About: I’ve been surrounded by animals all my life and have always had a natural connection with them. I have many years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats, including caring for my own dog for 13 years. I’m also trained in dog grooming and have experience with senior pets and their individual needs. I’m caring, patient and reliable, and I’ll always treat your pet as one of my own. 🐾❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule outside of my working hours and enjoy spending my free time with animals. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting throughout the week, and I can also provide longer stays when owners are away. I always prioritise safety, comfort and trust. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality and individual needs, and I follow their usual feeding, walking and medication routines where required. I provide a calm, clean and secure environment and always make sure pets are supervised and cared for with patience and attention. Whether caring for them in my home or theirs, I want them to feel safe, comfortable and loved while their owners are away. 🐾

About: I have 9 years of experience pet sitting and making sure my furry clients go home happy and pleasantly tired. What sets me apart is my ability to manage high-energy dogs in a positive way—structuring walks, socializing them safely, and keeping them mentally stimulated with games. Nine years in this field have taught me how to be proactive and anticipate street distractions (like loud noises or other dogs) to guarantee a 100% safe outing. Your pet won't just be supervised; they will enjoy an active, fun routine tailored to their specific energy level. My schedule is completely flexible, so I am happy to accommodate whatever timing works best for you and your pet! I am always available to step in, keep them safe, and shower them with all the love, attention, and cuddles they deserve Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced, secure yard where pups can safely run and play. I also have two incredibly friendly dogs of my own who love making new friends and will keep your fur baby excellent company! If your dog prefers their own space or is used to a specific routine, I can easily crate them or set up a quiet, private area for meals and rest.

With Sandras experience with animals I felt confident leaving our nervous Russian Toy who has separation anxiety, and is very cautious with people she doesnt know. Sandra was kind, gentle, and communicative. Letting us know how Juno was getting on throughout the day. Juno was happy and relaxed when we picked her up. I was grateful Sandra could help us out at such short notice. Thank you Sandra!

About: I have grown up surrounded by animals from a very young age, and they have always been a very important part of my life. I have had pets throughout my life and have many years of experience caring for my own dog, understanding their needs, routines, personality and, most importantly, the love and attention they deserve. I am a caring, patient and responsible person, and I genuinely adore animals. I enjoy spending time with them, giving them plenty of affection and making sure they feel safe, happy and comfortable. I welcome small and medium-sized dogs and can offer them a calm, loving home environment, with plenty of green spaces and open areas nearby for walks and outdoor enjoyment. For me, caring for a dog is not simply a responsibility — it is a privilege and something I truly enjoy. 🐾❤️ I am flexible and available for dog care during the week and at weekends. I can adapt to your dog’s usual routine, including walks, feeding, playtime and rest, and I am happy to accommodate their individual needs.🐾🐾 I have experience administering medication and caring for dogs with special needs, including eye care. My little Durri was part of my family for almost 16 years. During his final year, he became completely blind and deaf, and I cared for him with love and dedication until his last days. He passed away six months ago and left a huge space in my heart. Caring for other animals now gives me the opportunity to share all the love and care I still have to give. Your dog will be treated with patience, kindness and genuine affection, in a safe and loving environment.❤️🐾

I was a bit worried about leaving my Border Collie Shep with Monica as he is young, nervous and very bossy. I need not have worried. The first pictures Monica sent me showed him to be content, and for the rest of the week the pictures and videos demonstrated Shep to be enjoying his holiday as much as I was enjoying mine. Thank you Monica and family for taking such good care of him.

About: I have particular experience caring for pets with special needs (anxiety and attachment issues, physical limitations, allergies, and specific dietary requirements, etc). My own dog lives with patellar luxation, so I understand firsthand how much it means to owners to know their sitter understands their furbaby’s needs. My home is surrounded by beautiful nature and many dog parks are present nearby. Every animal can move freely between the house and the fenced garden. Indoors, animals are free to relax on the couch, nap where they like. If your dog wants to play along, I offer plenty of opportunities for play, games for mental stimulation and I can provide enrichments. If your pet is crate trained, there’s plenty of space for their own crate or bed. Flexible drop off / Pick up Hours WhatsApp/sms updates with pictures and videos An ideal day dog sitting would involve walking along Dublin’s canal and paying a visit at the dog park in Dublin 1, behind Dublin’s Basin Park.

