“Shanley really went above and beyond while watching our two dogs! She stayed at our home and treated our dogs so well. With a 4 month puppy and an elder dog on medication three times a day, there was a lot to keep track of, yet Shanley made sure they were taken care of every day. She even provided message updates and some videos throughout our trip! All of our anxiety washed away knowing our pups were being cared for by Shanley. I will definitely be reaching out for future trips. Oh, and, our house was left spotless. Everything cleaned, more than we could have ever asked!”

“Ellen was amazing! She stayed with our 2 large girls for 12 days and took amazing care of them. She was very communicative on any day to day activities, changes, she kept us very informed. She left our home spotless and even did some cleaning for us so our return home was smoother. Would definitely book with her again!”

“Rocelyn did a great job sitting our rescue dog. He is scared of most people but Rocelyn was able to quickly gain his trust. It gave us such peace of mind to read her updates and know that our pets were cared for.”
“Harry is absolutely amazing with my dogs and I cannot book him enough. My pets are happy and calm and I am super calm being able to leave him with my fur family and my home. He is overly communicative and flexible.”

About: I’ve a cat for 21 years, he has been my soulmate for many years and my passion of taking care animals off because of him. After he has gone, I started taking care dogs for my friends during their travelling since last year. Walking, feeding, playing are my daily routine and I enjoyed a lot, also reminds me about the happy time with my cat. I’m currently working wfh during night shift so I can take care pets most of the time. Day time is preferred. I am very flexible in schedule and able to feed, walk and play with pets. I will follow strictly on clients schedule and arrange all activities accordingly. I am a very responsible person and able to do handle different situations. I’ll do updates and send photos to clients to ensure they won’t feel worried about their pets during their vacations.

“Allyson did a great job with 2 dogs and cat :) my smaller dog is particular about who he likes and he warmed up to her right away. She also did a great job with my older girl who takes a few medications and has some incontinence. Thanks, Allyson!”

“Leaving your fur family behind is always a bit stressful, but Grace made it completely worry-free. She has such a natural, kind energy that our three dogs picked up on immediately. Usually, when we return home from a trip, our pups are practically climbing over us in a frantic greeting. This time? They were so relaxed and content that I’m honestly convinced they were a little disappointed to see us walk through the door instead of her! It is such a gift to find a sitter who doesn't just "watch" your pets, but truly connects with them. Grace is kind, attentive, and clearly has a huge heart for animals. If you are looking for someone who will treat your dogs like her own, look no further. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: My own pup crossed the rainbow bridge not long ago, so I’m looking to pass on the love to any and all pups! She lived to 13 years old so senior dogs have a special place in my heart, but I also raised her from a puppy so I’m comfortable with all ages. I’m a stay-at-home wife with no children and no pets currently. My husband is in the Air Force so I’m looking to find ways to spend my time during the days. My schedule is fairly open! I have a fenced backyard with a good amount of space and live in a nice quiet neighborhood. I am willing to make as many accommodations as needed, and am really open to whatever is needed. I prefer to only host one household at a time, but will occasionally be open to overlapping bookings if only by a day or two, and all parties are comfortable with it. Please don’t be afraid to let me know your preferences as well.
“Nicky was an absolute pleasure to work with, she was very responsive. Came to meet my girls before sitting for them. They were very happy and comfortable, which is a must for me. I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation because I knew they were in good hands. There were even a few situations that came up, not due to her, but she handled it perfect even though she could not get a hold of me ( I was on a cruise ). Not only did she take good care of my dogs but also took good care of my house. She cleaned and did laundry/dishes. I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much Nicky !”

“Ryan is awesome, she took in a newly rescued Pit Bul and took care of it in my home over the holidays She is considerate, conscientious and understands dogs. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”
“Laila was fantastic! She was reliable, communicative, and kept us updated throughout her stay, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from her updates and photos that she genuinely enjoyed spending time with our pup, and our dog looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We came home to a content dog and a great overall experience. We’d gladly book with Laila again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.”

