About: I’ve been an animal keeper for the last 3-4 years working with various exotic wildlife and am currently the Vet Tech/Keeper for (mostly) lemurs. I have great experience and knowledge working with animals (including domestic pets). I volunteered at my local animal shelter working with dogs and cats for many years, doing routine tasks such as feeding, cleaning, bathing, and walking. Apart from basic necessities like feeding and cleaning, I also have great experience preparing and administering medications and am confident in my abilities to handle exceptional dogs and cats that may need more complex care. Outside of my work experience, I have my own personal experience caring for my family pets, including dogs, cats, many rodents, and now chickens. Since high school I have frequently pet sat for friends and acquaintances with a wide range of pets including dogs, cats, lizards, fish, and horses. I am available in the mornings most weekdays, with lesser availability on the weekends. My availability can be flexible upon notice. On weekends right now, I am available only in the late afternoon and evenings. Am only looking to care for pets at the client’s house due to my own housing and pet situation. I’ve cared for pets in this context before and first and foremost, I respect people’s property and homes and can be trusted to be professional and clean. I am flexible to work accordingly with the client’s preferences in regard to how they their pets need to be cared for.

About: When I was 3, I picked out our family dog and that was the beginning of my lifelong love of all animals. I’ve cared for itty bitty critters all the way up to my big, intimidating (but secretly a big teddy bear) Rottweiler. Caring for dogs gives me a sense of purpose, and since I recently lost my Buddy, I would be honored to care for your baby as if they were my own. I live a quiet life on my own, and have a fenced in yard where they can run around or sniff to their heart’s content. I’m also happy to take them on walks and car adventures as they wish! I do work in an office M-F and am gone for about 7 hours during those days, but would be around all weekend as needed. I have a fenced in yard and am happy to abide by any requirements you may have as far as crating, furniture rules, diet, etc.

I have provided pet sitting services for family and friends, including caring for animals with disabilities and those requiring medication. I am currently a veterinary technician student and work as a veterinary receptionist, giving me hands-on experience in animal handling and care. I work full-time at a veterinary clinic in Chapel Hill, so I have hands-on experience caring for pets and keeping them happy and healthy. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting on weekends starting Friday at 6 PM. For clients in the Chapel Hill area, I may also be available for weekday drop-ins depending on my work schedule. During boarding or drop-in visits, I focus on keeping your pet comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine as much as possible. For drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet is fed, has fresh water, gets bathroom breaks, and plenty of attention and playtime. I’m also happy to administer medications if needed and will always keep you updated with photos and notes after each visit. For in-home pet sitting or boarding, I create a calm, structured environment with regular feeding times, exercise, and lots of affection. I pay close attention to behavior and health, and with my veterinary clinic experience, I’m comfortable recognizing any changes that may need attention. I’ll follow all your care instructions closely—whether that’s special diets, medications, crate routines, or favorite activities—so your pet feels as relaxed and cared for as possible while you’re away.
