had a dog all my life. I’ve moved away from home and miss my dog all the time. Walking by myself isn’t the same so I’d love to help you out and walk your dogs! I’m a teacher so I’m free every weekend. It involves long walks and cuddles. Feeding is no problem and anything else that they usually do in their days. I have a fenced garden and a big living room kitchen area for your dogs to feel safe in. We’ve a lovely neighbourhood with parks to visit.
“Lucy stayed with Joyce for a week and had an amazing time. I received pictures during her stay which made me feel at ease. Joyce was a lovely lady to deal with and I instantly felt comfortable leaving my girl with her. I would highly recommend and will be using Joyce again in the future. ”
About: Hi! I’m a dog-loving mom in my mid-30s living with my young family of four in a peaceful countryside setting. We’re lucky to have five acres of land, including two and a half acres that are fully fenced—perfect for safe, supervised play and exploring. We’re also just a short distance from the beach (less than 2km away), where I walk daily with our dog. Your dog will enjoy plenty of fresh air, exercise, and stimulation as part of our routine. We have a friendly, young Golden Retriever Rough Collie cross who is playful, gentle, and gets along really well with other dogs. Our home is very much a dog-loving environment, and any visiting dog will be treated like part of the family. I also have several years of experience volunteering with assistance dogs, where I trained three puppies who went on to support families. This has given me a strong understanding of dog behaviour, training, and care. Your dog will be in safe, caring, and experienced hands with us. Both myself and my husband, Ciaran, work from home so someone will always be around to care for your pet. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well looked after. Our home has a consistent and flexible routine, with plenty of company throughout the week. I work from home three days a week, and my husband works from home on the other two, so there is always someone around to supervise, care for, and spend time with the dogs. We’re very active day-to-day. I take our dog out for one to two walks daily, often including trips to the nearby beach, as well as time exploring our private land. At home, dogs have access to over two and a half acres of fully fenced garden and an attached field, giving them lots of safe space to run, play, and relax. Between walks, outdoor time, and being part of family life indoors, dogs staying with us enjoy a balanced routine of exercise, stimulation, and rest. Dogs staying with us are welcomed as one of our own, sharing our home and daily life. They can relax indoors with the family or enjoy plenty of time outside playing and exploring at their own pace.
About: I just love pets. I had 4 dogs in live, 2 cats and miss a lot play with pet here in Ireland. I would be delighted in taking care your pet and make them happy 😊 I am working Monday to Friday during the day hours. I will love to pet or onboarding your pet on Saturdays, Sundays and week nights I have a nice spaced apartment near by Saint Patrick’s Catedral where I can bring your pet for walk and meet other pets, if you like this idea.

About: I am happy to look after your dog/cat overnight for as many days needed, and will spoil them with cuddles and games. I love getting to know each pet's unique personality and quirks and connect with them as if they're my own. I have a car and will bring them to the park and beach for excursions, and vet if needed. I've always been close with animals, growing up in the countryside and spending lots of time on my grandparents' farm. I have been officially petsitting for the last four years, but previously have looked after dogs and cats for friends and family unofficially. I have experience both with (untrained) puppies, senior citizens, dogs with physical disabilities, and nervous and anxious pets who need extra care and patience. I also have experience preparing specialised foods and administrating medications. I am very happy to do a meet-and-greet beforehand, either in your home or in mine. I'm a part-time student, with flexible time. I live with my partner and our best friends; who are another couple. We will look after your dog/cat together. Your pet will never be unattended; there will always be someone at home with them. We are active- especially if we have a dog staying with us, we will make a special effort to bring your dog to the park and beach to go for walks and play games. I have a fenced balcony and a fenced yard/garden below for your dog to explore. I live with my partner and 2 friends, who are all animal lovers, and with years of experience. We have looked after cats and dogs together previously, and developed wonderful connections with all of them. Our environment is very relaxed, your pets are welcome to snuggle up with us on the couch in the evenings. We love being playful with the animals, so if your pet enjoys games, we are more than happy to entertain! We would only take one pet at a time in our home (unless you've two to look after together).

100% recommend! Harvey loves staying with Doireann and her family! He was well looked after, cared for, played with, and treated like a family member. I know based on photos and how happy he was when we picked him up. I think he likes them better than us hahaaa! Such piece of mind to have found her!

I couldn’t recommend Isabella more highly!! Our dog Stevie was booked in for day care with Isabella and from the very first meeting she put us all at ease and you could see she knew exactly how to make Stevie feel at home and comfortable. We got so many amazing updates throughout the day, it’s so obvious Isabella is amazing at what she does. Stevie came home so happy and recked tired from all their adventures during the day ❤️ we will be booking Stevie in with Isabella again to mind Stevie because we know she’s in the best hands !!

Julio and Nathi took great care of our little dog Mimi when we were away. I honestly can't recommend them enough. Mimi really had a great time with them and settled in with them from the 1st day. Julio kindly sent us regular updates with photos and videos and I dont think Mimi could have found a better home while we were on vacation. Recommended 100%.

Katie and Josh were absolutely fabulous! They took such great care of my two Labradors, who adored them from the moment they met. Katie kept me updated with photos and messages, and I could tell my dogs were happy, relaxed, and having a wonderful time, and absolutely loved their big garden to play in. Highly recommend! We will absolutely be using Katie and Josh again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for Dog Boarding in Lusk on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per night (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up to date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in Dublin ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis (Adenovirus), and Leptospirosis.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Some boarding sitters stay with the dogs in their care for most of the day, while others may step out for work, errands or other commitments. Each sitter’s schedule and the amount of time your dog may be left alone will vary, so it is important to agree expectations before the stay begins.
Before booking, tell the sitter how long your dog can comfortably be left alone and confirm their typical schedule during the stay. Adding the maximum number of hours your dog can be left alone to their profile can also help sitters decide whether they are the right match.
Boarding does not automatically include round-the-clock supervision. If your dog needs someone present at all times, ask whether the sitter offers constant care or 24/7 care. This may require a separate arrangement and may not be included in the sitter’s standard boarding rate.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
