“Amazing with the dogs, one of which is a rescue that is super shy with people. Accommodated last minute requests, great communication. Will definitely have her sit for us again.”

“Camille was wonderful! She was very reliable, communicated well, and went above and beyond for my animals. She always made sure to let me know my cat’s meds were given successfully and even cleaned up around the litter boxes. I will definitely be requesting her for future needs.”

About: Throughout high school, I would take care of my neighbors dogs, my brothers family dogs, and many dogs owned by friends of the family. This would include walks, feeding, baths if needed, etc. I now have my own 6 month old puppy and a 15 year old senior cat who I have been working with! It fits into my pet care routine because I have had my own pets throughout the last few years. So, I have been able to start figuring out a routine both daily and weekly I always walk them daily, make sure they are well fed, and always give them lots of love and attention throughout the day when I see them.

About: I’ve had cats and dogs for most of my life and caring for animals is something I truly love. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routines, and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I have experience caring for senior pets and those with special needs, including administering medications, supporting mobility challenges, and providing a calm, patient environment. I know how important consistency and gentle care are, especially for pets who need a little extra attention. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or quiet companionship, I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure they’re happy, healthy, and loved every step of the way. I currently have cats of my own but they are used to other pets in the home, including dogs. Additionally, I offer complimentary meet and greets prior to petting your pet, to see if it’s a good fit. I work from home and my schedule is flexible, so I’m able to interact with and love on your fur baby all day. I can also pick up and drop off your little one if need be. I do have a few cats of my own, so if you have a kitty needing care, it may be best for me to care for them in their own environment. My cats are used to other pets though, including dogs, so they are more than welcome in my home. I also have a fenced-in yard with a lot of room for your dog to run around and live in a neighborhood conducive to walks.

“Stephanie is the best! She was so wonderful with my 13 year old orange tabby Sam. She checked in every day with updates and photos and is super easy to communicate with. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

“Joesiiah was an incredibly kind and wonderful pet sitter for our cats, including my old man senior cat. He was incredibly patient with their needs, and took great care of them. I loved getting the daily photos and check-ins. We came home to happy cats and a clean litter box. Would highly recommend!”

“Jenisa was wonderful! She was available on short notice, which we truly appreciated. She arrived on time, communicated well, and even sent us pictures during her visit. We were very pleased with how she cared for our three cats and would absolutely recommend her!”

About: I have a Shih Tzu named Coco, and I’ve always loved animals of all sizes. Growing up around pets has taught me how to be patient, attentive, and caring. I also babysit often, which has strengthened my sense of responsibility and reliability. I enjoy keeping pets active, safe, and happy while making sure they feel comfortable and loved in my care. I love doing things that get me out of my normal routine and taking care of animals is something I have always loved doing! Can’t wait to meet you! I always make sure to give everyone their space when needed and cuddles when needed as well! It’s important to know when to do what :)

About: Hi! My name is Risa! I had a Labrador growing up, she was sweet and rambunctious. During Covid, I fostered a malnourished dog until he went to his forever home! Currently, I’m dog walking full time! I’ve fostered dogs before, but don’t have any pets currently. I’m available for pet sitting and dog walking every day! I love hiking and walking, so can happily take dogs for long walks. I want to have a great time hanging out with your furry friends
About: I was raised on a farm, giving me lifelong experience caring for animals of all kinds. I also foster and adopt pets, and I treat every animal like family. I provide dependable, loving care and understand that every pet deserves patience, attention, and plenty of affection while you’re away. I work remotely weekdays until 2:00 PM, so I’m available most afternoons and evenings for pet care. During the school year, I’m also available for morning visits after 8:00 AM. I have two young children who often accompany me on errands, so I’m best suited for friendly, child-comfortable pets. I’m flexible, reliable, and happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure fenced yard, pet-friendly dogs, cats, and children, and I’m responsible, reliable, respectful of your home, privacy, and your pet’s unique needs.
About: I take the time to understand their unique personalities, routines, and any specific needs they may have. Additionally, my commitment to communication (and picture-taking skills!) ensures that pet owners receive regular updates and peace of mind while they’re away. I work remotely, so I am able to prioritize flexible hours to accommodate pet needs, ensuring I can provide consistent care and attention. Each day includes time for walks, play, and feeding, while also allowing for regular updates to pet owners. In my home, I create a safe and comfortable environment tailored to the pet's needs, with designated areas for sleeping, eating, and play. For clients' homes, I maintain their routines, following specific feeding and exercise schedules while ensuring the space is clean and secure. I prioritize regular check-ins, exercise, and plenty of affection to keep pets happy and engaged.
“Rebekah was absolutely amazing! Her communication was fantastic, she really took care of my babies like they were her own! I recommend booking her, you won’t be disappointed! I will be booking her in the future!”

About: I'm a dog-lover that has been in childcare for years and have subsequently helped neighbors and clients with their animal needs. We always had dogs growing up, so I'd say that's my most comfortable area, however I am open to any kind of animal. I had a couple leopard geckos in high school and I love reptiles in general. My fiancé and I are bringing home a mini dachsund puppy, so I would also love to socialize her with some other friends. Pretty soon my schedule is going to open up to just about anything. I'm soon-to-be in between jobs, so it would be nice to get some clients ready for when I leave my current position as a nanny. I prefer no Sundays, but I am open to overnight stays. In high school I owned two leopard geckos, a beta fish, and two dogs, and soon I will be a puppy mom. I am no stranger to catering to specific needs. I am happy to communicate with you and figure out small details that you require for your pet care!

“This is the second time I’ve asked Sydney to keep my cats company and she did not disappoint! I could tell they were happy and receiving a ton of attention with all the pictures she would send. Absolute best for peace of mind!”

About: Animals have been at the center of my world for as long as I can remember; I grew up in a family that owned cats since before I was born, and I’ve been learning how to care for them since early childhood—even hand-rearing a newborn kitten when I was just 12. Today, I care for my own two cats, look after four more for senior family members, and have regularly dog-sat a friend's Corgi for nearly two years. I'm currently working a flexible schedule. So I have plenty of opportunity to help out with your pets and whichever needs they may have. I have a great dog park at my apartment. I have all of the necessary skills and equipment to take care of your fur baby. I also have 2 cats that can keep your pet company, but I can easily isolate them if necessary.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 2,989 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Maxwell. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Maxwell. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
