Jean was the perfect choice to take care of our fur babies. The dogs went nuts with glee when she came to drop off the key so I know they love her. The house was clean and sheets shaved when we returned. Thanks Jean!

Abby was great with Harry! She showed real interest in getting to know Harry before her pet sitting even started, asking if we had and special instructions (which we do 😅). We sent the whole pet sitting guide we've created over his life so far and she read it! She was right on time, took Harry for a walk, played with him, and let him relax like he usually does during the day. She was so sweet with him and Harry had a great day with Abby! We also got so many fun pics and vids throughout their day together 😆

Kira was an amazing dog sitter! One of our dogs has separation anxiety, and Kira did a great job keeping her calm and cared for. They also asked a lot of great questions to make sure they had all of the information they needed about our dogs while we were gone. They sent us pictures of the dogs and gave status updates while we were gone which was really appreciated! They were very flexible with time too, I was able to book them with just a few days notice, and had to stay out later than expected which was no problem for them. Overall it was a great experience, our pups seemed very happy. Thanks Kira! <3

Barbara was fantastic! She did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs and aquarium. One of our dogs is very nervous around new people and by the end of Barbara's stay, the dog was comfortable with her. She provide updates daily and did not hesitate when any instructions were unclear. I will definitely book with Barbara again.

About: I have cared for animals ever since I was very young, and officially at 9 years old when I got a little hands on experience caring for horses at my riding club. Then more hands on experience when I officially started volunteering at my club for 2 years. But more importantly, I have cat care, and dog care experience. I am responsible for my 2 kitties that I own and I have dog sat 2 puppers for a family friend in the recent past. Animals are a huge part of my life and it has been my dream to follow a career path based around animals ever since I was a little kid. I genuinely want more pet sitting experiences and I would love to care for as many fur babies as I possibly can. I work part time so I have lots of availability in my week to take care of your fur babies. During my available days which are Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, I am very flexible and will be ready to care for your pets at the times you need me to. To keep my kitties safe, my home is cat proofed and I am always on the look out for small objects, wrappers, or anything on the ground that might be dangerous for them. I will do the same in your home to make sure your pets are safe and sound. I will safely take your dogs on walks, feed them, and play with them based on the routine you would like me to follow. As well as any special feeding instructions they have. I will keep your puppers and kitties entertained and well fed. I will also clean their food and water dishes when needed and snuggle with them. I can adjust to whatever your pet needs based on their personality, energy level, or whatever they need in general.

We have three pups and our oldest has a medical protocol, so finding a way to attend a family event cross country was pretty stressful. Then we found Timea. Our pups excelled with her, her care and communications were wonderful. The pups often get anxious when we are gone and they all did wonderful and were so calm when we returned. She customized care for each pup, walking the big one, cuddling the needy one and top notch medical care for the oldest. I highly recommend Timea for excellent pup care.

Veronika was great with Baxter. He was happy to see us but we could tell he was well loved and cared for by her. She sent pics and expressed a small concern (which we appreciated ) but turned out just fine. When we returned, it was like he was looking for her to walk in with us. We will definitely book her again.

About: I’m a proud dog mom to Kona, my Akita/Malamute mix. Caring for him has given me hands-on experience with giant breeds, leash handling, enrichment, and dogs with different temperaments and needs. Because Kona is reactive, I’ve also learned how important patience, awareness, and giving dogs the space they need can be. I’ve also cared for cats for years and love getting to know each pet’s individual personality and routine. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, reactive, or a senior, I take the time to understand what helps them feel most comfortable. I have a flexible schedule and offer dog walks, drop-in visits, non-overnight house sitting, and extended daytime care in your home. I’m happy to work with you to create a care schedule that fits your pet’s normal routine, whether they need walks, potty breaks, meals, playtime, companionship, or a little extra attention while you’re away. When available, I can also provide transportation to grooming appointments, daycare, boarding, or veterinary visits. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet in someone else’s care, so I make communication a priority. You can expect plenty of photos and thoughtful updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort and will adjust walks or activities as needed based on weather, energy level, and individual needs.

Alina was the perfect fit for our family. The two dogs immediately felt safe and comfortable with her. Her spirt is kind and the like all dogs they knew she was loves animals. She took them for their regular walks and took them on an adventure to the park. The biggest testimony to her pets sitting is that the dogs were calm, happy, and napping after she left. She has the vibe!

We couldn't be happier with our experience! Our elderly dog has some vision and hearing challenges, so finding someone we truly trust with him isn't easy — but she was absolutely wonderful with him. She took exceptional care of him, was easy to communicate with, and we felt completely at ease having her stay in our home. We'd highly recommend her to anyone, especially those with senior or special-needs pets. We'll definitely be booking again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Duvall

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Duvall on Rover is $69.55 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 7,233 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Duvall. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Duvall walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Duvall maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Duvall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Duvall. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
