“Thank you Ella for taking care of Kenichi! She was available for the holidays and I thank her that she was able to extend her stay when we had medical emergency. Also, she cleaned the house and took care of Kenichi like her own. I wish to work with her again in the future!”

“This was our first time booking with Laila and we are so glad we did. She is truly an animal lover and we cannot thank her enough for taking such a good care of our two pups while we where out of town. One of them is a very sensitive dog, and Laila made sure to keep her busy, so she wouldn't miss us. Her daily updates were on point, as if she already knew them from before. Again, Thank you for giving us a peace of mind while away! we will for sure be using her services again.”

“Leyda was absolutely AMAZING with Roscoe!!! She quickly became Roscoe’s best friend over the past two days and took such incredible care of him. He was so happy and well-loved, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands!!! On top of that, she also kept my apartment in great shape, which I REALLY appreciate!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter thank you SO much, Leyda!!! I’ll definitely be booking you again!!!”

About: I've been caring for animals for over 10 years and have three cats of my own, including one that's about to be 6 years old. I also previously had two dogs and have years of experience caring for family members' dogs while they're away on week-long vacations. In addition to caring for my own pets, I volunteer with a local cat rescue, where I've worked with cats of all ages and personalities. I'm comfortable feeding, walking, cleaning litter boxes, administering oral medications if needed, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. I'll treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I’m also available for sitting in households throughout the week/weekends! In addition, I can commute to Napa as I regularly go into town! I always follow each pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress while you're away. I'll make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks or clean litter boxes, and lots of love and attention. I'll also keep your home tidy, clean up after your pets, and follow any special instructions, including medications, feeding schedules, or house rules. I'm happy to send regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“Kristin was amazing. We needed a sitter for the holidays and we’re having trouble finding someone who could stick to their commitment. Kristin agreed on dates to house/dog sit for us and stuck to it! When we returned home, I could immediately tell our dogs had a great time with her and were very well cared for. We have a couple of dogs that are needy and nervous and Kristin handled them very well. Our house was left in great shape when the job was done. We’ve had house sitters that kind of leave use a mess when we get back. That was not the case with Kristin. We plan on reaching out to Kristin again next time we need a sitter!”

“Rocelyn was amazing! She took my last minute booking request and watched our dog for a few days and gave her constant attention and activity while keeping us updated with frequent pictures.”

“Allyson did a great job with 2 dogs and cat :) my smaller dog is particular about who he likes and he warmed up to her right away. She also did a great job with my older girl who takes a few medications and has some incontinence. Thanks, Allyson!”

“Karci did a great job! I loved her attention to detail in asking and carrying out what our dog's routine and needs were. This helped maintain her days with consistently. Highly recommend her service.”

About: I have had many different breeds and size of pets in my life since eight years old, I have cleaned up after or cleaned the pets and fed the pets. I am available Tuesday-Saturday most mornings to afternoon depending on the day. I attend Solano Community College and will be going twice a week. I also have a part-time job where I work 3-4 days a week. I currently don’t have my own pets due to living situation, but my partners family has four dogs and my parents have a dog that I have had the pleasure of playing with and caring for. I would love to take any dogs on walks or play with any pets

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 8 years old. Friends, coworkers and neighbors have all called me to watch their pets and walk them reliably for years. I work a normal 9-5 job Monday through Friday but have all the time and attention to give your pets walks afterward and remain free on weekends! I have a spacious backyard that is fenced off for play time and potty use with two friendly pets of my own. I can crate your pet if needed.
“Nicky was great! She took care of our 3 cats for a few days. She was understanding of their needs and schedule. She sent us pictures of them. She even got our shy kitty to come out and play! I will definitely be keeping her in mind when we need another pet sitter!”

“It’s always a pleasure to have Ashley pet sit - she’s communicative, responsible, and all of my animals love her. Actually, one of my cats might like her more than me. :) Zero hesitations rebooking in the future, and I highly recommend her!”

About: My own fur baby crossed the rainbow bridge not long ago, so I’m looking to pass on the love I gave (still give) her to any and all pups! I’m a stay-at-home wife with no children and no pets currently. My husband is in the Air Force so I’m looking to find ways to spend my time during the days. My schedule is 100% open! I have a fenced backyard and live in a nice quiet neighborhood that is PERFECT for walks. I am willing to make many accommodations as needed, and am really open to whatever is needed.
About: I have a dog of my own who I absolutely adore, and spending time with animals has always brought me joy. I’m eager to expand my knowledge in animal care and love being around all kinds of pets—it’s truly where I feel most at home. I’m reliable, active, and love spending time with animals! I’ll make sure your pet is well-fed, has fresh water, and gets plenty of attention. Whether it’s walking, playing fetch, or just getting in their daily exercise, I’ll help keep your dog happy, healthy, and relaxed by the time they’re home.
“Emily was amazing with our large senior dog, and was super respectful of our home while we were away for the weekend. She was great about keeping us updated and sending pictures. It’s really wonderful to know someone so reliable, consistent, and caring is watching our fur baby - it made all the difference during our vacation to have that peace of mind we had with Emily. I could tell Cormac was healthy and happy as could be when we returned.”

“Harry is absolutely amazing with my dogs and I cannot book him enough. My pets are happy and calm and I am super calm being able to leave him with my fur family and my home. He is overly communicative and flexible.”

“Katie is an exceptional pet sitter. We would 100 % recommend her. She asked good questions and listened well, taking the absolute best care of our dog Maeve. Kind hearted and knowledgeable, I wouldn’t hesitate to entrust any animal to her care. Well done Katie!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clima
Ellen was detail oriented for our high maintenance girls. She was very attentive to their needs as well as our own. She was very flexible and literally saved our vacation by being available last minute to watch our dogs for a week. We got home from a long travel day to a clean home, and fresh sheets which was the cherry on top. We cannot recommend Ellen enough.

Kristin did an amazing job not only watching Harley but also made sure we returned to a spotless home. She definitely goes above and beyond to ensure that Harley felt safe, secure and comfortable. It’s apparent that Kristin knows the importance of maintaining a calm and caring environment for our senior pet. Thank you so much Kristin!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Clima on Rover is $38.99 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,818 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Clima. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Clima walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Clima maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Clima choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clima. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