“Sabrina was such a love! She and our dog bonded from the start at our meet and greet. She said as fantastic at responding to my messages while we were away for 5 days. She went over the top with offering to come and go between our two houses so our dog would feel secure. The house was left immaculate and our dog was so happy when we got home and almost seemed to say “I missed you, but I had fun!”. Sabrina’s children loved our guy which was an added bonus. I will be hiring Sabrina again for sure!”

About: Hi! I'm Heather Rae, a dependable, compassionate animal lover based in Vacaville and serving surrounding communities. Animals have always been a grounding part of my life. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routines, and comfort level, and I take the time to earn their trust while giving them the attention they deserve. Whether your pet loves long walks, 🎶 pinã coladas🍍, quiet companionship, playtime, or simply sticking to their daily routine, I'll care for them as if they were my own. I'm patient with senior pets, attentive to details like medications and feeding schedules, and happy to send regular photo and video updates so you can travel with peace of mind. I'm an active person who enjoys being outdoors, so energetic dogs get plenty of exercise, while older pets receive gentle, patient care at their own pace. Professionally, I've spent years working in clients' homes as a freelance makeup artist and personal assistant, where reliability, cleanliness, discretion, and respect for people's homes are essential. I bring those same qualities to every house-sitting and pet-care visit. My goal is simple: for you to come home to a happy pet and a home that's exactly as you left it. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family! My schedule is flexible, which allows me to work around your pet's routine rather than the other way around. Whether it's early morning walks, midday check-ins, evening cuddles, or overnight stays, I'm happy to help. I also understand that plans can change, so I'll do my best to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible. I know inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big deal. I'll treat both with the same care and respect I would my own. I'll follow your routines closely, keep doors and gates secure, clean up after myself (and your pet!), and make sure your furry family member gets plenty of love, exercise, and attention. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing they're happy and in good hands.
“Alexis was absolutely phenomenal. We have two dogs — one puppy and one senior dog on medication — and she handled both with total confidence and care. She sent updates three times a day (morning, afternoon, and night), each with photos and videos so we could actually see that everything matched what she was telling us. We never had to ask for information — she proactively told us when medications were given, when the dogs were fed, and what they were up to. That kind of communication is rare and made being away so much easier. She walked the dogs daily — sometimes multiple times a day depending on what they needed — played with them, gave them plenty of attention, and followed our instructions to a T. Any time she had a question, she asked — no guessing, no assumptions. Our house was spotless when we returned, and she even kept up with poop pickup in the yard. Both dogs were happy and well cared for. We will 100% be booking Alexis again without hesitation.”

“We highly recommend Elenys for housesitting with a pup. She is a great communicator and cares a lot. When our dog needed a little extra attention while we were away, she was able to give him the time and comfort he needed.”

“Ori is fabulous! She kept us updated everyday with pictures of our boys and we felt so at ease knowing she was there at our home with them. Will absolutely be reaching out to her again!”

My husband and I both needed to be out of town unexpectedly. We had a new puppy and I was unsure what to do for her. We found Rover and I’m so incredibly grateful we found Haven! She was absolutely wonderful. She stayed with Ruby and not once did I worry. Haven sent updates on Ruby’s daily activities and took excellent care of her. She was kind and very professional. I love knowing we have someone so capable who can come be with our fur baby. I will certainly call upon Haven in the future.

Lindsey cared for our mini Aussie for 7 days while we went on a trip. She was amazing with her. Took her on 3 walks a day, played with her around the house & kept her on the feeding schedule we asked for. Did everything we asked for and more. Also very responsive & sent text & picture updates throughout the day. She also cleaned out home the day of our arrival so it was amazing getting home to a clean house. Thank you so much Lindsey! 💕

As of September 2026, there are 2,186 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cordero Junction. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cordero Junction walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cordero Junction maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cordero Junction choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cordero Junction. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
