Carson had a great time Alexandre. It was the longest I have left him with anyone so I was a tad apprehensive but all was good. Plenty of updates and pics from Alexandre.

Our Freddie had a brilliant 2 night stay with Kleyton at short notice as well, which was great for us. We were kept up to date with videos and photos and would happily have Freddie looked after by Kleyton again.

Anastasiia was great with Coby! It was a last minute over night stay and she was so quick to respond and accommodate me. It was great to get updates and pictures and I know Coby was sad to leave 🥲 will definitely love to have Anastasiia look after Coby again and highly recommend. Thanks again Anastasiia 😀

We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter than Danielle. She brought Milo for walks everyday, kept him company and provided us with several updates throughout the day. With Danielle's large back garden, Milo had a blast bouncing around the place, and I think he was even a little sad when we arrived to collect him 😂 Danielle is a professional, while being very easy going, understanding and thoughtful. If you are looking for a dog minder, look no further, as Danielle is as good as it gets 😁

About: Hi there! I’m a certified veterinarian from Mexico who recently moved to Ireland in June 2026. Back home, my life always revolved around animals—from dogs and cats to rabbits and fish. Right now, my beloved cat is staying with my parents, and because I miss her and the daily joy that pets bring into a home, I decided to join Pawshake. For me, this is not just a job; it is a way to fill my heart while providing the absolute best care for your best friend. 🩺 Professional Veterinary Background I have always been deeply committed to animal welfare, which led me to study Veterinary Medicine. I graduated in 2020, and since then, I have worked continuously in veterinary hospitals and clinics. What this means for your pet: I have extensive experience in animal health, monitoring behavior, and recognizing subtle signs of stress or discomfort. Specialized Care: If your pet is a senior, has chronic medical conditions, or requires specific medication (oral, injections, etc.), they will be in the safest hands possible. I am fully trained to handle medical needs with the utmost gentleness and precision. 🕊️ My Lifelong Bond with Dogs Throughout my life, I have given my heart to four beautiful dogs, most of whom were rescued from the streets. They taught me everything I know about unconditional love, patience, and senior pet care: Pirata: A beautiful French Poodle mix who was gifted to me by my grandfather when I was just 3 years old; he lived a long, happy life until the age of 18. Buba: A sweet Labrador who was with us until she was 12. Dokho: A brave companion who lived to be 15, whom I lovingly cared for through his heart and liver failure. Pam: A Labrador who completely changed my life and passed away two years ago at age 12 due to chronic kidney disease. Losing Pam was heartbreaking, and because I knew I wanted to travel and explore the world, I chose not to get another dog of my own until I fully settle down. Caring for your pet will truly bring that missing joy back into my life. 🏡 What I Offer I will treat your pet exactly as if they were my own—with unconditional love, respect, and deep professional attention. Whether it is a high-energy walk, keeping up with their strict feeding schedules, or simply providing a calm, affectionate presence so they don't feel lonely, I am here for them. Since I am highly organized and communicative, you can expect regular updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your furry family member is being looked after by a professional who genuinely cares. I can't wait to meet your pet and give them a home away from home! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or special requirements. 🐕✨ My weekly routine is highly structured and predictable, making it easy to provide consistent, quality care. I study in the mornings, which keeps my schedule very stable. Once my classes are over, I organize my time so that I have my afternoons completely free to be at home, relaxing and keeping the pets company. Since I love exercising and going for daily walks, I absolutely enjoy incorporating dog walks into my active routine—it's the perfect match! This way, I can ensure the dogs get plenty of outdoor exercise and fun, while still enjoying a calm, attentive, and cozy environment once we are back home. In my home: I live in a cozy, smaller apartment, so I make sure to compensate for the space by keeping the dogs active outdoors. If your pet stays with me, I will adjust my schedule to take them out for more frequent walks and exercise. This way, they can burn off their energy outside and enjoy a calm, relaxed, and comfortable environment once we are back home. In the owner's home: If you prefer me to care for your pet in their own home, my absolute priority is to respect and maintain their exact daily routine. I know how important stability is for pets, so I will strictly follow their usual feeding, walking, and playtime schedules. This ensures they feel completely comfortable, safe, and happy in their familiar environment, making your time away as stress-free as possible for them.

