“Kiet did an amazing job watching my fur babies!! He kept me updated the whole trip and I knew they were in great hands allowing me to actually enjoy my time away. Definitely recommend booking with him!”

About: I've been caring for animals for over 10 years and have three cats of my own, including one that's about to be 6 years old. I also previously had two dogs and have years of experience caring for family members' dogs while they're away on week-long vacations. In addition to caring for my own pets, I volunteer with a local cat rescue, where I've worked with cats of all ages and personalities. I'm comfortable feeding, walking, cleaning litter boxes, administering oral medications if needed, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. I'll treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I’m also available for sitting in households throughout the week/weekends! In addition, I can commute to Napa as I regularly go into town! I always follow each pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress while you're away. I'll make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks or clean litter boxes, and lots of love and attention. I'll also keep your home tidy, clean up after your pets, and follow any special instructions, including medications, feeding schedules, or house rules. I'm happy to send regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“Amazing house sitter! Extremely professional during the meet and great with Judy. Very communicative during our travels and she left our house cleaner than it was when we left.”

“This was our first time ever having someone outside of our family watch our dogs, so we were a little nervous—but Diyanna was amazing! She kept us updated several times a day, had great communication, and was so sweet. Our dogs absolutely loved her! We couldn’t be happier with the experience and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.”

“Karci did a great job! I loved her attention to detail in asking and carrying out what our dog's routine and needs were. This helped maintain her days with consistently. Highly recommend her service.”

About: I have had many different breeds and size of pets in my life since eight years old, I have cleaned up after or cleaned the pets and fed the pets. I am available Tuesday-Saturday most mornings to afternoon depending on the day. I attend Solano Community College and will be going twice a week. I also have a part-time job where I work 3-4 days a week. I currently don’t have my own pets due to living situation, but my partners family has four dogs and my parents have a dog that I have had the pleasure of playing with and caring for. I would love to take any dogs on walks or play with any pets
“So happy I have found Nicky! She’s definitely a keeper. Rocky was loved well and my home well taken care of. Nicky is very conscientious ~ always great communication and great pictures! Thanks so much Nicky!! You made this so easy!”

“Allyson did a great job with 2 dogs and cat :) my smaller dog is particular about who he likes and he warmed up to her right away. She also did a great job with my older girl who takes a few medications and has some incontinence. Thanks, Allyson!”

“Dan and Haruka Did an amazing job I’m watching our two cocker spaniels over a full weekend staying at our house. Our doggies got along splendidly with them and they were reliable and efficient. Sending us photos each day.”

“This is now my 3rd booking with Kristen. She’s extremely professional, good with my crazy dog, and always has open communication and constant pictures. I never worry when Zuri is in her care. Thank you so much!”

“Amy did a great job with our very active 6 month old puppy. She sent daily photos and updates. She did everything that we outlined and was a pleasure to work with. I have already suggested her to friends. I would absolutely hire her again and feel very confident with her in my house. Thanks Amy!”

“This was our first time booking with Laila and we are so glad we did. She is truly an animal lover and we cannot thank her enough for taking such a good care of our two pups while we where out of town. One of them is a very sensitive dog, and Laila made sure to keep her busy, so she wouldn't miss us. Her daily updates were on point, as if she already knew them from before. Again, Thank you for giving us a peace of mind while away! we will for sure be using her services again.”

“We highly recommend Elenys for housesitting with a pup. She is a great communicator and cares a lot. When our dog needed a little extra attention while we were away, she was able to give him the time and comfort he needed.”

