About: Dogs are a huge part of my life! Before moving to Wisconsin, I owned and operated a dog walking and overnight boarding business in Maryland for two years. These days, I spend much of my time fostering dogs for a local rescue, helping them decompress, learn home life, and get ready for their forever families. With three personal dogs, I’m very comfortable managing a multi-dog household and all the different personalities that come with it. I’ve cared for everything from energetic, playful pups to seniors who prefer a cozy spot on the couch, as well as rescue dogs who need extra patience, structure, or time to feel comfortable. Fostering has taught me that there really isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to dogs. I pay close attention to body language, respect boundaries, make thoughtful introductions, and adjust my approach based on what each individual dog needs. I also know how hard it can be to leave your dog behind and wonder how they’re doing. You can expect daily updates from me, including plenty of photos and videos, so you can see how your dog is settling in and what they’ve been up to. My goal is to give your dog a safe, comfortable, fun place to stay—and give you the peace of mind that they’re with someone experienced, attentive, and who truly gets dogs. Pet care fits very naturally into my everyday life. I’m a stay-at-home mom to a middle schooler and work remotely part-time, which means I’m home quite a bit and have plenty of flexibility to give the animals in my care lots of attention, love, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and downtime. With three resident dogs—a 70 lb senior mix, a 2-year-old Boston Terrier, and a 1-year-old English Bulldog/French Bulldog mix—and all three started out as fosters who never left! I continue to foster regularly and work very closely with a local dog rescue, so welcoming another dog into our routine is something the dogs are very accustomed to. Dogs staying with us aren't spending the day alone waiting for someone to come home from work. I'm around throughout the day to keep an eye on everyone, accommodate individual routines, and provide plenty of attention (or a cozy place to nap, if that's more their speed!). Pet care is genuinely part of my everyday life, and I love it that way. Here, pets are treated like part of the family. My dogs are kennel trained, but they're also welcome throughout the home—including on the furniture and beds. I'm happy to follow your lead, though! If your dog sleeps in a crate, follows certain house rules, eats on a specific schedule, or isn't allowed on furniture at home, I'll do my best to keep their routine consistent. I live in a large apartment, so all outdoor time is supervised and on leash. I'm very comfortable with puppies and their extra needs, including frequent potty breaks, potty pads, crate training, and the general chaos that comes with puppyhood! I have extra crates that can accommodate dogs up to approximately 75–80 lbs, plus more dog beds and toys than any household probably needs. If your pet has food or environmental allergies, please let me know. I am very accustomed to managing allergies and am happy to follow specific instructions regarding food, treats, medications, or environmental triggers. Because your dog will share our home with my husband, middle-school-aged child, and our three resident dogs, dogs staying with us must be comfortable with older children, men, and other dogs. I take introductions and dog body language seriously and want every animal in the house—yours and mine—to feel safe and comfortable. While others do live in the home, I will be the caregiver for any other animals. For care in your home, I'll follow your lead. You know your pets and their routine best, and my goal is to keep things as familiar and consistent as possible while you're away. I'm also happy to care for more than just dogs during in-home visits—cats and other household pets are welcome, too! Whether your pet stays with us or I care for them in their own home, I'll treat their individual routine as exactly that: individual. Some pets want to be your shadow, some want nonstop playtime, and some would prefer that I serve dinner promptly and otherwise respect their personal space. I'm good with all three!

About: I’ve worked with dogs through volunteering at animal shelters for over 12 years. I have experience fostering dogs of all ages, and I am Fear Free certified. I don’t have a dog myself yet, so I’ll love and care for your pup as though they are my own! I work full-time, so I am outside of the home 8+ hours on weekdays. I can provide care in the morning before work and in the evening after work, and on weekends. I am available most holidays as well. I make sure to earn the trust of every animal I work with, which includes respecting their boundaries as we are getting to know each other. That being said, I’ll make sure your pet gets the food, exercise, and attention they need to feel safe and happy while you are away.

