About: Hi! My name is Alyssa and I am new to rover but I have a lot of previous pet sitting experience. I attended the Greene County Career Center for 2 years in the Veterinary Science field. This provided me with experience caring for animals, and set my passion into motion. I have had a job working with service dogs which gave me experience especially with puppies. About: Ever since I was a child, I was responsible for the care of a variety of animals, and I mean solely responsible. Growing up (and today), I was the one that friends and family came to for pet sitters and care/training advice. I prioritize following pet care instructions to a tee- I do not cut corners on even the most “meticulous” of care instructions. With me, you can trust that your fur babies will receive the highest quality of care and attention because of my intrinsic love for animals. My days vary a lot, but I am often able to make time if you give me a week’s notice. If you need urgent pet care, do not hesitate to reach out. I cannot promise that I will 100% be available, but I will make the time if I have it. Honestly, I prefer to play by the owner’s rules when caring for their pets. Besides that, I refuse to take anything but a gentle approach with the pets. I am very careful to only administer treats/toys as the owner instructs.

About: I have had animals my whole life. Mostly cats, dogs and rats. I have experience with diabetic dogs and cats, so I am comfortable giving insulin injections if needed. I also have two cats currently that require daily pills, so I have experience in that as well. If your pet requires anything else specific to keep them happy and healthy, I am happy to learn their needs and routines. I am currently an artist that sells my work online and at some in person events. This generally leaves me with a lot of flexibility during the weekdays and weekends where I am not at events. I will keep my availability up to date so that it can accurately show when I am able to come check on your fur baby. I think its most important for your pets to feel safe with me, so I always try to introduce myself slowly and maintain any routines your household has developed for them. I am also happy to send daily photos as I check in, that always makes me feel better when I am away from my cats, so happy to do that or anything else to have you feel good about leaving your furry family in my care.
