“Ximena did a terrific job watching our timid toy poodle while we were on vacation! Her small dogs were friendly to mine. She clearly explained how she would keep her safe and what the daily routine is at our meet n greet, and sent pics and updates every day. As an added bonus, she lives very close! Will definitely use her again!”

“Victoria took excellent care of our dogs for a week while we were on vacation. We were particularly relieved to find her since our dogs have some medical needs that complicate their care. She took it all in stride! The dogs took lots of walks and naps alongside her dog, and she made sure they felt like family.”

“Matt and Angel are wonderful. My golden has stayed with them a few times now and always has a great visit. Tons of photos and updates for me, tons of pets and treats for her. They go above and beyond (even cooking Rocky special meals on a visit when she had an upset stomach and sending her home with the extra.) Couldn’t recommend Matt and Angel more highly. Thanks!”
“Brock and Rachelle were very nice and easy to work with! The location in Rover/Apple Maps doesn’t show correctly, so I recommend using Google Maps to navigate :)”

“We were so nervous to leave Emmett for the 1st time. We knew a regular kennel wasn’t a right fit . Laura and her family took Emmett in and loved him like their own pup. We loved the frequent pictures for updates. Playing in the fenced in back yard. Sleeping at Laura’s feet while she worked and walk outsides .Laura had great communication the whole week. I will definitely be using her again. Thanks Laura for making this a great experience for us and Emmett.”

“Alicen took time to make sure humans and dogs felt comfortable and confident during the stay. She went above and beyond with communicating before and during my dogs’ stay with her and her pack. We felt she was exceedingly capable of handing all kinds of doggie dynamics and needs. Our dogs had a blast and made lots of camp friends! One of our dogs didn’t want to leave! We will book again with Alicen 100%.”

“By far the best experience I’ve had. My pup came back really happy and tired. He made a friend a long the way and Jennifer updated us with pictures everyday. We were gone for 6 days and she really eased our anxiety with updating us on how he was doing. I will definitely be booking with her again. Look no further!❤️”

“Once again, Mary did a great job for us boarding our Dobby on Thanksgiving day. We contacted her on Tuesday and she was able to accommodate us. We recommend Mary for boarding and will use her services again to board Dobby.”

“Ollie did great with Amanda. I had business in town and wanted to take him with me but he couldn’t stay where I was so this was a great solution. I will leave my baby with her again if I’m in the area.”

“Mooncake loves visiting Stephanie and her dogs! His tail never stops wagging once we arrive at her home. Thank you to Stephanie for taking wonderful care of him and giving him as many snuggles as his heart desires. He always has a blast running around with Auggie and friends.”

“This is the second time Luna has stayed with Macee. I can't give enough positive about Macee's care and treatment of Luna. Luna becomes part of Macee's home and activities. Macee follows routines and any special care with a few added pluses as she sees helpful. When I need someone to watch Luna, Macee is where I will go. I also know Luna would second this review.”

“Erin did a great job taking care of my puppy for the weekend! When I went to drop Lottie off she brought her dog down so that they could meet on neutral territory, which was really nice and during the weekend she text me updates and pics every day. I liked that she only took one pet at a time in addition to hers, that made me feel much safer leaving my puppy there. I would definitely recommend and use her services again!”

“Franklin had a good time with Cat & her family. He has mild separation anxiety and I was very happy to see how well he settled in via the pictures Cat provided. He was treated like a member of the family. Couldn’t be happier. Definitely will be a repeat customer!”

“This was our first stay with Jessica. Our dog had a great time at Jessica’s place! Jessica and family are really nice and were so good to Sasha—it’s the first time we’ve picked up Sasha from a trip and found her so relaxed and happy!”

“Haley was an outstanding host and our pup had the best time! She even made the dogs a Thanksgiving meal (dog-friendly of course) for the holiday. This truly was a 5-star experience.”

“Kelly and her husband are a treasure! They were so gracious about accepting a boarding request that was very last minute and they were even more gracious about my activity running late. Both the dogs were very well taken care of, even the senior one who is a bit spoiled at home! They were relaxed and content when they got picked up. I would absolutely make use of Kelly’s services again and would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone I know. It’s can be nerve racking to leave your dogs with someone you don’t know, but Kelly instantly had me completely at ease. Not only is she a good dog sitter but, perhaps more importantly, you can tell she’s a good person. Excellent, smooth experience! Thanks Kelly!!”

“Nicole was very welcoming and made our first experience with Rover a breeze. She would reach out with updates frequently. You could tell she really cared for our dogs by showing initiative and asking questions. We would definitely love to have Nicole watch our dogs again.”

“Donna was very helpful with my last minute request. She had time to invite me over so Kushito can meet her pack before the stay. She kept me updated with videos and pictures of him! She has an amazing outdoor space. He was very happy when I picked him up and I could tell he had a lot of fun during his stay!”

“Alisa was amazing! She took such good care of our cats, Zion & Milo. She gave us so much peace of mind on our vacation because we knew our fur babies were well taken care of. We would absolutely book Alisa again on our next vacation or weekend getaway.”

“Clayton was such a good sitter and extremely trustworthy. My scaredy cat loved him and cuddled with him everyday! I wouldn’t have been able to go get surgery without his help.”

“Dustin (and Jordan!) dropped in on our two pups this weekend and were great! They offered a meet and greet earlier in the week. Each time they came by, we received a summary of the visit and pictures of the dogs playing fetch, hanging on the couch, or chewing the bones we asked Dustin to give them one night. Dustin also brought in a package that arrived. We will definitely use them again next time!”

