About: I over 5 years of experience working professionally with dogs and cats in a multitude of settings. I also have personal experience with being a dog and cat owner my entire life. I have never met a animal I didn't like! I am Pet CPR/First Aid certified and am currently going through Fear Free training. I pride myself on providing superb pet care and ensuring that not only do I make your pets happy but also you! Each visit is tailored to fit the needs of each pet I take care of. I am able to accommodate senior dogs, leash reactive dogs, fearful dogs, cats, puppies, and dogs with mobility issues. I can also accommodate rodents, fish, or other small animals.I look forward to meeting you and your furry or furless family member! I am currently working part time, but I am able to plan my weeks ahead time! I can accommodate early am (before 8am) and pm 7 days a week (5pm-10pm) walks/drop in on most day but that varies. Some weeks I have open week days. My weekends are open. Feel free to ask me! I would be a great back up plan. Also, if you have a dog that needs a experienced walker because they won't just walk with anyone, then we can both find a time that works! It depends on what your expectations are. I like to follow the guidelines set but if there are no guidelines then I try to keep each visit fun for each animal. Some like a good cuddle session, others like puzzles, and some are hikers. You let me know what your pet likes!

“Abigail was great caring for my older dog while I was overseas. I was very nervous leaving him as he was recovering from an injury, but she took care to follow all instructions and sent me daily updates and photos. Toby took a liking to her and was in great hands.”

“Liz was fantastic! She communicated quickly and often. She took great care of our pup, Emma! She left our house clean and even put away groceries I had delivered! She exceeded my expectations and I would book her again in a heartbeat.”

“Destinée was incredible with our kitties! Even our shy girl loved her right away. She was very kind and responsive and sent lots of photos. We will definitely be booking with her again soon. Definitely recommend!”

“Justin did a wonderful job caring for Queen and Isaiah! He sent daily updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. The dogs looked happy, relaxed, and completely comfortable snuggling with him—their favorite activity. We returned home to two happy pets and would gladly book Justin again. Highly recommend!”

“Marissa is so sweet and kind, my dogs enjoy it when she babysits them. My one dog is apprehensive of strangers but he came around to Marissa pretty quickly. I highly recommend Marissa for your pet sitting needs.”
“Madeline was AMAZING with our dog and cat. She was responsive when messaging. She kept us updated with photos and messages. We returned to a spotless house and happy pets.”

“Sara did a wonderful job with watching our pups while we were gone. They were calm and not anxious when we returned. They were well loved. The house looked great when we returned too! We highly recommend Sara!”

About: Over the years I've helped friends, family members, and neighbors with cat & dog care, ranging from walks to playtime and feeding. I am comfortable with reinforcing good behavior and obedience training. I work remotely most days, so I'm able to arrange regular times to care for pets, whether it's a mid-day walk, feeding breakfast or dinner, or administering medications before bedtime. I make sure all pet-accessible areas remain safe and clean. I do regular checks for hazardous items and clean up any accidents. If any toys or bedding become damaged to the point that they could cause harm to a pet, I secure them away from the pet and notify the owner.
“Samantha has cared for our dog (and home) twice now. Again we returned home to a happy pup and clean home. Samantha kept us informed and sent photos, and I wholeheartedly recommend her.”

“Aryanna took wonderful care of our two kitty boys for a week! They were very happy when we arrived home and we know they were happy while we were gone with the pictures that were taken! Also Aryanna checked in daily with us to let us know everything was going well. The apartment looks the same as we left it, the trash was taken out, and packages were brought up without even asking! If you need a pet sitter Aryanna is the way to go!”

“Claudia was so helpful and communicative. She was very sweet with our rowdy dogs, and sent probably around 100 pictures over our 4 day trip. She gave us plenty of peace of mind while we were on our trip, missing our two dogs and our two older kitties. She went above and beyond and even brought in some unexpected packages for us, keeping them from getting soaked in the rain. Our dogs loved her, cant wait to book again!”

“Our dog took a liking to Michele immediately & had a great week with her. I especially appreciate how Michele kept our pup to her usual schedule and gave her lots of love! We returned to a tidy house and well cared for plants on our porch. We will definitely use Michele again if she’s available.”

“Emily was extremely professional, attentive, and caring with my cats while she house sat for me over the weekend during my trip to Maine. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing all four of my cats were accounted for, fed, and cared for, and I really appreciated the check-in photos and updates throughout the weekend. She let me know when they had breakfast, when she was heading out for the night, and kept their routine consistent while I was away. Emily was kind, friendly, and wonderful with my animals. I highly recommend her as a pet sitter — she did an amazing job!”

