About: Since I was 16 years old, I have cared for and pet sat for dogs. Over the last 20 years I’ve had two of my own dogs that I got when they were six weeks old. I believe a happy focused, dedicated puppy stage (with lots of treats) makes for a loving, caring obedient, joyful dog to be able to live their best life. A side note to add is I am a mother of 4 and I have two younger boys ages 13 and 11 who will be taking turns to attend with me during my visits as a teaching opportunity for more skills with different dogs. I am a stay at home mom with four kids. My children’s ages range from 22-11yrs. My stage of life provides for many opportunities to be able to share my time to help care for animals while providing moments to teach my children how to care for others. We have a large fenced yard, and are happy to also help with crating if needed. Daily walks and feedings are built into are routine. Having this same routine allows for us to easily help others with the same needs.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I don’t think there was a year in my life where I did not have a dog to help take care of! I have taken care of small dogs, medium dogs, and big dogs! We also had a lot of other animals while I was growing up. I’ve taken care of birds, fish, reptiles, and even rabbits. So I am happy to take care of other pets as well if you have them and we can talk prices! Depending on the needs of your pets, I will form my schedule around taking care of them! As of right now this is my main job but as soon as I find another job this will become something I do on the side for a passion hobby. I will always start by asking the owner of the pets to explain their needs and wants before implying anything that I would do on my own. (Customer needs and wants come first) I have fun playing with the animals dogs and cats alike. So if they have favorite toys if I am house sitting then I will let them have fun with that! If I am walking dogs I tend to keep a steady pace so that the dogs get good healthy exercise.

About: Some people innately connect with animals. Maybe this cannot be taught or learned. Even those animals who "don't like anyone" like me. It's a gift. Perhaps they can tell I'm a gentle giant and it makes them feel safe and protected. Whether cat or dog or some other creatures, I will lavish affection and attention on them (if they're into that). Or simply let them call the shots until they're ready to warm up a bit more. As a large, fit dude, I can manage even the strongest dogs, but I'm nimble and delicate with the smaller ones and cats. It comes naturally, and your pets will sense it. Summertime affords more flexibility for me as a teacher. I do have another PT gig currently on Tuesdays & Thursdays in the afternoons. But I'm mostly available the other 5 days for now, and am willing to spend time with your pets before and after shifts on days I work. For many years, I've cared for dozens of friends' pets. Long before Rover existed, I was a resident car provider in my community. Everyone knows I am reliable, professional, responsive, and flexible. Clean, sober, non-smoker.

About: I've been the go-to sitter for my everyone in my circle of friends. I've been petsitting for 5 years. I've taken care of pets with medicinal needs such as diabetes, seizures and daily medication. I'm comfortable with most breeds; I've taken care of dogs as small as a Yorkshire Terrier to a dog as large as a Newfoundland. I work a 9-5 job, but if the home is close enough to where I work regularly, then i will stop by and check on the pets on my lunch. Outside of my work hours, I usually strive to keep their routines as close to their normal as possible. I typically send photos or updates throughout the day--either in the morning when we wake up and in the evening before bed--to provide the assurance mom and/or dad need for their babies. For cats, I typically make sure their litter boxes are cleaned out before bed, every night during my stay. To make sure the pets are comfortable with me, I usually like to request to see the pets a week before I am scheduled to watch them. For dogs: I will ask for the dog to be spayed or neutered. If the dog is reactive, I will not take them out on walks for both mine and the animal’s safety. However, like my own pet, I will designate a play time to help expend energy in the safety & familiarity of the home. For cats: it's really whatever the cat is comfortable with. I will make sure that they have a clean litter box every night. Regardless of pet, I make sure they are fed on time with fresh water available. To ensure a stress-free time while mom and/or dad are away, I am willing to adapt to cater to the pet's comfortability.

About: Only taking walking or housesitting clients in DIXON, DAVIS, and VACAVILLE! I’ve always had a pet since I was 4 and I love animals. I currently have 3 dogs that I care for and love taking them on walks to parks. When it comes to your pets I will make sure everything they need will be taken care of, and send plenty of pics of them if you’d like! I currently work part-time, and currently looking to expand my streams of income to save up for my own place one day. My schedule is flexible and I will make whatever work! You tell me the fur babies' routine and schedule and that’s what we’re doing as best as I can—regarding my schedule + distance. If they take vitamins/pills in the morning, or 3x a day, just let me know, I’ve done it all! I understand pets can be extra on edge when their parents are away, so keeping things how they’re used to is important to me to help them feel as comfortable as possible.

About: My name is Destiny and I grew up caring for large and small dogs and cats. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens from birth through adulthood. As an adult, I continue to care for both cats and dogs, including adopted shelter cats and my own Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle. Both of my dogs are neutered, gentle and affectionate. My Standard Poodle loves to run and play and can be wonderfully bouncy, but he's also surprisingly nurturing and likes to make sure everyone is okay. My Labrador is basically Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh—a lovely potato who is particularly drawn to wee, scrappy dogs. I actively study canine behavior and learning. I train and participate in dog sports including obedience, scent work/nose work, agility, Barn Hunt and NASDA. I'm comfortable observing canine body language, following established training and management routines, providing enrichment, and adapting my approach to the individual dog. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy getting to know animals as individuals. I don't expect every dog or cat to immediately love me, and I don't force interaction. I believe comprehensive care starts with paying attention to what makes an animal feel safe, comfortable and understood. I work from home with a flexible schedule and control over my own hours, which gives me plenty of time to incorporate walks, play, enrichment, meals, potty breaks and companionship throughout the day. Our household is unusually quiet and relaxed. There are no children in the home, and my neighborhood is a peaceful residential area that's well suited to walks and downtime. Pets staying with me have opportunities for activity and engagement, but also plenty of time and space to settle, nap and simply relax. Because I'm home much of the day, pet care fits naturally into my routine rather than having to be squeezed in around a long commute or rigid work schedule. I believe pet care starts with understanding the *individual* animal. I take time to learn each pet's normal routine, temperament, preferences, training cues, feeding needs and anything that may make them uncomfortable or stressed. My approach is calm, patient and attentive. I don't force interactions, and I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior. I follow owners' established routines and management instructions carefully because consistency can make being away from home much easier for a pet. My home is clean, quiet, child-free and low-stress, in a peaceful residential neighborhood. I want visiting pets to have a comfortable place where they can play and engage when they want to, but can also settle and rest without constant activity, noise or disruption. When caring for pets in their own homes, I bring the same approach: respect the animal's familiar environment, follow the household's routines carefully, communicate reliably with the owner, and leave things exactly as I found them.
