About: My name is Destiny and I grew up caring for large and small dogs and cats. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens from birth through adulthood. As an adult, I continue to care for both cats and dogs, including adopted shelter cats and my own Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle. Both of my dogs are neutered, gentle and affectionate. My Standard Poodle loves to run and play and can be wonderfully bouncy, but he's also surprisingly nurturing and likes to make sure everyone is okay. My Labrador is basically Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh—a lovely potato who is particularly drawn to wee, scrappy dogs. I actively study canine behavior and learning. I train and participate in dog sports including obedience, scent work/nose work, agility, Barn Hunt and NASDA. I'm comfortable observing canine body language, following established training and management routines, providing enrichment, and adapting my approach to the individual dog. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy getting to know animals as individuals. I don't expect every dog or cat to immediately love me, and I don't force interaction. I believe comprehensive care starts with paying attention to what makes an animal feel safe, comfortable and understood. I work from home with a flexible schedule and control over my own hours, which gives me plenty of time to incorporate walks, play, enrichment, meals, potty breaks and companionship throughout the day. Our household is unusually quiet and relaxed. There are no children in the home, and my neighborhood is a peaceful residential area that's well suited to walks and downtime. Pets staying with me have opportunities for activity and engagement, but also plenty of time and space to settle, nap and simply relax. Because I'm home much of the day, pet care fits naturally into my routine rather than having to be squeezed in around a long commute or rigid work schedule. I believe pet care starts with understanding the *individual* animal. I take time to learn each pet's normal routine, temperament, preferences, training cues, feeding needs and anything that may make them uncomfortable or stressed. My approach is calm, patient and attentive. I don't force interactions, and I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior. I follow owners' established routines and management instructions carefully because consistency can make being away from home much easier for a pet. My home is clean, quiet, child-free and low-stress, in a peaceful residential neighborhood. I want visiting pets to have a comfortable place where they can play and engage when they want to, but can also settle and rest without constant activity, noise or disruption. When caring for pets in their own homes, I bring the same approach: respect the animal's familiar environment, follow the household's routines carefully, communicate reliably with the owner, and leave things exactly as I found them.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and I appreciate every minute I have with them and all animals. I’ve created my own dog walking business several years ago and gained lots of experience working with and observing the ways dogs function. I am currently Undergrad at UC Davis but use my free time to walk the dogs at Yolo County Animal Shelter. These days, I am working hard at school but appreciate the time I have with any animal! Besides the occasional study session or family vacation, I am free! I am comfortable crating, feeding, watering or walking any pets! About: I have cared for a wide range of animals since my childhood on a small family farm. I have bottle fed kittens to goats, trained puppies to ducks, and cared for little piglets to senior dogs. I also have some experience with medical procedures with dogs and cats, to farm animals. Experience with cats with diabetes, pets with blindness, deafness, and immobility. I enjoy caring for animals of all shapes and sizes and good care and enrichment is always my top priority! I like to check on my animals and animals I’m caring for a minimum of 3 times a day for 30 minutes each. With cats I like to spend time playing, setting up enrichment activities, and learning how they are most comfortable. With dogs I like to do a minimum of 3 walks a day followed by some of their favorite activities. I believe pets should be checked on morning, afternoon and evening at minimum. I like to follow the routine of the pets parents to a T so as to not disturb the pets while their families are gone. I think having a routine is important for a pet especially when their people/family are gone.

About: Since I was 16 years old, I have cared for and pet sat for dogs. Over the last 20 years I’ve had two of my own dogs that I got when they were six weeks old. I believe a happy focused, dedicated puppy stage (with lots of treats) makes for a loving, caring obedient, joyful dog to be able to live their best life. A side note to add is I am a mother of 4 and I have two younger boys ages 13 and 11 who will be taking turns to attend with me during my visits as a teaching opportunity for more skills with different dogs. I am a stay at home mom with four kids. My children’s ages range from 22-11yrs. My stage of life provides for many opportunities to be able to share my time to help care for animals while providing moments to teach my children how to care for others. We have a large fenced yard, and are happy to also help with crating if needed. Daily walks and feedings are built into are routine. Having this same routine allows for us to easily help others with the same needs.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life and genuinely love getting to know pets of all personalities, ages, and energy levels. I had my own dog, Boo, for 12 years and was responsible for her daily care, routines, and companionship throughout her life. Currently, I help with my roommate’s dog, Mavi, and have helped care for her for the past 3 years. I help make sure she is fed, walked, has fresh water, and of course gets plenty of cuddles and belly rubs. I’ve also pet sat for friends several times and have experience caring for dogs of different ages and temperaments. In high school, I regularly house sat and cared for animals for a family friend with a farm. Along with caring for their dogs and cats, I also helped look after their horses and goats. I currently work full time Monday through Friday from 8am–5pm, but I’m available to care for pets before and after work, during my lunch break, and much more flexibly on weekends. At this time, I plan to provide care in the client’s home, where pets are often most comfortable in their familiar environment. Ever since moving away from home I have missed the companionship of a great dog and dog sitting is the perfect gig! I have 12+ years experience taking care of dogs and cats and it remains my passion till this day. Qualified to care for pets with all kinds of medical/special needs . I cant wait to meet your furry family member! I recently graduated so I have much more free time for pet care. If I’m working I will be busy from 7am-6pm but happy to do walks/feedings/check-ins on my lunch and before and after my shift. Otherwise on my day offs I am pretty open, working on applications for vet school and crafting or going for a jog. I cannot currently host for boarding at my home, however I have a lot of experience pet sitting at clients homes.
