About: I have taken care of animals since I was a teenager, starting with stray cats. I have had dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, hamsters, mice, and rats. I currently have birds and a cat. I work from home, and have ample time to take care of people's pets with my current schedule, especially on the weekends. I can also do overnight sittings. I will always follow the instructions of clients when taking care of pets at their homes. When taking care of pets at mine, I have the ability to crate them if needed, and give them space.

About: I have been dog-sitting since I was a child. Anytime my neighbors went out of town, they would ask me to take care of their dogs such as feeding them, playing with them, and taking them outside. One of them was a K-9. Since then I have volunteered at my local animal shelter, and I currently work with children who developmental disabilities such as autism. I’m currently working: Monday 3PM-6PM Tuesday 9AM-1PM, 3PM-6PM Thursday 9AM-1PM, 3PM-6PM Friday 2PM-5PM Saturday 9AM-12PM Any time not listed above is my availability. I have plenty of experience with dogs. I currently don’t have any of my own due to my household not allowing pets, but I grew up dog-sitting for my neighbors and have since volunteered at my local animal shelter.
“Courtney came over to visit our dog a week prior to walking. She’s super friendly, reliable, communicative, and awesome, and we are so excited to have her back to walk him!”

“Shawna is such an amazing dog walker! I am very particular on who is around/handles my dog and she has always gone above and beyond to make sure my dog is safe and happy! It’s such a huge piece of mind knowing that he’s is getting exercise while I’m at work. She always leaves the best reports for me to read after their walks 😊 Thank you Shawna for loving my dog as much as I do!”

About: Hello, my name is Allyson! Im a stay-home Wife, Part-time College Student and Full-Time Pet Parent. I’ve cared for a vast variety of animals since I was a child including dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians and poultry. I currently have (3) dogs, (2) chickens,(1) gecko, (1) dart frog, (3) hermit crabs, (2) millipedes and a bunch of stick bugs! As for the dogs, I have one puppy, one adult and one senior. Each dog was a former rescue with their own set of special needs, health issues and behavior challenges, in which I have diligently worked to improve over the years. With this said, I understand, pets can be time consuming and life gets busy… so let me help! Do you need help with feeding, potty breaks, socializing and/or playtime, message me to work out a care plan and I can ensure you I will give your animal the same love and care in which I give my own. Look forward to working with you!!! PS: I come with dog treats unless owner states otherwise. I’m a stay home wife / pet parents and part time student. My schedule is usually pretty open aside from Tuesdays and Thurdays when I have a morning and a night class. Additionally my morning are usually pretty busy caring for my own animals, so I prefer to do walks and check ins after 12pm, although I’m willing to make exceptions. I care for clients pets just as I would my own. I have pet set for a number of friends and family members, with no incident which can be shown my reviews. Additionally prior to my time as a college student , I was a property manager , so I have plenty of experience entering and exiting my tenants homes in a safe and responsible manner. I will often reach out to clients in the event of questions, comments, concerns and/or just notice anything out of the ordinary.
“I had a great experience with Jackson walking my dog, Maggy. He was reliable, communicative, and sensitive to her needs—especially as a senior dog. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was in such caring hands during the day. I look forward to booking him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker.”

“A wonderful update from Kristin, seemed well experienced so I trusted her to handle my reactive dog and she did fantastically. Knew just what to do when an issue came about and everyone was safe and secure. I will 100% book with Kristin again. Side note: the fact that my evil cat let her pet him is mind blowing in itself and would book her again just for that fact alone. Thank you so much Kristin for truly caring about my pups. They’ll see you again soon!”

“Ilse did great with Xena. She was attentive to Xena’s reaction to other dogs . She kept her under control and calm. Xena was happy to see Ilse when she came. She was on time and was needed for a week after I had hip surgery. Good job.”

“Breah is amazing!! She has come through in a pinch for me not once, but twice! She is kind, informative and the dogs love her. Our little dog can be picky with who he likes and even he loves her. She always sends a message when she is on her way and concludes each visit with a summary of how things went. I am so glad I found Breah! We will be booking her again and again :)”

“We had been let down by someone to take Hamz for a walk when I started my new job, we contacted Darlene and after a little chat we met up so Hamz could meet her and we could go over his specific medical issues. Hammy fell quick and hard for the wonderful Darlene and just a couple of days later she dropped in and took our baby boy for his lunch time walk, while seeing to his medical needs ahead of his operation. Hammy went for his operation on the Friday and Darlene asked to be updated over the weekend and rejoiced with us when he was doing so well. Darlene has been a wonderful addition to Hammys life and my husband and I can not thank her enough for the piece of mind she has given us. Thank you so much, you truly have made a wonderful difference to our lives.”

“Emma is very punctual, flexible with her schedule, and easy to communicate with. My dog is high energy and anxiety, she’s not trusting of new ppl and is very vocal. Two walks later, she’s Emma’s best friend. I appreciate Emma’s calm energy. She lets dogs go to her and doesn’t force any affection onto them while being attentive and sweet. She walks my dog twice a week and she will be boarding with her soon. Highly recommend.”

“Paulina was great very friendly and trustworthy! Murphy enjoyed his walks with Paulina. And her service helped when I had long commutes and work days in San Francisco. Thank you , Paulina! I highly recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Clima
First time Rocelyn has taken our dogs for a walk but she was confident even with one or ours who can be a bit skiddish around new people, it was not a problem for her. She took all 3 at the same time which can be a handful but she did so with confidence and skill. After 30min they all came back tired and read for a mid day nap. I would absolutely book Rocelyn again =)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
