“Josesiiah was so kind, attentive and caring for our dog. He was prompt and went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and ensure our pup was well cared for! We will be booking with him again”

About: Hello there, pet guardians! I'm here to provide your beloved fur babies with the love and care they deserve. My journey as a pet lover began on a farm, where I cherished the company of both cats and dogs. Later on, I had the privilege of raising my very own dynamic duo, "Tom and Jerry." Our time together was filled with joy, and it taught me the significance of entrusting our four-legged children to a loving caregiver. With a calm and grounded personality, I relish every moment spent on walks and cuddles as much as your furry companions do. Working from the comfort of my home, I'm delighted to have the company of a canine friend by my side. I can effortlessly adjust my schedule to accommodate as many breaks as needed for delightful walks in the quiet neighborhood and playtime in the back yard. Your fur babies will receive my undivided attention as there are no other pets in my home at this time. They can roam freely throughout the house or, if preferred, I can provide a cozy crate for their comfort. Your pets' safety and well-being is my top priority, and I can't wait to create a tail-wagging, purring, love-filled experience for them. I am working from home and love the company of a four-legged friend. Luckily, I am free to schedule as many breaks as are needed for walks and play time. Your fur babies get my full attention as there are no other pets in my home right now. They can have access to the whole house, or I can easily crate them if needed.
“Lily was great with my 3 cats! This was my first time getting a cat sitter for them so I was really nervous, but she sent updates every day and I never had to worry about my cats while I was away. Definitely recommend and would love to have her take care of my cats again the next time I’m away. 🙂”

“Janie was AMAZING! She saved the day when our original sitter had an emergency. She was incredibly communicative and sent pictures of each drop in along with a note explaining our pup’s demeanor and what happened. I would strongly recommend using Janie and will definitely keep her on our list for future trips!”

“This is our first time trying Rover, after being very disappointed by multiple dog kennel services. My dog is not animal friendly, but otherwise very social with people and has anxiety when away from home for too long. The choice was very easy when Gabrielle came up on the search options. She is a fantastic caretaker, follows instructions to a T, and Cherry and her bonded quickly. We can’t wait to start traveling more now that we have a trusted guardian for Cherry.”

“I couldn't be happier with Brooke & Steven! They kept me fully updated the entire time with check-ins and awesome photos (including shots of my shy kitties!). On top of keeping up with feeding, watering, and litter box duties, they gracefully worked through a home alarm glitch and even took out my trash bins. Extremely reliable and attentive to details. I will definitely be booking them again!”

About: Hi! My name is Olivia! I work from home and I have my own 2 dogs, was raised with others, and have lived with cats in the past. I love taking care of all animals, even the not-so-fun parts. Both my dogs have their own special needs, so I understand that many dogs have different necessities and I’m happy to accommodate to them. I also absolutely love cats! I will work tirelessly to make sure you and your pet are satisfied! I absolutely love all animals and will do whatever it takes to keep their tail wagging and owner happy :) I work from home, so I have plenty of time to take pets on walks, clean up after them, play with them, or do house visits! I have a small fenced yard at my apartment. I also have experience with dogs with special needs, as I have two of my own. The most important parts of pet care are food, water, love, playtime, and medical needs if necessary, and I practice these on a daily basis with my own dogs.
“Madeline has taken care of my kitties a couple times now. My cats look forward to seeing her and she always goes the extra mile to tidy up, take pictures, and play with them! I never have to worry when they’re with her!”

“Katie was great. She sent detailed updates and photos everyday. She worked really hard to make sure our cat felt taken care of and by the end our shy cat had fully warmed up to her. Thank you Katie!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hunter
Angelina is punctual, reliable, and flexible! I appreciated her giving my cat his medications on time, and was so thankful that she was able to add an extra, last-minute visit when my flight home was cancelled. Even when my apartment’s gate gave her problems, she stuck around and made it to her drop-in visit. Thank you!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hunter. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
