My dog is quirky and has a couple special considerations. I feel 110% confident in Sally and the care she provides to my little guy. My dog had the best 1st day with her. He cuddled, played, napped, sunbathed, pottied, and barked. Sally texted me updates with pictures of him throughout the day, which brought me so much joy. He was sent home with a report card giving an overview of his day (love!!!!). It puts me at so much ease knowing he is taken care of like a special prince when I am not available for him. About: Hi! I’m Gussie — a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and needs. I’ve had animals my entire life, from bunnies and cats to big lovable dogs. Growing up, I cared for my white Lab, who had several medical issues. I took full responsibility for his care in high school — giving medication, monitoring his health, and making sure he felt loved and safe every day until he sadly passed. More recently, I adopted my golden retriever almost two years ago and trained him myself. He has a reliable recall, a strong sit and stay, and knows all the basic tricks. It’s been such a rewarding experience building that trust and communication together. These experiences have made me passionate about giving animals the same thoughtful care and love they bring into our lives. Whether your pet needs a high-energy playmate, a calm and comforting presence, or someone with experience giving medication, I’ll treat them with the same care and affection I’d want for my own. I believe animals are family, and I treat them that way. I’d love to meet you and your furry loved one soon! I live in a house with a fenced-in backyard in Nashville with my boyfriend and our golden retriever, Yadi! He’s a very sweet and social boy who gets along great with other dogs. I work from home, so I’m home the majority of the day and have a very flexible schedule. That means your pet will get lots of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day — they’ll rarely (if ever) be left alone. Your pet is welcome anywhere in our home, whether they like to curl up on the couch or sunbathe by the door. I’m happy to stick to any routines or rules they follow at home — whether that’s no furniture, special diets, or extra snuggles before bed. I can also send regular updates and plenty of pictures so you can relax while you’re away. Creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment is my top priority when caring for pets — whether they’re in my home or I’m visiting theirs. At my home, pets are welcomed into a calm, dog-friendly space with a fully fenced backyard and plenty of room to play or relax. I live with my boyfriend and our golden retriever, Yadi, who is very sweet and gets along well with other dogs. I work from home, so pets are rarely left alone and get plenty of attention throughout the day. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible and can accommodate crate training, feeding schedules, medication, or any special needs. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and routines — I know how important it is for pets to feel secure in their own environment. I stick to their normal walking routes, feeding schedules, and rules (whether they’re allowed on the couch or not!). I always aim to keep things stress-free and familiar so they can stay happy and relaxed while you’re away. Whether in my home or yours, I care for every pet as if they were my own — with kindness, patience, and attention to detail.

“His house is super convenient to my work so I'm able to drop him off/pick him up easily. Molloy got a good walk with Troy and seemed to have a great time.”

About: I began pet sitting as a child and am a true animal lover, especially when it comes to little dogs. I’m intentional, attentive, and determined to provide exceptional care! In college, I dog sat for several of my professors, two of which had dogs with special needs. I have experience with both puppies and seniors. My own senior dog recently crossed the rainbow bridge. Her care was rather intense the last 6 months of her life, but it gave me a special place in my heart for senior dogs. I adopted her as a puppy when I was 13, and she was my greatest joy! I taught her many many tricks and trained her myself, so I am very confident with puppies and young dogs as well. I miss having the love of a dog in my life but am not quite ready to adopt my next doggie, so let me pour all my love into yours! I work from home and love having a pup snuggled next to me! I am able to take long and frequent breaks to play with dogs, walk, go outside, etc! My schedule is very flexible. I have a fully fenced in back yard, minimal stairs(only 3 going off the deck into the yard) no other pets or children, lots of cozy nap spots. Safety is of utmost importance to me, and I can assure you that any dog in my care will be attended to closely at all times. I keep a tidy house with nothing dangerous in reach of a dog. My senior Yorkie recently passed, and I would love to spend time with some sweet dogs!

She took such good care of our puppy like she was her own. I highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for someone who will care for your dog as much as you do if not more! We Will definitely be using her next time We are in Nashville.”

About: I have had every animal you can imagine since I was a kid. Paws, hooves, claws or scales, animals have always been my passion. I have worked at as a vet tech full time and on the side since 2004 and worked at the Zoo for 16 years caring for a wide variety of animals during my time there. My boyfriend and I both work from home these days so one of us is always with the pups. I am experienced in grooming (bathing, shaving, brushing, nail trims and anal gland expression) and medication administration (oral and injections). I recently left my career and am looking to start a pet sitting business along with running my soap business full time. My boyfriend and I are both home all day and so your pups will always have us around to snuggle and play with. We have two Australian Shepherds, Paisley and Tucker, at our house. The yard is fully fenced in with a privacy fence and is completely secured. Tucker loves to burn off energy running around outside while Paisley is an older gal and doesn’t play as much anymore, so he loves to have friends to run with. Our dogs and the dogs in our care are never just left outside alone. One of us is always out there with them throwing a ball or just hanging out watching.
