About: I’m a lifetime animal lover, and get along terrifically well with dogs. My house is the go-to for friends and family needing a place for their pups to stay. I am retired with volunteer jobs part-time (2mornings), during the week. I’m never away from home for more than a few hours during which time my dog-friendly feline can either ignore your dog or keep them company. Im home the majority of the time. Cozy corner in my den for bed. Seems to be everyone’s favorite hangout. Living room has multiple Sunny-spots Several neighborhood walks a day and if dog and owner are willing, I go to Thompson’s field in Harwich where they can romp.
About: I've always had a furry friend and love all dogs. I've helped train working service dogs and worked in a puppy nursery caring for dog moms and their litters. I'm currently working part-time and have free time. I'm home all summer long and looking for ways to enjoy my day and do something I love to do. I have my own dog at home that is super friendly and live in a quiet neighborhood which is great for walks and meeting other people and their dogs.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs of all kinds—big, small, energetic, and everything in between! From Huskies to Pitbulls, I’m comfortable with every breed and always provide loving, respectful care. I work full-time during the week but am available for evening visits after 5:30 PM. Most Saturdays I’m available after 1:00 PM, and I’m fully available on Sundays. I’m very reliable and love keeping pet parents updated so you always feel comfortable and confident. While I don’t offer pet care in my own home, I’m happy to care for your pet(s) in the comfort of your home where they feel most safe and relaxed. I follow all care instructions closely and can accommodate feeding schedules, medications, litter box care, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m also available for overnight stays if needed.
“Karen made drop-in visits to care for my cat while I was on vacation. She came twice a day, early in the morning and again at dinnertime. She provided food, fresh water, changed the litter, and kept the areas clean. She also took away the used cans to recycle & took away the litter. The texts and photos were reassuring. I definitely recommend Karen. She was thorough and reliable.”

“Tracey is an amazing dog sitter! She did check ins on my two small dogs for a week while away on vacation and it couldn’t have been any better! She is very detailed and professional! I got updates three times a day with adorable pictures and exactly what went on during the check ins. My dogs loved her! They played and ate and seemed to really get into a nice routine with her which made me really relax and enjoy my vacation. She even stayed longer when she had the time. I will definitely be using her again in the future!”

About: With a lifelong passion for dogs, I bring years of dedicated pet care experience to ensure your furry companions thrive. As a proud owner of two happy, healthy rescue dogs, I understand the importance of love, patience, and a safe environment in fostering their well-being. Your pets are not just animals; they're family, and I'm here to provide the care and attention they deserve. I am currently taking some time off from the 9 to 5 grind so I have a great deal of flexibility and willingness to accommodate your schedule! I have a large fenced in yard and a very dog- friendly home complete with strategically placed baby gates for any canine guests requiring space from my fur-babies ❤️
About: I’ve been caring for dogs my whole life, always having one in my family and watching family and friends dogs. I spent my quarantine taking care of my very hyper and energetic puppy. I also care for family and friends dogs when they go out of town or need me too. I’m currently enrolled at UMass Amherst, where I am currently a Senior. I typically use time between or after classes for pet care and take advantage of the weekends. As an active individual, I would be able to take your dog out whenever they need to, as well as having a large backyard for them to play.
“I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Caitlin. I needed a last-minute drop in as our plans had suddenly changed and I’m so happy we chose Caitlin. She was responsive, flexible, prompt, and catered to about 14 special requests. She kept us updated during her entire stay and sent ADORABLE pictures and videos. If you’re looking for a responsible, kind, dog-loving person to help you out, look no further! Our dogs LOVED her, too!”

About: I’m a lifelong pet and dog lover with a 7 year-old female spayed lab, Ellie, of my own. I’ve cared for family, friends, and neighbor’s dogs for more than 25 years. My Ellie is very calm, friendly, highly socialised, and great with other dogs and children of all ages. I work from home and operate a licensed family daycare with success for more than 25 years. I have weekends off where I have plenty of time to take walks with my own dog and others. I am available for over night dog stays at that time also. My work area is separate, but I have a large fenced in yard with grass. My own dog plays with the children outside, but mostly stays upstairs when we are in. My Ellie often prefers the couch over her dog bed, and I’m fine with that. 😊 I have a completely fenced in backyard where the dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise, but are never outside alone. My dog Ellie loves playing with other dogs and has a portable ‘doggy pool’ when it’s hot and plenty of shade. If your dog enjoys the comfort of their crate or special bed, feel free to bring them along.Home also has central air to keep your fury ones cool. All drop off and pick ups has to be by 7PM
“Zuzana was fantastic with my high energy puppy! She was always punctual and great communicating about her visit. My dog was always calm and relaxed when I returned home hours after her visit, and I could see he loved his walks with her.”

“On short notice, Chelsea recently took care of Cape Cod’s newest “wash-a-shore” cats, Humpty Dumpty & Red. Right from her initial visit, I knew that I had hired someone who was not only professional & knowledgeable, but was also passionate about caring for animals! My cats & I highly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking for an outstanding pet sitter!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 which is when I got my first puppy! Family and friends have always relied on me to walk, feed and play with their furry friends as they were away for work or vacation. During my senior year in high school, my senior project was dedicated to fight animal cruelty. For 9 months, I volunteered for an animal shelter where I used to play and take care of the dogs, as well as initiated fundraisers to help local shelters. I’m currently working full time from Monday-Friday, however I can accommodate my schedule to provide the best experience for you and your furry friend! I am available from Monday-Friday starting from 5pm for drop off visits or walks/play dates. I am also available on the weekends at any time. Care for your little friend will be provided according to client’s request/directions. Only on leash walks will be provided for the safety of your pet 🙂 If allowed, we can go for dog park visits and trail walks. Prior to our walks/drop in visits, I would love to set a time to meet you and your dog, so we can familiarize with each other and provide the most comfortable experience!
“Sharon was great! Our dogs were happy and safe when we got home. We were super grateful that she could accommodate our timing and for giving us local guidance on travel times. Sharon clearly loves dogs and is a true find!”

About: I have taken care of all kinds of dogs and cats my whole life. I have also managed a boarding kennel and doggy daycare where I worked for many years. I am available to walk your pup around your neighborhood and I am able to stop in and visit with your dog or cat whenever you need! I have experience caring for more than 25 dogs at once. I am very well trained in making sure dogs are having fun playing, while still be safe.
About: Growing up in Denmark, my family did training and grooming of dogs, as well as breeding Golden Retrievers (my mum introduced the breed to Denmark in the 1950s). We also had an English Mastiff and a Scottish Terrier. My love for animals led me to work for an animal welfare organization for nearly a decade, where I was involved in the rescue of dogs and cats from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, among many other projects. I travel a lot for work so I haven't had a dog for years and I miss that very much. I would love to help take care of your furry companion when you are in need of a dog sitter. I work from home for an nature conservation organization and am available most days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. I work from home and have quite a bit of flexibility in my day to go for walks. I prefer 3 walks a day myself, 15-30 min each! I have no dogs myself currently and can dog sit in your home (as long as there is reliable wifi), or take your dog to my house.

Laurie is amazing. I had no worries as she lovingly took care of my older Pekingese Miki. Laurie consistently communicated, and sent some very cute photos during her visits. I would give 10 stars if I could. You will feel comfortable and secure knowing your beloved pets are in her care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
