About: I've been caring for animals for over 10 years and have three cats of my own, including one that's about to be 6 years old. I also previously had two dogs and have years of experience caring for family members' dogs while they're away on week-long vacations. In addition to caring for my own pets, I volunteer with a local cat rescue, where I've worked with cats of all ages and personalities. I'm comfortable feeding, walking, cleaning litter boxes, administering oral medications if needed, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. I'll treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I’m also available for sitting in households throughout the week/weekends! In addition, I can commute to Napa as I regularly go into town! I always follow each pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress while you're away. I'll make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks or clean litter boxes, and lots of love and attention. I'll also keep your home tidy, clean up after your pets, and follow any special instructions, including medications, feeding schedules, or house rules. I'm happy to send regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“Ellen was detail oriented for our high maintenance girls. She was very attentive to their needs as well as our own. She was very flexible and literally saved our vacation by being available last minute to watch our dogs for a week. We got home from a long travel day to a clean home, and fresh sheets which was the cherry on top. We cannot recommend Ellen enough.”

“Kiet was a HUGE lifesaver, and came in to save the day last minute. Our older pup has been having some anxiety following the 4th of July festivities, and I couldn’t leave him alone while I went to work. That’s where Kiet comes in—he was able to hang out with my anxious senior pup while I was at work and I couldn’t be happier. Kiet was great with communication, and made sure all care notes for both pups were followed. Thank you Kiet for making sure Romeo (and Onyx) had some company these past few evenings.”

“Thank you again Nicky, we appreciate you. This was our second time having Nicky dog and house sit, she is very responsible and attentive, Chico's best friend while we are gone :) I highly recommend Nicky and will definitely request her for our next vacation.”

“Leaving your fur family behind is always a bit stressful, but Grace made it completely worry-free. She has such a natural, kind energy that our three dogs picked up on immediately. Usually, when we return home from a trip, our pups are practically climbing over us in a frantic greeting. This time? They were so relaxed and content that I’m honestly convinced they were a little disappointed to see us walk through the door instead of her! It is such a gift to find a sitter who doesn't just "watch" your pets, but truly connects with them. Grace is kind, attentive, and clearly has a huge heart for animals. If you are looking for someone who will treat your dogs like her own, look no further. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I have had many different breeds and size of pets in my life since eight years old, I have cleaned up after or cleaned the pets and fed the pets. I am available Tuesday-Saturday most mornings to afternoon depending on the day. I attend Solano Community College and will be going twice a week. I also have a part-time job where I work 3-4 days a week. I currently don’t have my own pets due to living situation, but my partners family has four dogs and my parents have a dog that I have had the pleasure of playing with and caring for. I would love to take any dogs on walks or play with any pets

“Allyson did a great job with 2 dogs and cat :) my smaller dog is particular about who he likes and he warmed up to her right away. She also did a great job with my older girl who takes a few medications and has some incontinence. Thanks, Allyson!”

“Ashley is a fantastic, trustworthy, and detail-oriented pet sitter who will take excellent care of your home and pets. Moreover, my critters absolutely adored her! I will definitely be rebooking in the future. :)”

“Kristin is the best! She took such good care of our puppy while we were out of the country. He also needed medication and handled that with no problems. Highly recommend her and will definitely use Kristin again to watch our dog!”

“Karci did a great job! I loved her attention to detail in asking and carrying out what our dog's routine and needs were. This helped maintain her days with consistently. Highly recommend her service.”
“Amy stayed with our dog for 6 nights and took amazing care of him. I was very nervous leaving our dog for one of the first times longer term but by the end of the first day I knew I could relax knowing he was in good hands! Highly recommend and am grateful for all she did for our dog.”

