About: Some people innately connect with animals. Maybe this cannot be taught or learned. Even those animals who "don't like anyone" like me. It's a gift. Perhaps they can tell I'm a gentle giant and it makes them feel safe and protected. Whether cat or dog or some other creatures, I will lavish affection and attention on them (if they're into that). Or simply let them call the shots until they're ready to warm up a bit more. As a large, fit dude, I can manage even the strongest dogs, but I'm nimble and delicate with the smaller ones and cats. It comes naturally, and your pets will sense it. Summertime affords more flexibility for me as a teacher. I do have another PT gig currently on Tuesdays & Thursdays in the afternoons. But I'm mostly available the other 5 days for now, and am willing to spend time with your pets before and after shifts on days I work. For many years, I've cared for dozens of friends' pets. She stayed with our two dogs Quincy who is 9 yrs old and deaf and Izzy who is one and has very bad anxiety. I've taken care of pets with medicinal needs such as diabetes, seizures and daily medication. If the dog is reactive, I will not take them out on walks for both mine and the animal’s safety. I will make sure that they have a clean litter box every night. Regardless of pet, I make sure they are fed on time with fresh water available. During a stay with us, your doggo will enjoy not only our attention but the company of our three sociable dogs, Coco, Osito, and Tulipan. We take our dogs on at least 2 walks/outings per day in addition to having multiple indoor play sessions. We have a large fenced park right across the street that is perfect for running, playing fetch, or just sniffing about offleash. We have lots of flexibility in our work schedules and we are at home fulltime. This means that your furbaby will have our supervision and care the entire day minus the occassional grocery or errand run. Coco and Ostio are both socialized and they are used to having other dogs join the pack. We live in a very safe and peaceful neighborhood in NW Vacaville with little traffic. This makes it an ideal place to go on leisurely walks with the dogs on one of the numerous trails nearby or take them across the way to the fenced park for some offleash time.
