Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and have a dog of my own. I’m available for regular walks, check ins, and plenty of attention throughout the day, with extra time on weekends for long walks, dog parks, and outdoor play.

Could you please share their feeding schedule and portion size, any allergies or medications, vet information and emergency contact, and their typical daily routine? I’d also love to know about their energy level, walk preferences, triggers or fears, how they do with other dogs or people, commands they know, house rules, and any behaviors I should be aware of. The more I know about their personality and routine, the better I can care for them.
A typical day
I’ll do whatever the space allows, from indoor enrichment games and sensory training to backyard fetch, neighborhood walks, basic obedience practice, puzzle toys, socialization, cuddle time, and calm wind-down routines to keep pets mentally stimulated, physically active, and feeling safe and cared for.

I have over eight years of hands on pet care experience, including caring for a diabetic dog requiring consistent monitoring and medication management. I have cared for small, medium, and large dogs, as well as cats and other household pets.

Douglas was such a great pick to hang with our pups and care for our home while we were gone. DJ was absolutely amazing—this was my first time using him, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was incredibly flexible and met up with me a couple of times beforehand to make sure it was a good fit and that our dogs got along, which I really appreciated. During my week-long trip, he sent daily photos and thoughtful updates, which made it so easy to relax while I was away. He stuck closely to Louie’s routine but was also flexible based on what Louie needed day-to-day. Louie even developed his first hot spot while I was gone, and DJ handled it so well—I never felt worried for a second. It was clear Louie was in great hands. On top of everything, I came home to a place that was even cleaner than I left it. Truly above and beyond. 10000% would book again. Highly recommend!
Douglas has watched my dog Millie for several weekends now. He sends lots of pictures of Millie on her daily walks, hanging out on the couch, and playing with other dogs. I always trust that Millie is in good hands when I leave her with Douglas!
