About: I started volunteering at vet clinics in 2006. I've been caring for other people's pets since 2012, including dogs, cats, exotic birds, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I am experienced with special needs animals, elderlies, and those recovering from surgery. I've completed over 100 volunteer hours walking rescue dogs at Animal Humane New Mexico (AHNM). I am comfortable working with some behavioral challenges. Helping out with pets is my favorite thing to do! Outside the home or your fenced yard, dogs will be on-leash and distanced from other animals and people. I do not mix animals from different homes.

My home has a fenced in yard with plenty of grass for potty breaks. I am also experienced with giving medicine in case your little one has any conditions which require said service. I work from home as I mentioned so I am available for all of my services anytime. I take my work phone with me so if I need to stop by during business hours, it is perfectly fine! About: Before college, I was the primary caregiver for my family’s dog, Max—handling everything from daily walks and feeding to bathing, training, and playtime tailored to his pace and personality. That hands-on experience taught me how to read a dog’s needs and build trust through consistency and care. I’ve also cared for multiple pets through prior sitting experiences, including three dogs of different sizes and three cats, so I’m comfortable adapting to a variety of temperaments, routines, and energy levels. While in college, I’ve continued growing my experience by volunteering with a local shelter’s Doggy Day Out program, taking dogs on walks, hikes, and special outings to give them enrichment and a break from the shelter environment. These experiences have strengthened my ability to care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm. I am currently a student at UNM and working part time, so my evenings are relatively free during the week. Friday afternoons - Sunday mornings are the best time for me to hangout with your pet and care for them full time. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and comfort will always be my top priority. I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise, affection, and attention—whether that means long walks, playtime, or just lots of love and cuddles. About: I have had cats most of my life, about 20 years, and I know that they are the bosses. They may have a reputation for being loners but most of the time they like attention, just on their own terms. I come up with clever games to get their wiggles out and treat each cat the way they like to be treated. They may seem like loners but playing is very important. Each cat has a different personality and that is very important to understand. I also take great photos and will gladly take some super cute portraits of your furry baby so you see that they are doing well while you are away. Your cats will be well fed, with clean litter boxes and lots of purrs when you get home.

About: Hi, I’m Avery (Julie)! At the moment I do not have any pets of my own…yet keep dog treats in my mailbox for passers by. I have had dogs and cats in my life since I can remember. I have had 5 dogs at a time, and know how to lead, and listen. Highly intuitive and super happy person who genuinely cares about connection with animals. I am a communicative person and can definitely assist in helping with your pets - keeping you informed of their well being. Currently I am available on week nights after 4pm, and weekends, yet I retire very soon so will have time to attend during the week days. My home is very comfortable and there is enough space for pets to have room to explore. I have a fenced front and back yard. I also have a cooled sunroom that will also be available for summer or windy days.

About: Personally trained and cared for 30+ dogs. Proud owner of a German Shepherd named Blitzen and I've cared for multiple pets at the same time over the years. I firmly believe exercise is necessary for happy owners and pets alike. Leadership never turns off. I live off a simple and disciplined schedule. I'm almost always up before 05:00 with the exception of weekends and the first things I do as part of my morning routine is let the dogs out, meditate, and then take my dog Blitzen for a run. I have a large backyard that is enclosed by walls. Every pup I house I exercise, as it's important for their mental health (and mine), and it helps them acclimate to a new environment. I've trained multiple dogs and I'm adapted to recognizing and preventing unwanted fights and scenarios of that nature. I care for all pets in the same manner and typically follow leadership strategies recommended by Cesar Milan & Don Sullivan such as implementing rules, boundaries, and limitations as well as showing affection at the appropriate time so as not to encourage nervous and aggressive energy. Dogs have been a large part of my well-being and happiness and I understand that they have specific needs as well. Leadership to me entails leading my own life and practicing personal integrity. Every pup I've met or trained offers new opportunities for patience and learning and I'm happy to accept that challenge.
