“Harriet’s place...Ryder Beach Farm is a great location for our Cape Cod vacation. Being border collies, we loved being around all the other animals...donkeys, chickens, geese, goats, cats and dogs. We were on vacation so we kept our herding to a minimum. Accommodations were excellent...comfortable places to lie down, plenty of things to chew on and an occasional walk on the beach that included a stick for each of us. About: I’m a lifetime animal lover, and get along terrifically well with dogs. My house is the go-to for friends and family needing a place for their pups to stay. I am retired with volunteer jobs part-time (2mornings), during the week. I’m never away from home for more than a few hours during which time my dog-friendly feline can either ignore your dog or keep them company. I’m home the majority of the time. Cozy corner in my den seems to be everyone’s favorite hangout and spot for their bed. The ilving room has multiple sunny spots for napping throughout the day. We will take several neighborhood walks a day and if dog and owner are willing, I go to Thompson’s field in Harwich where they can romp.

About: Dogs are pretty straightforward which I love. If they like or don’t like something they’ll let you know. More importantly is understanding their owners. Patience is key. You can get a dog to love you but to respect you is a different story. My full time job is 12:00-7:30pm. Days I dont work I’m 100% available to watch your pups all day if need be. I can take care of bathroom breaks at 11am and 7:30-8pm Pups that I care for get 110% of my attention. At the moment I’m available to take care of clients dogs within their homes. If it means overnights I’m more than happy to.

About: I have taken care of dogs my entire life. My family has always had multiple dogs in our home and a house isn’t a home without a dog. For years I have cared for friends and family dogs while they were either at work or vacation. Now that I am retired I have a lot more time to give helping others who need support to care for their dog. I am available all hours of the day and night. I can pick up dogs or they can be brought to my home. I am semi retired and this allows me lots of flexibility in my schedule. I have a fenced in yard that backs up to conservation land that I use to exercise my own dogs. If allowed by owner, walks on the beach at low tide is a favorite activity for our dogs. “Harriet’s place...Ryder Beach Farm is a great location for our Cape Cod vacation. Being border collies, we loved being around all the other animals...donkeys, chickens, geese, goats, cats and dogs. We were on vacation so we kept our herding to a minimum. Accommodations were excellent...comfortable places to lie down, plenty of things to chew on and an occasional walk on the beach that included a stick for each of us. About: I’m a lifetime animal lover, and get along terrifically well with dogs. My house is the go-to for friends and family needing a place for their pups to stay. I am retired with volunteer jobs part-time (2mornings), during the week. I’m never away from home for more than a few hours during which time my dog-friendly feline can either ignore your dog or keep them company. I’m home the majority of the time. Cozy corner in my den seems to be everyone’s favorite hangout and spot for their bed. The ilving room has multiple sunny spots for napping throughout the day. We will take several neighborhood walks a day and if dog and owner are willing, I go to Thompson’s field in Harwich where they can romp.
“Ollie had the best time! Katie and Jessie were patient as Ollie warmed up, they took him to the beach and on a boat ride. Overall they treated him like their own pet and Ollie seemed happy. They sent multiple photos each day and were very responsive. Great sitters!”