About: I have a dog of my own who I absolutely adore, and spending time with animals has always brought me joy. I’m eager to expand my knowledge in animal care and love being around all kinds of pets—it’s truly where I feel most at home. I’m currently a college student and a baseball player at Solano community college. I’m available for dog walking in the early mornings until 11am, after 4:30pm on weekdays, and most weekends. I’m reliable, active, and love spending time with animals! I’ll make sure your pet is well-fed, has fresh water, and gets plenty of attention. Whether it’s walking, playing fetch, or just getting in their daily exercise, I’ll help keep your dog happy, healthy, and relaxed by the time they’re home.
“Harry is absolutely amazing with my dogs and I cannot book him enough. My pets are happy and calm and I am super calm being able to leave him with my fur family and my home. He is overly communicative and flexible.”

“Sabrina was such a love! She and our dog bonded from the start at our meet and greet. She said as fantastic at responding to my messages while we were away for 5 days. She went over the top with offering to come and go between our two houses so our dog would feel secure. The house was left immaculate and our dog was so happy when we got home and almost seemed to say “I missed you, but I had fun!”. Sabrina’s children loved our guy which was an added bonus. I will be hiring Sabrina again for sure!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I don’t think there was a year in my life where I did not have a dog to help take care of! I have taken care of small dogs, medium dogs, and big dogs! We also had a lot of other animals while I was growing up. I’ve taken care of birds, fish, reptiles, and even rabbits. So I am happy to take care of other pets as well if you have them and we can talk prices! Depending on the needs of your pets, I will form my schedule around taking care of them! As of right now this is my main job but as soon as I find another job this will become something I do on the side for a passion hobby. I will always start by asking the owner of the pets to explain their needs and wants before implying anything that I would do on my own. (Customer needs and wants come first) I have fun playing with the animals dogs and cats alike. So if they have favorite toys if I am house sitting then I will let them have fun with that! If I am walking dogs I tend to keep a steady pace so that the dogs get good healthy exercise.
“Jaquan did an amazing job with our two frenchies and left the home cleaner than when we left, with two happy puppies. We will definitely reach out to him again for our needs.”

About: I'm excited to meet new pets and their people! While I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for animals. I have over 20 years of professional experience caring for pets and homes, along with a lifetime of loving animals of my own. Animals have been part of my life since childhood. I've cared for dogs of every size, age, and personality, as well as cats, birds, and other small animals. I spent four years living in Hawaii with my own dog, cat, and bird, and have cared for pets throughout the Bay Area, including Marin, San Francisco, Oakland, Contra Costa, and Napa. I'm an outdoor enthusiast who loves mountain biking, hiking, camping, and exploring nature. If your dog enjoys adventure and you're comfortable with it, I'm happy to include longer walks or outdoor adventures tailored to their energy level. I enjoy keeping active dogs both physically and mentally engaged, while always respecting each pet's individual needs and routine. During COVID, while my massage therapy practice was on pause, I got a certification in canine massage, deepening my understanding of canine anatomy, mobility, and comfort. This experience has been especially valuable when caring for senior dogs, anxious pets, and those who benefit from right amount of exercise and a calm, gentle touch. Every pet is different, and I take pride in carefully following your instructions so they feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your beloved companion is receiving attentive, experienced care. I've always believed animals are some of life's greatest gifts. To me, they are like guardian angels on Earth. They teach us unconditional love, presence, and joy. It's a privilege to earn their trust and care for them as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life. I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan my work around the pets I'm caring for whenever possible. I intentionally limit my commitments so I can provide each pet with the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or simply keeping their normal routine, I'm happy to adapt my schedule to meet their needs. I understand that consistency helps pets feel safe and comfortable while you're away, and I strive to make their time with me feel as familiar and stress-free as possible. Clear communication is important to me, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, loved, and well cared for. Every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and preferences before you leave. I carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, favorite walking routes, sleeping arrangements, and any special needs to help your pet feel safe and comfortable. Whether your companion enjoys long walks and outdoor adventures, playtime, enrichment activities, or simply relaxing on the couch, I tailor my care to what makes them happiest. I believe consistency and patience help pets feel secure while their family is away.
“Luna is a total pro! My dog loved her and she gave me regular updates. She kept my place in great order and was a dream houseguest. You can trust Luna to take good care of your fur baby. I’ll definitely book her again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 2,336 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Denverton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Denverton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Denverton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Denverton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
