“Very trust worthy, leaves house like it was. Takes great care of my two dogs. Gives one dog medication on time. Good communication and reliable. My dogs enjoy her company and don’t get stressed while I’m gone”

“Erin did an amazing job with our cat and house, she went over the top in taking care of both. She gave us both such a peace of mind, it made our trip even more enjoyable. Everything was well taken care of, and she was great to correspond with. She was great!”

About: I have always loved dogs and other animals growing up. Currently I work at home. I’ll help with whatever you need for your furry friends! I can only provide the occasional “as needed” watch and not so much daily daycare services. I have a Rottweiler Doberman mix who is my world. She is 6 years old. Very active and well behaved. She would love to make some friends as well! I used to work at an animal shelters when I was younger. I can give out oral medications. Please let me know if you would like a dog sitter or walker for your time of need. Can work around any schedule even if it’s just dropping by. Please note I have experience with Lizards, and birds as well. I will not handle snakes by hand other than to drop food. Thank you for checking out my profile! Take care :) I work from home full time therefor I am always around. My office has a great view of the backyard so I can keep eye. I have a fenced yard which provides much room to run around and play with my doggo to get a workout in and lay in the sun
“We are so thankful for Kathy and Brad taking care of our babies over the Christmas holiday. I trusted that they were in caring hands. They even got a visit from “Santa” in costume and we got a picture. It made our day on Christmas!”
About: I have a great deal of passion for training dogs and horses. I've loved and cared for a multitude of different species, including a sheep! My routine is to come home, have some dinner, and then feed/play with my dog and cats. I'd love to spend time with more pets! It's imperative to me that petsitters understand individual pet body language & communicate with pet parents to ensure that every pet feels secure & comfortable.
“Valerie was absolutely wonderful. It was really hard trusting someone for the first time to take care of our puppy. She followed his routine and attended to all of his needs to make it a seamless and comfortable experience for him. Not to mention, he absolutely loved her from the start! Valerie also did a great job taking care of our home. She went out of her way to make sure everything was in order before our arrival home. We will definitely look forward to having her stay with Jack again.”

“Elisa was wonderful with our two huskies while we went on vacation. This was the first time we’ve used a dogsitter, and her updates and photos were great to see. We are so happy we chose Elisa to stay with our dogs instead of using our regular kennel. We highly recommend her!”

“Mo is very kind and is excellent with our Gracie girl! We also appreciate her level of communication with us. We already have her booked for future dates!”

“Dorothy has a very sweet and kind spirit. She is excellent with communication and she is willing to go above and beyond to make your pets feel comfortable. We truly appreciate Dorothy hanging out with our Gracie, Mitty and Indie this wekened!!”

About: Hi there! Caring for animals has been second nature to me for as long as I can remember. Whether it’s dogs or cats, I’ve lovingly looked after both my own pets and others’ for years. I welcome detailed instructions and will always follow your preferences to ensure your fur baby feels safe, happy, and at ease. I have experience with all breeds and temperaments, and I specialize in senior pet care. My own pup is 14 years old, so I understand the extra love, patience, and attention they need. I also know that some pets need a little time to warm up to new people, and that’s completely okay. I’m respectful of their pace. Before any drop-ins or vacation care, I highly recommend scheduling a meet-and-greet or a walk so your pet can get to know me in a familiar environment. This helps build trust and ensures a smoother experience for everyone involved. You’ll never feel out of the loop! I love sending regular updates and plenty of cute photos, because I know how important it is to stay connected when you’re away from your best friend. I’m here to give your pet the same level of love and attention I’d want for mine. Looking forward to meeting you both soon! I have no schedule on the weekends but I try my best to be flexible through the weekdays. I am solely here to help you get the care your pet needs while your working or even away for vacation. Within my home, my dog is free range due to being house trained. Your instructions will never be too detailed for me! I will follow your instructions to the tea. Just let me know what all you need for me to do :)
“Chevelle did a great job staying at our house with our elderly dog. This was her first visit and she will be helping us out again in the near future. Everything was just as we left it. Our dog was content and happy.”

I genuinely enjoy spending time with the animals and have always been able to build strong trusting relationships with them. What sets me apart is my patience, attentiveness, and commitment to maintaining each pets routine so they feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and I take the time to get to know their individual needs throughout my pet and experience. I’ve had no issues or problems and have consistently provided safe dependable care that owners can trust. About: Ever since I was a child, I was responsible for the care of a variety of animals, and I mean solely responsible. Growing up (and today), I was the one that friends and family came to for pet sitters and care/training advice. I prioritize following pet care instructions to a tee- I do not cut corners on even the most “meticulous” of care instructions. With me, you can trust that your fur babies will receive the highest quality of care and attention because of my intrinsic love for animals. My days vary a lot, but I am often able to make time if you give me a week’s notice. If you need urgent pet care, do not hesitate to reach out. I cannot promise that I will 100% be available, but I will make the time if I have it. Honestly, I prefer to play by the owner’s rules when caring for their pets. Besides that, I refuse to take anything but a gentle approach with the pets. I am very careful to only administer treats/toys as the owner instructs.

About: Animals have been one of the greatest loves of my life. As a yoga teacher, former pharmacy professional, and full-time traveler, I bring a calm, attentive, and compassionate presence to every home I care for. I understand that every animal has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to help them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet loves long walks, hiking adventures, fetch in the backyard, or simply curling up for quiet companionship, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’ll also treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication so you can relax knowing your beloved companion is in caring hands. I’m happy to accommodate mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holiday care when available. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in caring hands. My goal is to create a peaceful, loving environment where your pet feels comfortable, secure, and genuinely cared for.
“Isabella did a great job with our two dogs overnight while we were at our wedding. They’re a handful sometimes and she found time to leave a handwritten note and treats behind. We look forward to booking her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Huber Heights
Tatum was so awesome with our pets! She sent us updates and photos multiple times a day on how our pets were doing. By mid-week they were all sleeping in bed with her and seemed very happy with that! Our dog is pretty high strung and gets stressed out by new people, but Tatum made her feel comfortable, kept her routines going and just gave her space to chill also. We will definitely want to work with Tatum again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Huber Heights walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Huber Heights maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Huber Heights choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
