“Our second time with Alona and it won’t be our last. She is the best. Takes care of our home and our boys and we are able to have that weight off our shoulders while enjoying family vacations. She celebrated one of our boys birthdays and sent us updates around the clock. We came home to a tidy house and happy tired pups. Can’t ask for anything better!!”

“Jennifer took excellent care of our dog, cats, and home while we were gone. She kept us updated with messages and pictures the whole time. We felt very comfortable leaving our fur babies in her care.”

“Jessica was AMAZING with house sitting our pets!! She was very thorough with all the pets and extremely detailed oriented. She provided both written and photo updates of our 2 dogs and 3 cats daily and sometimes multiple times during the day. She would ask great questions while she was house sitting, and if I needed to reach out to her she was highly response. I would not hesitate asking Jessica to housesit again. Jessica is definitely a 5-star pet sitter and house sitter!”

“Barbara was fantastic! She did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs and aquarium. One of our dogs is very nervous around new people and by the end of Barbara's stay, the dog was comfortable with her. She provide updates daily and did not hesitate when any instructions were unclear. I will definitely book with Barbara again.”

About: I have loved and cared for dogs my whole life! I have volunteered at the Humane Society for several years walking dogs and making them feel loved. I also have taken in stray cats and made them feel special! I currently do not work so I am available anytime to see your pet! I love taking care of animals and seeing them makes my day! I live in an apartment complex with a dog park right outside! I have 2 cats but one is very skiddish and hides and my other cat is very friendly and outgoing and loves meeting new friends!

“Nicole did a great job taking care of our little dog Coconut in our home while we went on a week long trip. She left the house in excellent condition, was able to grab our mail, sent a few pictures and updates too so we felt happy knowing Coco was in good hands. We would definitely love to have her sit for Coco again.”

“Serenity was truly exceptional with our senior girl, and we are so grateful for the level of care she provided. From the moment we left, she made sure we felt at ease. We never leave our dogs, and this was so hard to do but she sent regular updates with photos and videos so we could see how comfortable and happy our girl was. These updates meant a lot to us considering our girl is older and needs a little extra attention. Beyond caring for our dog, Serenity grabbed our mail and kept our home incredibly clean. Walking back into a spotless house after traveling was a gift and it speaks volumes about her respect for our space and her professionalism. It was very clear Serenity loves pet sitting! She was patient, gentle, attentive, and treated our little girl like family. We felt completely comfortable leaving our girl in her hands and we'd book again without hesitation. Anyone looking for a trustworthy, thoughtful, and truly outstanding sitter would be lucky to have her. Thank you, Serenity! We truly appreciate you!”

“I’ve had family members and friends watch Teeto before but no one takes care of him with the care and affection as Robin does ❤️ she is truly the best with our Teeto and I will 100% always recommend Robin!”
“Cynthia is such a caring person and Molly is so excited to see her every time she comes to take care of her. We know that she is going to have a great day with Cynthia”

“Brandy was amazing with our dog, River, and cat, Reese! She sent lots of photos and updates, gave River his meds perfectly, and took such great care of both of them. We even had a scheduling mix-up on our end, and Brandy was so kind, flexible, and understanding.”

“Jennifer looked after Coco so well. She provided timely updates and sent lots of pictures of Coco too. My detailed instructions were very well followed by Jenny. Our house was very clean when we got back home too. We would recommend Jenny to doggy sit for sure!”

“We have three pups and our oldest has a medical protocol, so finding a way to attend a family event cross country was pretty stressful. Then we found Timea. Our pups excelled with her, her care and communications were wonderful. The pups often get anxious when we are gone and they all did wonderful and were so calm when we returned. She customized care for each pup, walking the big one, cuddling the needy one and top notch medical care for the oldest. I highly recommend Timea for excellent pup care.”

“I unfortunately didn’t have service for our trip. And being a helicopter mom it scared me BUT Michael did great, even sent me pictures of them, even though i didn’t have service i appreciated them once i received them❤️ I will 100% book again in the future and also recommend!!”

“Margaret was fantastic! She handled a tough assignment (puppy for a week) with apparent ease. Great communication and regular updates throughout the stay. We returned home to a very happy pup and a clean well maintained home! 10/10 for sure.”

“Liz took great care of my two pit bulls while I was away. I have hired her twice and would definitely look to her to take care of my dogs again in the future.”

Morgan was outstanding! Our Pug has a lot of anxiety and I could tell when we got home that she was happy and content. We received several pictures and updates while we were away as well. It was also a great pleasure to have our home left clean and tidy. We will definitely use Morgan again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 6,974 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across High Rock. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred High Rock walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in High Rock maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in High Rock choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
