About: I have experience caring for dogs through both long-term and everyday responsibilities, including helping raise my aunt’s dog from puppyhood and regularly caring for my boyfriend’s dog. My responsibilities have included walking, feeding, playtime, maintaining routines, and providing companionship to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of care and attention I give to each pet individually. I understand that being away from their owner can be stressful for some animals, so I focus on creating a calm, reassuring, and positive environment where they feel secure and loved. My experience caring for puppies has also taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of paying close attention to behavior, routines, and energy levels. I treat every pet with the same care, compassion, and responsibility I would want for my own animals. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already spend a lot of time caring for my own cats. I make sure they’re fed, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention and playtime throughout the day. I even take my cat on walks, so I’m very attentive to both physical activity and emotional enrichment. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so being patient, observant, and consistent with their routines comes very naturally to me. II believe pets communicate their needs through their behavior and body language, so I always pay close attention to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I respect each pet’s boundaries while also giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and care. In both my home and a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable, maintaining their routine, and making sure they don’t feel lonely or stressed while their owner is away.
“Really prompt and super understanding with some last minute issues. Dogs were perfectly content and the house was exactly as I left it. Would def recommend Alex!”

“Marissa did an absolutely fabulous job of taking care of our two "elderly" greyhounds for a week. She made them comfortable and secure by sticking to their routine and gave them lots of love. She sent pictures and gave us regular updates and was very responsive to any questions that we had so we never had to wonder what was going on. I would highly recommend Marissa!!”

“Oli helped us out on really short notice and took fantastic care of our pup. It was such a relief to know our girl was getting love and attention while we were away. Thank you, Oli!”

About: When caring for pets in a home, whether it's my own or a client's, I prioritize following the pet's specific routine and needs. This includes adhering to feeding schedules, ensuring fresh water is always available, and adjusting meals for any dietary restrictions. I provide regular exercise and playtime, such as daily walks for dogs or interactive toys for cats, while also keeping the environment safe and pet-proofed. I monitor for signs of illness, administer medications if necessary, and maintain cleanliness, like cleaning litter boxes and brushing fur. Additionally, I offer comfort and affection, creating a calm space for relaxation, especially for pets with separation anxiety, to ensure their well-being. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I can easily integrate feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddle sessions into my schedule. Whether it's letting pets out for bathroom breaks, refreshing water bowls, or simply being there to offer comfort and companionship, I can provide pets with consistent care and attention all day long. My flexible routine also means I can adapt to each pet's specific needs and make sure they feel safe, loved, and part of the household. When caring for pets, I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a comforting environment. I ensure all spaces are pet-proofed, keep routines consistent, and supervise pets closely to prevent accidents or stress. In my home, pets enjoy a clean, calm space. While in a client's home, I respect their space, follow all care instructions closely, and keep their home secure. I build trust through consistent communication, photo updates, and gentle, attentive care.
“Amber and Olivia were fantastic with Koda and Lulu. Came home to a straightened house with the sheets in the dryer. It’s wonderful to go on vacation knowing your fur babies are being well taken care of. They also checked in and sent fun’s pics. I will definitely book again!”

“Viv was fantastic with Mochi! She kept us updated throughout our trip, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. I loved getting the cute pictures and hearing that everything was going well. It’s clear she enjoys caring for pets and she is very trustworthy. We were so happy with the experience that we rebooked her immediately. I would absolutely recommend Viv to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

About: I was raised in a family of animal lovers and helped to care for at least one family pup at all times. From my grandma's cat filled house to my own dogs, I have always been surrounded by a variety of furry friends so I'm very comfortable and experienced with caring for them. I began pet-sitting for neighbors as soon as I got into high school, and I'm very excited to meet some new furry friends! As a second year student at the University of Virginia home on winter break from classes, I've got a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care! I have a completely free schedule, which means I can provide consistent and attentive care for your furry friends, ensuring they get plenty of playtime, walks, and attention while you're away! Since I live in an apartment that doesn't allow animals, I don't offer in-home pet care services. Instead, I provide dedicated pet care at your convenience! I will make sure your pet feels comfortable and happy during our time together. I also maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs, ensuring your furry friend receives the best care possible in a familiar environment. Your pet's well-being is my top priority!
“Daniel was incredibly helpful and attentive when my dogs had some stomach issues during their stay. He took extra care of them, which gave me peace of mind. I really appreciate his kindness and dedication!”

