Pet care experience

Certified tail-wag enthusiast

Before college, I was the primary caregiver for my family’s dog, Max—handling everything from daily walks and feeding to bathing, training, and playtime tailored to his pace and personality. That hands-on experience taught me how to read a dog’s needs and build trust through consistency and care. I’ve also cared for multiple pets through prior sitting experiences, including three dogs of different sizes and three cats, so I’m comfortable adapting to a variety of temperaments, routines, and energy levels. While in college, I’ve continued growing my experience by volunteering with a local shelter’s Doggy Day Out program, taking dogs on walks, hikes, and special outings to give them enrichment and a break from the shelter environment. These experiences have strengthened my ability to care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s happiness, safety, and comfort will always be my top priority. I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise, affection, and attention—whether that means long walks, playtime, or just lots of love and cuddles. If you choose house sitting, your pet won’t just be cared for—they’ll have a constant companion who keeps their routine consistent and stress-free. I also love taking pets on little adventures, like trips to nearby parks, to keep them engaged and happy. For your peace of mind, I’m happy to provide daily updates with photos and messages, so you always know your pet is safe, relaxed, and having a great time.

Addie is a great petsitter! She is kind and responsible. It's clear that she loves all animals! What stood out to me most was how quickly my dog, Dusty, warmed up to her. Dusty is normally very standoffish around new people and will bark and hide. It takes him multiple meets for him to even begin to approach them. This was not the case with Addie, however. When Addie first came over to our house, Dusty barked only a few times. Then he immediately went to Addie for pets. We were amazed! Dusty loves Addie and gets so excited every time we say "Addie's here!" I recommend Addie to anyone looking for a reliable and friendly petsitter!

Addie is an extremely patient and loving pet caregiver. She has spent time with both my dog and two cats, and did very well with reading their body language signals and acting accordingly. She developed a great bond with my dog and spent time playing and running around with her.

When my chihuahua Tillie first met Addie, she was unconventionally filled with joy by how warm Addie appeared. Addie then treated Tillie to a great couple of hours of comfy ear scratches and lap time. I’ll be definitely coming back to Addie for pet sitting needs in the future!

Max came into our lives seven years ago as a Christmas gift for Addie, and she has taken amazing care of him ever since. Max is a rescue dog and has a few issues, such as separation anxiety. Addie has shown great patience working with him. She makes sure he gets two walks a day, regular baths each week, and plenty of playtime and affection. Addie has also trained him to do several tricks, including roll over, sit, shake, high five, and lay down. Our favorite is “Up Bang!”—he stands on his back legs, pretends to be shot, and dramatically falls onto his side as if he’s dead. Max absolutely adores her!