About: My pet-sitting experiences include looking after both cats and dogs day to day and for extended periods of time. When taking care of cats, I make sure they have clean water and food at all times; keep their environment clean; watch over them and see if they are healthy; and interact with them by playing with them on a daily basis. I also have experience caring for dogs of various sizes and energy levels. Making sure their fed, walked, groomed, and cleaning up any messes/ their environment. In addition always making sure they have access to clean drinking water and providing plenty of playtime and attention. I occasionally take care of a family friend’s dog who has arthritis. I help keep her comfortable through gentle massages, giving her medication as directed, and hand-feeding her when necessary. It goes without saying that I make sure that the pets receive proper meals and have clean water to drink. I also try to keep the house as clean as possible, including litter boxes for cats and any messes that may occur. I also observe the pets to ensure everything seems normal and they’re healthy. I believe that building trust with both pets and owners is essential, I’ll always provide them with updates and photographs about the current condition of the pets. I've had the privilege of caring for my 10-year-old dog, Splash, which has taught me the importance of patience, trust, and routine. In addition, in the past, I have had a few repeat clients that I saw weekly as well as additional as-needed clients. I have experience with drop-ins, walks, and house sitting for multiple days. I truly care about your dog’s well-being and will treat them like my own, providing a safe, loving, and playful environment! I have a full-time job with 1-2 work from home days depending on the week. I can be available in the morning, mid-day, afternoon, or evening on the weekends and certain week days. Happy to work with you to fit the needs of you and your pet:). In my home or your dog's home, I prioritize creating a comfortable and safe environment. I will stick to routines that your dog is familiar with (feeding times, walks, playtime, etc.) to keep them feeling secure. My goal is to ensure they feel loved and cared for, just like they would with their own family. I currently live in an apartment in downtown Madison, therefore I do not have a yard for your fur baby to play in. However, I have a handy mom van with me to take to any pre-approved parks or any other destinations that you and I would discuss!

About: I’ve always been involved in taking care of my pets growing up. I have learned that building trust with dogs is the most important to grow a great relationship! Recently moved here- I work from home majority of the day as a full time photographer, so I have lots of flexibility to walk dogs when other owners are at work which seems to be really nice! I do not have the right facility to care for your dog at my home, so I am going to stick to drop in visits and walks.

About: We are a family of four that wants to get a dog some day when our children are a bit older. We have two daughters aged 9 and 5. We love to do dog sitting so we can still enjoy a dog in our home. I am a high school teacher and my wife stays home 3 out of 5 days/week with our two young daughters. My wife grew up with Labradors and I grew up with Maltese and Terriers. We cannot wait to have our own dog again. Will your dog be the one to convince us of what type of dog we want for our family? We look forward to meeting you and treating your dog like they are part of our family! Because we do not currently have a dog and only take one dog at a time, your dog will be very well cared for and receive tons of attention and affection! **once in awhile, we may have two bookings that overlap slightly depending on pick-up/drop-off times, but if that happens we will communicate that with you! My wife is home Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with our daughters. On Mondays and Tuesdays, we are gone from 8:30-4:00. If that is too long of a period for your dog to go without a potty break please let us know! I am a teacher at Memorial highschool (just 5 mins from our home) and can easily come home during my lunch break for a quick dog walk! We have a fenced in yard for your dog to explore. Otherwise, we will let your dog roam anywhere in the house! If needed, we have baby gates and are able to section off parts of our home.

About: I have watched for and taken care of dogs for my whole life, including not only my own personal family dogs, but also for family members and friends. I have experience with big, medium, and small dogs. RN that is working in Madison, WI. I work from 7-3:30 and am willing to help out before and after my shifts. I do not work my RN job on the weekend besides for the occasional on-call shifts. I live in a very nice family neighborhood that is a great area to walk dogs. I have a car that is large enough to transport dogs if needed.
