I'm self-employed so my time is very flexible. One day per week I pick up a 6 hour shift at a cafe, and that's the longest I'd ever be away from your pet.

I will care for your pet in your home, because your home is also their home. **If you have indoor cameras inside your home that you monitor, please do not book with me, I will not work for clients that do not respect my privacy to a reasonable degree. Information Fran M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog is not leash trained, or is aggressive with other dogs. This affects my approach, and helps me figure out when/where it's best for me to walk them. If your dog weighs more than me and is not leash trained, I will not walk them, but am happy to talk through other options with you.
A typical day
I'm a contemplative, sensitive young lady and an avid hiker, so I love a long walk! I also love to take more sociable dogs along with me to South of the James farmers market, to my favorite coffee shops, or to Scuffletown Park where they can make lots of friends and smell all the smells. (Dogs, don't tell your owners, but I let you sniff sooooo much for sooo long. Shh!)

Pet care experience
I am an experienced, reliable, and flexible pet sitter and dog walker. I am just now re-starting out on Rover, so this is only a glimpse of my experience. I've been taking care of people's pets since I was a kid, did so professionally in college, and then limited my scope to just friends and family these past few years. I'm now self-employed and petless, and I miss being around animals! I grew up with big dogs (rotties and pitties have my heart) and have lived with many, many cats over the years. In addition to years of general experience, I also have specific experience with older pets (both cat and dog), end of life palliative care, and particular experience with high-needs dogs recovering from surgical procedures. My schedule is flexible and I love to be active; if you have a dog that needs a good hike, I consider that a special treat!
