About: I’m a lifelong pet and dog lover with a 7 year-old female spayed lab, Ellie, of my own. I’ve cared for family, friends, and neighbor’s dogs for more than 25 years. My Ellie is very calm, friendly, highly socialised, and great with other dogs and children of all ages. I work from home and operate a licensed family daycare with success for more than 25 years. I have weekends off where I have plenty of time to take walks with my own dog and others. I am available for over night dog stays at that time also. My work area is separate, but I have a large fenced in yard with grass. My own dog plays with the children outside, but mostly stays upstairs when we are in. My Ellie often prefers the couch over her dog bed, and I’m fine with that. 😊 I have a completely fenced in backyard where the dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise, but are never outside alone. My dog Ellie loves playing with other dogs and has a portable ‘doggy pool’ when it’s hot and plenty of shade. If your dog enjoys the comfort of their crate or special bed, feel free to bring them along.Home also has central air to keep your fury ones cool.All drop off and pick ups has to be by 7PM

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life and career. I currently manage a veterinary hospital and have experience working alongside both general practice and emergency veterinary teams. As a pet parent to a nervous, reactive dog, I understand that every pet has unique needs and personalities. Whether your pet loves adventure, playtime, quiet companionship, or requires a little extra patience and understanding, I’ll make sure they receive attentive, compassionate care tailored to them. Currently working Full time and looking to do this as a side job. I would prefer dogs that are close to me to ensure I can do as many walks as possible. Working in the Vet Med field has taught me how incredibly important safety is. I follow the owner’s instructions to the tee and will put the pets safety as a top priority on all our walks.

About: Hi there! I'm Ellyn. I have a magnetic, intuitive connection with animals that seems to form the moment we meet. During a recent backpacking trip in the Grayson Highlands, I had an experience that perfectly illustrates this: a fellow hiker’s black lab approached me with such immediate, heartfelt recognition that the owner was completely taken aback. It felt as though we were long-lost companions reuniting. She came rushing to me, whining and crying with pure joy, and when I came down to her level, she immediately laid on me, whimpering and cuddling. 🥹 This is the energy I bring to every interaction. While I began my journey as a pet sitter years ago while living in California, I am now returning to this work with a deeper perspective. Jokes aside, your pets routine and health/safety are what I’m here to maintain — I’ll communicate, play, chat while I give them meds wrapped in peanut butter — you name it, I am paying attention to them. I am in it for the quality animal time! I spent my childhood with horses and learned young how deeply connected we are to our animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life until lately. I’d be delighted to meet some of you here on Cape to watch over your little ones! I work full time and am available for dog walks reliably all weekend and after work. I accept weekend dog boarding. Cat boarding I accept throughout the week in addition to weekends. The animal comes first, simple as that. I offer dog walks around Cape, in home visits to feed and play in the yard, and selective boarding of pups in my own home as that’s limited to weekends only. About: I am entering my senior year at the University of Rhode Island, earning a degree in animal science, specializing in zoo and aquarium animal science with a focus on behavior and training. The classes I have taken at the university focus on animal biology, care, management, and behavior. I have had many animal care experiences ranging from cats and dogs, aquatic species at the Mystic Aquarium, and most recently caring for a geriatric elephant (so large dogs don’t scare me :))! Throughout my life I have had many pets from cats and dogs, to small mammals and reptiles. I have also had some experience training various animals, such as cats, chickens, bears and elephants! I have the basic skills to train using operant conditioning and positive reinforcement. I am working a part time summer job at a restaurant mostly working at night. I am available to do drop in visits throughout the day. I will not be able to take your pets into my home because I have pets of my own. I have the patience for puppy care and consistency needed to help them learn life skills like house training. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I enjoy staying active, organized, and spending time with animals. I make time throughout the day for walks, feeding schedules, playtime, bathroom breaks, and giving pets attention and companionship. I’m able to plan my schedule around a pet’s needs to make sure they receive consistent care, exercise, and supervision. About: A lifelong lover of animals of all kinds, I recently moved to the Cape with my 14 year old cat, Anya. I’ve had cats on and off my whole life, and for eleven wonderful years shared my life with a rabbit named Fiona. I have experience caring for special needs (Anya has IBD and Fiona was blind in her later years) and administering medications. I have enjoyed pet sitting for friends and neighbors, and am also a volunteer at a wildlife rescue where I help care for raptors, turtles, snakes, and an absolute queen of a porcupine. While I love dogs, I have less experience with them, so would be better fitted to smaller and/or calmer canines while I get some more experience under my belt. As an overprotective cat mom, I can assure you that I will care for your fur children as if they were my own, will follow your instructions to the letter, and will stay in communication with you so that you can enjoy your time away without worrying about your little ones. I’ve recently moved to the Cape and currently have lots of availability. I can currently not offer overnights, as I have my own fur child to care for, but would love to come for extended visits or walks! I will follow your instructions meticulously. I am used to caring for injured birds, so am extremely conscientious about making sure animals stay safe in their homes and on the leash.

About: I trained 3 service dogs for NEADS weekend puppy raiser program. All 3 dogs passed their service dog tests, 2 of them assist children with special needs and the other dog is a courthouse therapy dog. I also had a Bernese Mountain Dog for 10 years! Last year I volunteered at The Cat Connection in Boston where I cared for the shelter cats there. I am flexible on times to walk, but mornings and afternoons work best for me! Just let me know what time works best for you. I am comfortable dealing with any animal and will follow any special directions needed. Just let me know anything in particular about your animal or home that you'd like me to know.

About: I have been a dog owner of all different breeds since childhood. I'm also a dog walker for the local community and enjoy every minute of it.