About: I have 2 beautiful Golden Retrievers who stole my heart on day 1, they are playful, boisterous and loving pups that have made me love animals. I have lots of experience with a variety of breeds and sizes due to volunteering with a local rescue. With cats, I have done my own fundraising to TNR feral colonies in the local area! I also have 2 beautiful furbabies that I rescued at 5 weeks old. I still work regularly with a colony of cats in Ardee that my partner and I have got neutered and have a soft spot for rescues 💕 I work part time as a social care worker, but I want to work more with animals. I think this would be the perfect way to spend the rest of my time! Due to having animals already and knowing introductions take a long time, my house will not be available for sitting. I am happy to go to your home and will care for your furbaby as you wish.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I have my own two dogs here so your dogs will always have company when they stay with me. I have always had a love for dogs and can provide the utmost care with daily walks and lots of play time. I have experience in dealing with reactive dogs also. I currently work part time and my mam is retired (we both live together) between us both there is always somebody at home so there will very rarely be a time where your pet is left alone. I have two dogs of my own. We are available Monday - Sunday, 7 days a week. Typically, we would arrange a drop off and pick up time to suit your needs. We live in the countryside in Louth with a large enclosed back garden. I have two dogs of my own so it would be a requirement that your pet is okay with other animals. The dogs will have access to the garden for as long as they like in the day. Our dogs are like family so are allowed access to the house as much as they please. If your dog is crate trained this won’t a problem, the crate will need to come with the dog.

About: Hi! I’m a dog-loving mom in my mid-30s living with my young family of four in a peaceful countryside setting. We’re lucky to have five acres of land, including two and a half acres that are fully fenced—perfect for safe, supervised play and exploring. We’re also just a short distance from the beach (less than 2km away), where I walk daily with our dog. Your dog will enjoy plenty of fresh air, exercise, and stimulation as part of our routine. We have a friendly, young Golden Retriever Rough Collie cross who is playful, gentle, and gets along really well with other dogs. Our home is very much a dog-loving environment, and any visiting dog will be treated like part of the family. I also have several years of experience volunteering with assistance dogs, where I trained three puppies who went on to support families. This has given me a strong understanding of dog behaviour, training, and care. Your dog will be in safe, caring, and experienced hands with us. Both myself and my husband, Ciaran, work from home so someone will always be around to care for your pet. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well looked after. Our home has a consistent and flexible routine, with plenty of company throughout the week. I work from home three days a week, and my husband works from home on the other two, so there is always someone around to supervise, care for, and spend time with the dogs. We’re very active day-to-day. I take our dog out for one to two walks daily, often including trips to the nearby beach, as well as time exploring our private land. At home, dogs have access to over two and a half acres of fully fenced garden and an attached field, giving them lots of safe space to run, play, and relax. Between walks, outdoor time, and being part of family life indoors, dogs staying with us enjoy a balanced routine of exercise, stimulation, and rest. Dogs staying with us are welcomed as one of our own, sharing our home and daily life. They can relax indoors with the family or enjoy plenty of time outside playing and exploring at their own pace.

Danii is an amazing dog sitter! I was nervous about leaving my dog with someone for 3.5 weeks, especially since shepherd dogs can be quite dramatic. But Danii exceeded all my expectations! She handled Woland’s singing during our meet and greet with such calmness, kept me updated daily, and took Woland on so many fun cow and sheep watching walks :D I couldn’t recommend her more. Both Woland and I are looking forward to having her care for him again.

Lilian was great minding Millie. When I met her it was clear that she is very experienced and knowledgeable with dogs and showed great affection for Millie and her own dog Pepsi. It was obvious Millie was going to be well looked after. Communications throughout the dogminding was perfect and I had peace of mind that I didn't need to worry about Millie in my absence. Anyone would be lucky to have Lilian mind their doggie.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Drogheda on Rover is €36.8 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 386 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Drogheda. Enter your Eircode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up to date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in Louth ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis (Adenovirus), and Leptospirosis.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Many boarding sitters in Drogheda can stay with their dogs most of the day, but it’s common for them to step out for short periods. Since every sitter’s schedule is unique, it’s important to agree on expectations before the stay begins. Adding the number of hours your dog can be alone to their profile will also help you find the right match.

If you are worried about your dog being alone, ask a sitter how they make a dog feel settled in a new environment. This can help your dog feel more comfortable.

If your dog cannot be left alone for more than a few hours, you may want to look for sitters who offer 24/7 care. Sitters who offer constant care are more likely to take on dogs who need frequent attention.

Every pet sitter, walker, and boarding sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cut-off time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will apply. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
