“Wai was amazing! She took a lot of care to ask lots of questions to best accommodate our dog, sent us daily updates and photos, and far exceeded what was expected! I will be using her from now on”

“Hannah and Haley did a great job with my baby! A perfect fit for Jamie's separation anxiety, since he was never home alone, and he came home a very tired baby after playing with Hannah's dogs all weekend. He didn't seem to want to leave!”

“It was nice working with Heather, she was able to fit Theo in last minute and he had a good time! She had great communication and I appreciate that we got to do a meet and greet ahead of his stay!”

“Nan and her husband did a wonderful job watching our senior dog overnight. This is the first time I've left her with strangers and I was very anxious. Nan sent picture updates every couple of hours so I could relax and enjoy my trip.”

“Alexis is a five star host without a doubt, and quite possibly a professional photographer in the making 😃. We received regular update (complete with pictures) of our dog on a regular basis. She was very accommodating and made our first experience with Rover an easy one. I would definitely recommend her, if you need someone to watch your pet!”

“We had a fantastic experience boarding our dogs with Jennifer. She was incredibly caring of our pets and took them into her home like her own. She kept us up to date with photos and messages, and we could tell our pets were having a ton of fun. Above all, we had absolute peace of mind while being out of town and would love if Jennifer could help us again the future. Thank you!”

“Tiffney was vey responsive and reassuring. She met with me before the stay to make sure Bella and I were comfortable. This was the first time leaving Bella with anyone so it was important to me to make sure she would be well taken care of. Tiffney did everything she could to make sure Bella was comfortable and safe. It was nice that she had other dogs to socialize with, and her children were kind and playful with her too.”
“We had a last minute cancelation and Jocelyn was very accommodating. Our dogs got along fine with her two pups. I would recommend her and will use her again.”

About: What sets me apart is that I’ve grown up surrounded by animals my whole life—dogs, cats, fish, and even the occasional bunny. Because of this, I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and needs. I have experience walking energetic dogs, caring for playful puppies, and making sure senior pets feel safe and comfortable. My background helps me tune in to each pet’s unique routine and give them the same love and attention they’d get from you. I am currently unemployed so I have so much free time to look after & take care of your fur baby! I am looking for side hustles to keep me busy. As of right now, I only have my one cat in my house. If there is a dog in the house he does not pay them any mind really, but I have multiple rooms to keep them separated & I can use a crate/cage as need be. I would give each animal play-time and attention from me regardless. If, I was to watch the animal in my clients home, I would adhere to whatever rules or routines my client has in place.
“We were so lucky to have connected with such a great family at the last minute when our original sitter fell through. They helped him get warmed up with a meet and greet and then our 3 month old pup was excited to go back the next day to stay. He found his home away from for a week and was sad leaving his new friends. Diana and her family took great care of our boy while we were on vacation, helped house train him, and taught him a few commands. It was nice having peace of mind that he was in good hands and getting updates and pictures while we were missing our fur baby. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!”

“Cassandra did a great job taking care of Banjo for two nights. Communication was excellent (photos and videos, along with messages about how he was doing), and Cassandra was willing to accommodate drop-off and pickup requests to fit my schedule for the weekend. I have always been apprehensive about boarding my dogs at a kennel if I have to go out of town for more than one night. Cassandra made Banjo feel at home and kept him in a normal, relaxed environment and routine.”

About: I've taken care of pets almost my entire life, the majority that I have taken care of are cats and dogs. I always make sure they get what they need such as food, water, exercise, play time, and attention. I always make sure that I take care of and treat them the way I treat my own. I am currently gaining a bachelor's degree in animal health and behavior. So I do know what to expect when it comes to a different variety of animals and their behaviors. Your pets are in safe hands. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine, and I plan my schedule around each booking. I make sure pets receive consistent care, attention, and time, and I always follow their established routine to keep them comfortable. When caring for a pet in a client’s home, I prioritize respecting their space and belongings. I only use items related to pet care and follow all household guidelines provided by the client. I always clean up after both myself and the pet, and I take pride in maintaining a clean, organized environment. Clients can feel confident knowing their home will be well cared for and left in excellent condition.

All dogs are welcome small, big, young, old, friendly, and we are also capable of caring for aggressive dogs. As a family business, my wife Valerie is home during the day to care for clients and I’m home in the evening and weekends to assist. Client needs are met with compassion and knowledge. About: I have been a dog parent for 5+ years and truly believe they are part of our family. My husband and I have been trusted to care for many friends and family’s dogs and love when our own dog has others to interact/connect with! ❤️ I am at home most of the time taking care of my own dog and keeping her company while my husband is at work. When I do leave the house, I normally time it so my dog is alone no longer than 4 hours at a time. When we care for pets in our home, we like to make sure they go outside at least every 2-4 hours for potty breaks and play time, follow their food and medication schedule, and make sure they all get the love and attention they need!
“Very nice and very sweet! My dogs are pretty anxious but they were more than fine with her! Heard they got a lot of cuddles and play time which shows with how tired they are at home! Appreciate how much my dogs were loved !”

“Jami was a great sitter for our dog, Gizmo! He enjoyed being outside in the fenced yard and all the extra attention. My family enjoyed a week long vacation knowing he was is good hands. Jami was very accommodating and flexible with drop off/pick up times. We will definitely will be rebooking for future vacations.”

“Our dog Lexi had a great week with Rachel and her family. Lexi adapted very well and was very comfortable. Rachel provided updates and pictures. Very impressed with our first time and will definitely be returning. Would recommend to friends and family!”

“We were nervous about leaving Royal for a whole week, but I think he felt right at home in Millie’s house—with a loving family, a couch to relax on, and lots of green space nearby for walks. She updated us regularly, and he came back to us happy and healthy. We would definitely book with her again!”

Melissa took our two pups on super short notice and they had the best time. She sent many updates with pictures which weren’t necessary but absolutely appreciated for anxiety ridden moms like me. Will definitely be using her again for future trips and am thankful for how well she took care of our dogs.

Kimeryn was so wonderful with my Pyrenees, Willow. She provided updates daily to let us know how Willow was doing. She made Willow feel like a part of her family immediately. Willow got a bath while she was there and she looks incredible! I would book her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
