“Very nice and very sweet! My dogs are pretty anxious but they were more than fine with her! Heard they got a lot of cuddles and play time which shows with how tired they are at home! Appreciate how much my dogs were loved !”

“Millie and her family are amazing, the daily pictures, updates and touch bases with how our dog was doing while we were away really made us feel like we were there with him the entire time. When our pet had an upset stomach Millie went above and beyond to give him chicken, rice and pumpkin puree to help calm his stomach.”

“Sara was amazing! I had another Rover in place for my trip over the holidays that fell through at the last minute. Sara answered my call for help immediately! (Not kidding — like within 5 minutes) I took Simon to the Vet a few days before I left to find he had an ear infection. Sara had no problem with needing to give him meds. She was a lifesaver. She’s bright and understanding and flexible, and she made sure Simon would get along with the other puppers in the house, introducing them slowly. She took great care of Simon and sent me updates and pictures. Thank you, Sara!!”

“Wai was amazing! She took a lot of care to ask lots of questions to best accommodate our dog, sent us daily updates and photos, and far exceeded what was expected! I will be using her from now on”

“Anne did an exceptional job looking after Reggie while we took a trip. It was the first time we had left him to go out of town and we were nervous about leaving him, but he did great at Anne's house. I highly recommend her and we will be sure to ask her to watch him again.”

About: I have been a dog parent for 5+ years and truly believe they are part of our family. My husband and I have been trusted to care for many friends and family’s dogs and love when our own dog has others to interact/connect with! ❤️ I am at home most of the time taking care of my own dog and keeping her company while my husband is at work. When I do leave the house, I normally time it so my dog is alone no longer than 4 hours at a time. When we care for pets in our home, we like to make sure they go outside at least every 2-4 hours for potty breaks and play time, follow their food and medication schedule, and make sure they all get the love and attention they need!
“The experience with Jennifer was amazing. Our dog clearly had fun and was comfortable from the start. We are so glad to have found Jennifer. Is she is exactly the type of person one would want to take care of their fur baby”

“Stephanie was beyond phenomenal, it was my second time using her services and you couldn’t ask for anyone more caring and thoughtful, I traveled overseas and always gave me options for updates incase I didn’t have service. She also got my baby a birthday treat and made sure to love my babies like her own. From the bottom of my heart thank you for keeping them safe, loved, and happy”

“Geleea was amazing with my cat and helped her feel right at home. She provided me with pictures and videos ensuring her safety and also took her in pretty last minute! thank you so so much!”

“First time using rover! Definitely was happy! My pup had an amazing vacation! He was well taken care of! Emily made me feel at ease with all the pics of our pup having the time of his life! 10/10 would recommend!”

“Lauren and her family were great with Walter. She has a clean place, which puts comfort in my head. The other dogs and fenced in yard to make sure he had a place to get rid of his endless energy was a big deal. She had nothing but good things to say and was very easy to stay in contact with by sending pics and updates. We appreciate her business. ?”

“Another job well done by Alexis! Wrigley loves to come see her! She even went above and beyond and got our dog her own little toy while we were gone for a week. They take Wrigley on walks and send daily updates. We love that she is loved on and played with while we’re away. Thank you! Highly recommend her!”

“Carli was very professional and happily accepted my request to board Winston even while watching several other pups. Was very communicative and provided updated during Winston’s stay!”
“I had a great experience with this dog sitter. He was very kind and accommodating, especially since my booking was very last minute. He still made the time to come get and take care of my dog, which I really appreciated. He also sent me pictures while she was with him, which reassured me that she was safe and doing well. This was my first time being away from my dog, so I was a little nervous, but he made the experience much easier and more comfortable for me. It was such a relief to know she was safe and even having fun. Overall, the service was excellent and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pet.”

“Cassandra did a great job taking care of Banjo for two nights. Communication was excellent (photos and videos, along with messages about how he was doing), and Cassandra was willing to accommodate drop-off and pickup requests to fit my schedule for the weekend. I have always been apprehensive about boarding my dogs at a kennel if I have to go out of town for more than one night. Cassandra made Banjo feel at home and kept him in a normal, relaxed environment and routine.”

The median cost per night for pet boarding in Huntertown is $38
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Huntertown
We were so lucky to have connected with such a great family at the last minute when our original sitter fell through. They helped him get warmed up with a meet and greet and then our 3 month old pup was excited to go back the next day to stay. He found his home away from for a week and was sad leaving his new friends. Diana and her family took great care of our boy while we were on vacation, helped house train him, and taught him a few commands. It was nice having peace of mind that he was in good hands and getting updates and pictures while we were missing our fur baby. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