About: Hi! I’m a dog-loving mom in my mid-30s living with my young family of four in a peaceful countryside setting. We’re lucky to have five acres of land, including two and a half acres that are fully fenced—perfect for safe, supervised play and exploring. We’re also just a short distance from the beach (less than 2km away), where I walk daily with our dog. Your dog will enjoy plenty of fresh air, exercise, and stimulation as part of our routine. We have a friendly, young Golden Retriever Rough Collie cross who is playful, gentle, and gets along really well with other dogs. Our home is very much a dog-loving environment, and any visiting dog will be treated like part of the family. I also have several years of experience volunteering with assistance dogs, where I trained three puppies who went on to support families. This has given me a strong understanding of dog behaviour, training, and care. Your dog will be in safe, caring, and experienced hands with us. Both myself and my husband, Ciaran, work from home so someone will always be around to care for your pet. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well looked after. Our home has a consistent and flexible routine, with plenty of company throughout the week. I work from home three days a week, and my husband works from home on the other two, so there is always someone around to supervise, care for, and spend time with the dogs. We’re very active day-to-day. I take our dog out for one to two walks daily, often including trips to the nearby beach, as well as time exploring our private land. At home, dogs have access to over two and a half acres of fully fenced garden and an attached field, giving them lots of safe space to run, play, and relax. Between walks, outdoor time, and being part of family life indoors, dogs staying with us enjoy a balanced routine of exercise, stimulation, and rest. Dogs staying with us are welcomed as one of our own, sharing our home and daily life. They can relax indoors with the family or enjoy plenty of time outside playing and exploring at their own pace.

About: I have 2 beautiful Golden Retrievers who stole my heart on day 1, they are playful, boisterous and loving pups that have made me love animals. I have lots of experience with a variety of breeds and sizes due to volunteering with a local rescue. With cats, I have done my own fundraising to TNR feral colonies in the local area! I also have 2 beautiful furbabies that I rescued at 5 weeks old. I still work regularly with a colony of cats in Ardee that my partner and I have got neutered and have a soft spot for rescues 💕 I work part time as a social care worker, but I want to work more with animals. I think this would be the perfect way to spend the rest of my time! Due to having animals already and knowing introductions take a long time, my house will not be available for sitting. I am happy to go to your home and will care for your furbaby as you wish.

Luna stayed with Niamh for 3 days and 2 nights which is longest she has been away from us so far but she had a great time. Niamh treats her like her own and it shows from the photos and videos that she updates you with while she’s in her care. It’s definitely a home from home with lots of walks, play and cuddles. Our next holiday is already booked in and I’d highly recommend Niamh to anyone looking for a minder

Just back from leaving our dog with Linda and I can not recommend her enough. Coco was so well looked after. Linda let us know how coco was doing with texts and videos. We could see how happy coco was. Without a doubt we will be asking Linda again to mind her. We were put at ease the minute we met Linda. We can not thank her enough.

About: I have 9 years of experience pet sitting and making sure my furry clients go home happy and pleasantly tired. What sets me apart is my ability to manage high-energy dogs in a positive way—structuring walks, socializing them safely, and keeping them mentally stimulated with games. Nine years in this field have taught me how to be proactive and anticipate street distractions (like loud noises or other dogs) to guarantee a 100% safe outing. Your pet won't just be supervised; they will enjoy an active, fun routine tailored to their specific energy level. My schedule is completely flexible, so I am happy to accommodate whatever timing works best for you and your pet! I am always available to step in, keep them safe, and shower them with all the love, attention, and cuddles they deserve Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced, secure yard where pups can safely run and play. I also have two incredibly friendly dogs of my own who love making new friends and will keep your fur baby excellent company! If your dog prefers their own space or is used to a specific routine, I can easily crate them or set up a quiet, private area for meals and rest.

With Sandras experience with animals I felt confident leaving our nervous Russian Toy who has separation anxiety, and is very cautious with people she doesnt know. Sandra was kind, gentle, and communicative. Letting us know how Juno was getting on throughout the day. Juno was happy and relaxed when we picked her up. I was grateful Sandra could help us out at such short notice. Thank you Sandra!

Kleyton was absolutely fantastic with our two dogs, Cú and Ériu. He took such great care of them, and it was clear they were happy, comfortable, and well looked after. When we picked them up, they looked like they’d had the best time at Kleyton’s house! It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kleyton to anyone looking for a reliable and kind pet sitter. Thank you again and see you soon! 🐕🐾

FAQs for Boarding - Drogheda

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Drogheda on Rover is €36.8 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 386 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Drogheda. Enter your Eircode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up to date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in Louth ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis (Adenovirus), and Leptospirosis.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Many boarding sitters in Drogheda can stay with their dogs most of the day, but it’s common for them to step out for short periods. Since every sitter’s schedule is unique, it’s important to agree on expectations before the stay begins. Adding the number of hours your dog can be alone to their profile will also help you find the right match.

If you are worried about your dog being alone, ask a sitter how they make a dog feel settled in a new environment. This can help your dog feel more comfortable.

If your dog cannot be left alone for more than a few hours, you may want to look for sitters who offer 24/7 care. Sitters who offer constant care are more likely to take on dogs who need frequent attention.

Every pet sitter, walker, and boarding sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cut-off time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will apply. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
