About: Before college, I was the primary caregiver for my family’s dog, Max—handling everything from daily walks and feeding to bathing, training, and playtime tailored to his pace and personality. That hands-on experience taught me how to read a dog’s needs and build trust through consistency and care. I’ve also cared for multiple pets through prior sitting experiences, including three dogs of different sizes and three cats, so I’m comfortable adapting to a variety of temperaments, routines, and energy levels. While in college, I’ve continued growing my experience by volunteering with a local shelter’s Doggy Day Out program, taking dogs on walks, hikes, and special outings to give them enrichment and a break from the shelter environment. These experiences have strengthened my ability to care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm. I am currently a student at UNM and working part time, so my evenings are relatively free during the week. Friday afternoons - Sunday mornings are the best time for me to hangout with your pet and care for them full time. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and comfort will always be my top priority. I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise, affection, and attention—whether that means long walks, playtime, or just lots of love and cuddles. My privacy is as important to me as your security is to you. Outside cameras are ok. ALL instructions must be written and left for me in your home. Please include ALL of your pets and their behaviors. Only well behaved and non-aggressive pets. No history of biting, scratching or constant barking. No escape artists. Pet care fits in well with my daily and weekly routine. I love being outdoors getting fresh air and exercise and enjoy playing with dogs. I love playing with cats, kittens and puppies too. I care for pets in my client's homes. They follow their usual routine. Pets seem happier and more relaxed in their own happy homes. Much love, affection and attention is given. About: I’ve taken care of many pets, but my favorite was sitting a senior blind dog , he was sweet and knew his way around the home when I let him out to play and go potty, it was a heartfelt experience. Can sit at your home anytime, I can bring toys, treats, dog pads etc. I am available everyday! Sundays I have church so any time after that 1pm! Latest I can do drop ins/walks is 11:30 pm (Before midnight preferably) I do have a playful dog named Manolo he is a mixed pug, he is adorable and has lots of energy if your dog ever needs a friend to play with! He is well behaved and is currently progressing at his potty training on dog pads. He also has is shots :)

About: I connect with animals easily, and have had dogs all my life. From rambunctious Golden Retrievers to timid shelter dogs with anxiety, I've lived with them all. I spent almost 3 years working at Trupanion pet insurance in Seattle, a company dedicated to protecting pets from medical euthanasia through accident and illness insurance, surrounded by dogs and cats in a Seattle office and learning about pet health and medical treatments. I know what to look out for in terms of risky behavior and how to keep pets safe-- my schedule means that I set my own hours on certain days and when I mark myself as available, I can (and want to) spend a lot of time with your pet. I stay overnights when house sitting and really love the time I get to spend with pets in their own space. My dog (Italian greyhound in the profile photo) passed away in 2018, and after that loss I've been looking for more dog time in my life. I have a very caring and calm/ positive style so dogs love me back. I have experience with dogs of all ages and abilities. <3 I often write and read/ work from home and will need to go to my campus office occasionally or hold meetings outside of the home. I also teach online and in person generally. While I am often home, I will need to be able to come and go as needed during the day for grocery shopping, medical appointments, and professional events. That being said, I usually am a home body with internet and some animals. Let me know your preferences in terms of scheduling, but also realize that I cannot be there 24/7 every day of the stay, especially for long term stays. I am no longer offering boarding, but am happy to take care of your pets in their familiar environment. I have found that pets are more happy in their own homes, and I am clean/ trustworthy, and can take them on walks they are familiar with. If you are far out of my radius or if your pet requires intensive training and continuous exercise on a regimented schedule, we may not be the best fit. However, if you are looking for someone to give your pet comfort, praise, and take them on two walks a day or play fetch with them in the backyard, I can play with them and we can enjoy each other's company.