About: I've been the go-to sitter for my everyone in my circle of friends. I've been petsitting for 5 years. I've taken care of pets with medicinal needs such as diabetes, seizures and daily medication. I'm comfortable with most breeds; I've taken care of dogs as small as a Yorkshire Terrier to a dog as large as a Newfoundland. I work a 9-5 job, but if the home is close enough to where I work regularly, then i will stop by and check on the pets on my lunch. Outside of my work hours, I usually strive to keep their routines as close to their normal as possible. I typically send photos or updates throughout the day--either in the morning when we wake up and in the evening before bed--to provide the assurance mom and/or dad need for their babies. For cats, I typically make sure their litter boxes are cleaned out before bed, every night during my stay. To make sure the pets are comfortable with me, I usually like to request to see the pets a week before I am scheduled to watch them. For dogs: I will ask for the dog to be spayed or neutered. If the dog is reactive, I will not take them out on walks for both mine and the animal’s safety. However, like my own pet, I will designate a play time to help expend energy in the safety & familiarity of the home. For cats: it's really whatever the cat is comfortable with. I will make sure that they have a clean litter box every night. Regardless of pet, I make sure they are fed on time with fresh water available. To ensure a stress-free time while mom and/or dad are away, I am willing to adapt to cater to the pet's comfortability.

About: I have 7 years of experience dog sitting, providing dependable and loving care for dogs of all ages and temperaments. I’m comfortable working with young puppies who need extra attention, patience, and training reinforcement, as well as adult dogs, including those that are spayed or neutered. I focus on keeping pets safe, happy, and on their normal routines, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or simply giving them companionship. I treat every dog like my own and always make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine since I’m currently unemployed and have a flexible schedule while I look for work. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to each pet, including morning, midday, and evening care. I can easily adapt to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific needs, making sure pets stay comfortable and on their normal routine I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment in both my home and clients’ homes. I have two friendly dogs—a Golden Retriever and a Golden Lab mix—and ensure all pets are introduced safely and supervised. Pets in my care receive regular walks, playtime, and stay on their normal routines. In clients’ homes, I follow all instructions closely, keep the space secure and clean, and provide updates so owners feel confident their pets are well cared for.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cannon
Sarah was wonderful when watching my senior cat, George. I was super nervous about leaving my cat alone for a few days but Sarah provided George with so much companionship and love. It made me feel so much better about going on my trip. And I know George appreciated the comfort with Sarah there. Thank you so much!

Shawna was FANTASTIC. I cannot say enough great things about her, she did same day booking with only a few hours notice. My pups loved her and I hope she comes back to dog sit for us soon! She also sent multiple updates and pictures of them during her time with them. An absolute gem!

Leaving your fur family behind is always a bit stressful, but Grace made it completely worry-free. She has such a natural, kind energy that our three dogs picked up on immediately. Usually, when we return home from a trip, our pups are practically climbing over us in a frantic greeting. This time? They were so relaxed and content that I’m honestly convinced they were a little disappointed to see us walk through the door instead of her! It is such a gift to find a sitter who doesn't just "watch" your pets, but truly connects with them. Grace is kind, attentive, and clearly has a huge heart for animals. If you are looking for someone who will treat your dogs like her own, look no further. We will definitely be booking with her again!

My husband and I both needed to be out of town unexpectedly. We had a new puppy and I was unsure what to do for her. We found Rover and I’m so incredibly grateful we found Haven! She was absolutely wonderful. She stayed with Ruby and not once did I worry. Haven sent updates on Ruby’s daily activities and took excellent care of her. She was kind and very professional. I love knowing we have someone so capable who can come be with our fur baby. I will certainly call upon Haven in the future.

Morgan was a fantastic choice! Even with a short notice booking she made time to come meet our pets before hand. We returned to happy pets and a tidy home. Communication was top notch. We received updates and photos regularly. Morgan was also quick to respond when we would reach out to her. Highly recommend!

Aniyah was absolutely amazing with our puppy! I really can’t say enough good things. She gave us so much peace of mind during our first trip away from our little boy. He stayed with her for a week and was happy as can be. I received several updates including pictures and video every day. She was so communicative and I took so much comfort in knowing that he was well cared for and safe! We will definitely be using her service again. Your pup will be in great hands!
Lindsey cared for our mini Aussie for 7 days while we went on a trip. She was amazing with her. Took her on 3 walks a day, played with her around the house & kept her on the feeding schedule we asked for. Did everything we asked for and more. Also very responsive & sent text & picture updates throughout the day. She also cleaned out home the day of our arrival so it was amazing getting home to a clean house. Thank you so much Lindsey! 💕

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cannon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cannon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cannon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