About: My name is Nick and I am a teacher in Chesterfield county looking to use my love for animals as a way to make some extra money over the summer. I have had dogs and cats growing up my whole life and currently have a dog named Bagel and a cat named Friday. I also have lots of experience dog/cat sitting for friends and family over the years ever since I was in high-school. I am a teacher so I won’t be working during the summers so I will have unlimited time during the day/night to take care of your pets and their needs! Once the school year starts I can do weekends and afternoon/nights! I have a lot of energy myself so if your pets love to get exercise/play around I am very up for that. I also try to be very thorough with the pet care instructions and will ask questions/for clarification to ensure I am giving your pet the best care as possible.

“Douglas was such a great pick to hang with our pups and care for our home while we were gone. Our pups like to keep things interesting and Douglas’s patience with them is not only appreciated, but is admired, especially when it came to caring for our senior dog. We would gladly welcome Douglas back to our home, and I know the pups would love that too.”

About: I’m a medical student at VCU on summer break and missing my own pets at home. I’ve walked neighborhood dogs and fostered shelter dogs and cats for several years and have volunteered walking dogs at Richmond Animal League (RAL) for the past year. I’m responsible, hardworking, and dependable and looking forward to meeting you and your pets! I’m a medical student on summer break for the next couple months and will be doing research remotely from home so my schedule is very flexible and I can adapt my timing to yours. I’m comfortable caring for your pets in my apartment having fostered pets here in the past or coming to your home. I’ve worked with shy dogs, energetic pups, playful puppies and everything in-between! I’m comfortable with a range and have also given medications and done some training if that’s something that needs to be continued.

“I had never used Rover before Emily took care of Beaumont. I will definitely use the service again because of my great experience with her. She kept me updated and sent adorable photos of Beau!”

“Celeste was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter. She was communicative, thoughtful, and consistently kept me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I could tell my dog felt safe, loved, and well cared for the entire time. I would absolutely trust Celeste again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

Miska was absolutely wonderful! From the initial message, to the meet and greet, and then the actual dog sitting part. She was very responsive to my messages and she was flexible in setting up the "meet and greet" with me and Max. When we met for the first time she was very personable and Max leaned into her for side scratches almost immediately. Miska asked pertinent questions and took notes during our meeting and tour of the apartment. She spent time loving on Max as I showed her where all of his medications and treats were located. While I was gone she let me know when she arrived and gave a me quick rundown of what her and Max were doing and she sent pictures daily. Miska treated my home like it was hers and everything was left in a neat and clean manner, even going as gar as doing dishes and taking out trash. Most importantly Max was a happy boy when I returned. I will most definitely be using Miska again in the future.

Alexis is wonderfully attentive and communicative and did an excellent job with our senior dogs! We were gone for a week and knew they were in good hands. She was very receptive to our directions and keeping the little old ladies safe and loved. We highly recommend Alexis!
Molly took great care of our three dogs while we were away and kept us updated throughout. Molly was especially patient and understanding with our older Chihuahua. It was clear that our dogs were well cared for and comfortable. We would happily trust her with our pets again and highly recommend her to others.

Ginny took such amazing care of my Tillie-Bean! She kept me updated with plenty of photos and messages, which made being away from my sweet pea so much easier. Tillie had such a great time that I’m pretty sure she’ll be requesting Ginny as her sitter again in the future! 🐾💕

Nancy did a wonderful job caring for our home and our three very different dogs while we were away. She was responsible, communicative, and great about checking in whenever she had questions. She carefully followed all instructions, and it was clear our dogs were well cared for and comfortable in her care. We came home to happy dogs and a house that was in great shape. We truly appreciated the peace of mind she gave us and would absolutely recommend her to others.

I have a very anxious pup who does not do well apart from me. Camryn did so great with him, it has been one of the easiest transitions back home and he seems very calm! My house was also perfectly kept. Very happy and will definitely be a repeat client of Camryn’s if she will stay again!