“Katherine is the best dog sitter we have ever had. She connected with our dog Peanut immediately. We felt very comfortable leaving Peanut with her. Katherine consistently updated us with pictures and information about our precious dog on a daily basis. It helped make our vacation special, knowing that our dog Peanut was in great hands. I will definitely use her again. She deserves a 5 star rating.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats my whole life and have always been an animal person. I’ve spent plenty of time caring for friends’ pets and enjoy making sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. I love getting dogs outside for walks, hikes, and little adventures, but I’m just as happy hanging out at home with a cat or a laid-back pup. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, and overnight stays if you’re traveling and want someone reliable looking after your pets. I’ll treat your animals like they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. My schedule is pretty pet-friendly! I’m an early riser (we’re talking around 4:30 AM — yes, I know, it’s a little ridiculous), which means I have plenty of time in the mornings for walks, check-ins, playtime, and keeping your pets company before my workday starts at 11:30 AM. I also have plenty of availability on weekends, making it easy to fit in walks, adventures, and quality time with your furry friends. Whether your dog is ready to hit the trail before most people have had their coffee or your cat just wants some attention and a quiet hangout, I’m happy to help. Basically, my alarm clock and my love for animals have teamed up to make me a pretty convenient pet sitter! I know leaving your pets with someone new can feel a little like leaving your kids with a babysitter — except your pets probably judge me more and can’t tell me what they want (besides snacks). My approach is simple: keep them safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I’ll treat your home with respect, follow your instructions, and make sure your pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away. Whether your dog needs a walking buddy, your cat needs someone to pretend they’re not the boss of the house, or your pet just needs some company and belly rubs, I’m happy to help. My goal is for your pets to have a great time and for you to enjoy your trip without worrying about what’s happening back home.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hopewell
Madison took excellent care of our dog Daisy while we were away. She communicated with us regularly and Daisy seemed happy and relaxed when we returned. She also went out of her way to help us when there was an unexpected power outage. We highly recommend her!

Kim was absolutely amazing. She came and spent time with our very anxious girl before the stay to make sure she was comfortable. She sent frequent updates and rarely left the house. She went above and beyond in all aspects. Can’t wait to use her services in the future

Shuze was an amazing housesitter for our pets! We have a couple anxious dogs that warmed up to her immediately. When one dog lost her appetite, Shuze went out of her way to help the dog feel more comfortable. We'll definitely book her again for dog sitting, since she was so sweet to our dogs. We appreciated her work so much!

Sarah was amazing when watching our two dogs and cat while we were away on vacation. The animals were loved and well taken care of during her watch. The house was taken care of and she was very communicative and prompt with her replies. She took lots of pictures and gave the perfect amount of updates.

Came home to a tidy house and two very cuddly pets. Our dog is pretty high needs in terms of attention, and our cat is terrified of new people. We got plenty of pics and updates over the 10 days we were out, and by the end of their time together the cat was actually coming out to spend time with her and the dog, which normally would take him months of meeting a person. Cannot recommend enough, and would absolutely book again.

Absolutely great! My dogs are very scared when left alone over the 4th of July and they felt very secure with her there. Our cat is also a very needy boy who constantly demands whatever he wants and she handled it perfectly. She also gave a ton of pictures and gave a lot of updates. I would definitely book again!

Jessica sat with my girl Lilly for 6 days and did a stellar job. She is exceedingly professional but also compassionate and kind. She sent me numerous photos of Lilly to keep me posted and Lilly looked alert and happy in every one. This was only the second time I've had a dog sitter and I am still anxious about the process. But Lilly is 13 (albeit with lots of puppy energy) and I just don't want to leave her in a kennel cage anymore. I was not worried for one minute while away. And when I returned, I was happy to see her in good health and spirit and thee house exactly as I left it. I recommend Jessica without reservation.

I wish I could give Yasmine a million stars! She is so attentive. When one of our dogs was having tummy issues, she offered to make her a plain meal to help. She is so responsive and sends so many pictures and updates. We were so nervous leaving our babies but she is a pro. 100% recommend her and we will be using her again in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Hopewell on Rover is $40.66 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 10,185 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Hopewell. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hopewell walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hopewell maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hopewell choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hopewell. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
