“Alisa has been a fabulous dog sitter and walker for my Kima girl. She’s 100% dependable and reliable. She’s great with sending photos and updates. She’s been very good with making sure that Kima has her booties on and isn’t walked too long on hot Phoenix days. I’ve always felt comfortable having her stay in my home while I’m away to care for Kima. I can’t rave enough about Alisa. I highly recommend her!”
“Martina is great! Our German Shepherd loves his walks with her and she is working great at getting our golden to warm up and go for walks, which might not ever happen but always appreciate the effort and initiative!!”

“Hanna was awesome! We had her watch our puppy three different times when we were in town for graduation weekend and she was amazing! It was so nice to leave knowing that Nugget was in good hands. I highly recommend Hanna!!!”

“Kelsi has been the perfect dog walker for my pup! I know my dog enjoys getting outside with Kelsi - on my busy days, she is a lifesaver. Kelsi has always been very communicative and responsive, as well. Highly recommend her if you are looking for genuine care for your pet.”

“Clare took excellent care of my dog while we were out of town on a trip! She was very responsive and took lots of pictures. She helped resolve an issue with our door lock jamming while we were gone, which we really appreciated. She even got our dog a new toy, which was so sweet! Would highly recommend her to anyone who wants excellent care and attention for their pet!”

“As always Allie is brilliant. We and our dog, Romoe have been lucky to have Allie take care of him. We very highly highly recommend her. We are always very confidant of the proper care and attention being administered. Cheers Allie :)”

“Taylor was great! She came over the day before to meet the doggies. Even though the times I originally requested were a little difficult for her schedule that day (it was last minute,) she did all she could to make it as close as possible- and ended up being there about the time I had requested anyway. I scheduled two visits in one day, and while I said the second visit only needed to be a feed and let out in the yard - she asked if they could still go for a walk. :) She was also very observant and noticed a small scratch on one of my dogs, sent a photo, and asked if I wanted her to treat it. I really appreciate all the attentiveness; and the above and beyond she provided for my babies. Most importantly, the dogs seemed to really like her too. :) We are already planning for her to return. Thank you!”

About: Hi there! I’m a third year vet student looking to help out local pet parents this summer. Because of my veterinary medical background, I am highly comfortable with everything from energetic pups and senior animals to administering medications and recognizing subtle behavioral needs. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping your pets happy, healthy, and safe while you're apart. As a veterinary student, my summer schedule is highly flexible. I am available for dog walks, drop in visits, and overnight pet sitting on weekends and weekdays. I provide expert care in your home. My veterinary training allows me to monitor health, manage strict dietary routines, safely administer medications, and understand both canine and feline body language to keep your pets safe and stress-free.
About: I’m a HUGE animal lover and have experience taking care of all sorts of animals, from dogs, to cats, spiders, bunnies, frogs, and more! I have six cats of my own and foster medically fragile/behaviorally challenged cats from the Humane Society. It brings me so much joy when I see a cat truly start to thrive again. Because of how long I’ve been caring for animals, I’m experienced in providing a wide variety of care. Your puppy is still crate training? I can help! Your senior four-legged friend needs medication? I can do it! Your socially awkward pet doesn’t like people? That’s okay! You have an animal that most people don’t know how to care for? I guarantee you that I do. Working with animals is such a fulfilling part of my life and that’s why I’ve been doing it so long! I work an incredibly flexible job, allowing me to spend quality time with your pets while you’re away. I work with my clients and around their schedules, making pet care as stress-free as possible! I usually care for pets in my client’s home, as my home is a bit of a zoo. I work hard to ensure we have trust and boundaries established so we both feel comfortable! One of the ways I do that is by doing a meet n greet beforehand. I love to get to know the pet parents and meet the pets before I start sitting.
About: Hi there, my name is Allie! Animals have always brought me joy and I love working with them. I worked at a local vet clinic for two years where I interacted with dogs and cats of all ages and breeds. I am certified level 1 in Fear Free handling of dogs and cats. I have former experience working at two local dog daycares. With my vet clinic experience, I also have a senior dog who takes different types of medication daily, and I am comfortable administering meds to your pet. I have pet sat multiple ages of animals in the past, from puppies needing additional breaks and training, to seniors who need a slower pace and medication. I am working part-time currently so I have open availability for your pet! I have all school district breaks off, so I will be open more during those times as well. In my experience with animals, I understand the importance of safety and comfort for your pets. I am a level 1 certified Fear Free pet handler, and I utilize those skills to ensure your pets safety and trust. It is my goal to treat your pet like my own, and give them the love, attention, and support they need.
“Donna is EXCELLENT with my dogs Charlie and Buddy. They're Maltese-Shih Tzu mixes, 7 and 3 years old, and they absolutely love her and they walks she takes them on. I've watched her with my boys and based on what I've seen, would highly recommend Donna to anyone looking for a walker with a great temperament and strong skills at dog handling.”

I am happy to work with you to find what works for us both! I do a lot of studying and reading which can be with your pets. This also means I need breaks and movement, which I can do in alignment with your pets schedules! I will follow the owners care instructions to a T on their do’s and don'ts! I also like to ask questions as needed to ensure your home, pets, and myself are safe and in tip top shape throughout!
About: my lifelong experience with dogs of all sizes and ages. I’ve had six dogs throughout my life, both big and small, so I’m very comfortable handling different temperaments, energy levels, and needs. I’ve cared for everything from playful puppies to older dogs who need extra patience and attention. I also bring a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility. As a college student studying accounting and the oldest sibling in my family, I’ve spent my life taking care of both dogs and kids. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely enjoy it and have the flexibility to make time for it. Taking care of animals doesn’t feel like a chore to me, it’s something I look forward to, and I’m happy to fit it into my day. If I’m staying overnight, I make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their home environment by keeping up with their regular schedule—feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions you leave. For daily check-ins, I’ll make sure your pet gets the care and companionship they need while you’re away, whether that’s a walk, potty break, fresh food and water, or just some playtime and love. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
