“Danielle is truly a cat whisperer. Somehow, she coaxed my shy kitten out to play on her very first visit! She spent so much time and attention with her, and the wonderful photos she sent gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It's such a relief to have a trusted partner helping care for my energetic little kitten. I am deeply grateful to have found someone so responsible, dedicated, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I couldn't recommend Danielle more highly.”

“Gina is amazing! She gets to know your fur babies giving you comfort as well as peace and spends quality time with them each and every visit. Gina’s communications are timely and wonderful including sending awesome pictures of each of your dogs.”

About: Throughout high school, I would take care of my neighbors dogs, my brothers family dogs, and many dogs owned by friends of the family. This would include walks, feeding, baths if needed, etc. I now have my own 6 month old puppy and a 15 year old senior cat who I have been working with! It fits into my pet care routine because I have had my own pets throughout the last few years. So, I have been able to start figuring out a routine both daily and weekly I always walk them daily, make sure they are well fed, and always give them lots of love and attention throughout the day when I see them.
“Had a family emergency and had make a quick trip and was so glad Taylor had the availability to come with a less than 24 hr notice. They did everything I asked for and more like water my plants and cleaned any messes Asher made.”

“Elizabeth was tremendous! Super quick to respond, detailed with her visit reports, and overall a very kind person - really helped us stay at ease while we were away. And our kitties were in great spirits when we got home! Thanks again Elizabeth!”

“Let me tell you how amazing Janie is!!! Oh my goodness she literally saved my butt more than once this week when she agreed to do last minute drop in on my pup when I had a last minute work meeting. My pup loves her so much and is always so happy when she comes over and her updates always make my day!!”

“Raegan is a lovely person and kept me very well informed with my pup. My puppy was incontinent out of anxiety for me leaving, and Raegan let me know what went on, cleaned up all accidents on the floor, and was professional and polite. I am using her again for my next upcoming trip this summer. She came to my home to let my dog out, and on return, everything was clean and smelled great. Thank you Raegen for cleaning up after my pup and giving her lots of attention and walks. It's nice to hve a trustworthy and loving pet sitter. YOU ARE AWESOME!”

“Paige was so wonderful. She took time with my fur babies, came to meet me, answered my questions quickly and definitely made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend Paige and her services. She really cares, and made it obvious.”

“This is our first time trying Rover, after being very disappointed by multiple dog kennel services. My dog is not animal friendly, but otherwise very social with people and has anxiety when away from home for too long. The choice was very easy when Gabrielle came up on the search options. She is a fantastic caretaker, follows instructions to a T, and Cherry and her bonded quickly. We can’t wait to start traveling more now that we have a trusted guardian for Cherry.”

“Joesiiah was an incredibly kind and wonderful pet sitter for our cats, including my old man senior cat. He was incredibly patient with their needs, and took great care of them. I loved getting the daily photos and check-ins. We came home to happy cats and a clean litter box. Would highly recommend!”

“Katie took such wonderful care of my cat! She sent daily pictures and detailed updates, and went above and beyond by helping keep my apartment clean and being flexible when my trip was extended. I felt totally at ease knowing my kitty was in such great hands! Highly recommend!!”

“Brooke and Steven were so so great!! Victoria (my pup) was brought home just a few days prior and was feeling a bit anxious. They did everything in their power to make her feel comfortable and at ease and were more than accommodating with my requests. They sent pictures and updates, giving me peace of mind and were genuine life savers! So grateful for them and their services and will definitely be contacting them for any future needs!”

About: I've cared for animals my entire life and have experience looking after a wide variety of pets. I regularly pet sit for my brother's cats and dogs throughout the year, and I've also cared for my aunt's animals, including her pony and tortoise. I love all animals! Currently school is my only priority! With only one year left my schedule is lighter and classes are more flexible. I have classes throughout the week and can adapt to a pet routine or schedule. I like to stay active, so dog walking is a great way to get my steps in! I have no pets currently! I live in an apartment with a great dog park (fenced in) and have many nature trails behind my apartment I often frequent!
“No doubt about it, I’d pick Kaitlyn to catsit again in a heartbeat. I am so beyond thankful for all of Kaitlyn’s patience, kindness, warmth, and compassion. She bonded with both our cats right off the bat. Our shy male cat warmed up to her very quickly. The anxious girl kitty took a bit longer to come around, but Kaitlyn made sure to go at the pace of the kitty in question. She was able to medicate our male cat, and made sure they both felt loved and cared for while we were away for an extended period of time. She communicated as soon as anything came up, and was very flexible! It was such a relief knowing our cats were in such thoughtful & capable hands for the holidays. My girlfriend and I could not recommend her more highly! 🩵”

Angelina is punctual, reliable, and flexible! I appreciated her giving my cat his medications on time, and was so thankful that she was able to add an extra, last-minute visit when my flight home was cancelled. Even when my apartment’s gate gave her problems, she stuck around and made it to her drop-in visit. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hunter. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