“Jessica was available on short notice to watch my cat. She was very friendly with me and him. She took notes on my instructions so I know Max was well taken care of. Sent me great daily summaries and pictures.”

“Abigail did a fantastic job of taking care of our 4 feline boys for a week. One of our guys has some special needs and she excelled in his care giving. You could tell from the photos and videos that the fur balls really appreciated her visits. Will definitely use her again when the need arises. Highly recommended.”

“Josie was wonderful and patient with my shy, senior cats. I appreciated her adaptability and willingness to handle some of my weirder requests without hesitation, like caring for my fish and refilling the salad bowl which is the only thing my cat will drink out of. Highly recommended!”

“Olivia did an excellent job on her drop in visits with Griffin filling in while his regular Rover person was out of town. And as an added bonus, she brought her dog along a few times for playtime!”

About: As a cat mom of three, I have 11 years of hands-on cat care experience with cats of different ages, personalities, and needs. Friends often trust me to care for their cats, and I always make sure to follow each cat’s routine closely while giving them patient, gentle, and attentive care.

About: Capable - since I started working at a veterinary clinic at age 15, many members of the community have reached out to me to care for their beloved animals and homes. Now that I am in veterinary school, I feel more confident than ever to provide well-rounded care for various types of animals. I have years of experience working at a bird boarding facility as well as caring for my own pet rabbits, Peachy and Cobbler. Compassionate - I understand that every animals is unique and requires special considerations. My hope is that pet parents will discuss with me any behavioral, medical, dietary, etc. goals that they have for their animals under my care. Thank you for considering me to care for you fur baby! To be transparent, I am busy during the school year and mostly hoping for summer work. My existing clients who are not on Rover are my priority, but I created this account to ultimately find work when I am doing veterinary externships outside of Missouri. That said, I am completely available to stay in your home, drop-in, or walk dogs during the weeks of July 6th and July 13th, 2026. Before being responsible for any animal, there are a number of questions I ask to feel comfortable with what all I will need to do to keep them safe and comfortable. I included a few example pages of the form I typically fill out while talking to pet parents prior to caring for their animals so that you know the types of things I like to know about. Of course, this information is species-dependent, and not every item will pertain to every individual.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Harg
“Due to a medical emergency, I had only 12 hours to schedule a first time visit. Donna was very understanding and affordable. I wasn't impressed by the neighborhood-until I saw her spacious yard. My beagle played the day away and slept the whole evening. Would happily use again.”

“Fawn absolutely LOVES going to Christine's. Her dog, Daisy and Fawn are good buddies. A big plus s that Christine plays with Fawn. Fawn loves balls and Christine mixes up the variety of balls. I swear, when Fawn goes inn Christine's house and finds all the toys she has set up for the day's play, Fawn turns back and looks at me with the biggest, wide eyes and SMILE, I have ever seen on a dog. I recommend Christine if you are looking for a great care giver for your little dog.”

“Caleb accepted our last minute booking and was very accommodating. We had a really early drop off and a late pickup and they had no issue with that. Curry had a great time with their family. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs daycare services!”

“Haley, I thank you and your family for welcoming Molly for a safe, fun day while I was away! Haley’s home doggie daycare was a wonderful experience for my dog. Haley provides a comfortable home environment, a great backyard, lots of playtime and interaction with other dogs and members of her family. Thanks again!”

“A great and safe home for your wee doggie. Ximena has two adorable and sweet doggies, a pug and a chihuahua. Ximena’s family are very friendly and helpful. You’ll feel like your doggie’s going to have a fun and safe day at Ximena’s house!”

“Great experience! Shannon and her husband are great and are obviously pet lovers! We have a nervous doggie and Shannon sent pics and updates. Will totally request them again!”

“Responded right away when I had a last minute need. Sent me photos and a video during the day. Place was very nice, clean, smelled good. She was friendly. My dog seemed to have a great time!”

“My first experience with Rover was supposed to be with a veteran wife and mother of two. Instead it was with a man in a house with blacked out windows and probably a healthy dose of Benadryl for my dog. Mercifully my second experience was with Elliot and was absolutely perfect! He invited me into his home, introduced me to his partner and sent me daily updates with photos. I didn’t even know this was an option! I will absolutely recommend him to everyone and use his services again. I can’t thank you enough for taking care of my dog!”

About: *due to my lovely regulars keeping me busy, I am unable to take new clients at this this time. You can still put in a request but I may not be able to take it. Thank you! I've had dogs my entire life and have taken care of neighbors/friends/professors dogs for years. I consider my dog my son and nothing is more important to me than making sure the dogs in my life and loved and well cared for. Since starting Rover spring 2022, I've watched over 100 dogs of many breeds and sizes, many of whom I've now watched multiple times and feel very bonded with. **** I am full for all repeating (i.e., weekly drop-ins/walks) requests currently. Feel free to still put in the request but depending on time, days, and your location, I will likely be unable to commit to repeat weekday services right now. I am also limiting housesitting mostly to past clients but you are welcome to still submit a request. I live in an apartment so I'm limiting services to dog walking, drop in visits, and housesitting for now. Flexible with times and lengths of these, however! I always make sure to set aside lots of time for pets and cuddles in all of my drop ins! I will also send lots of pictures and as many updates as you would like. I am a PhD student in psychology with generally flexible hours so I do best with dogs who can be left for 2-4 hours so I can attend classes and meetings. Depending on the day, I may not be able to do a midday individual drop-in or walk this semester but my weekend availability is wide open. For housesitting, it would be wonderful if it were a home where you would be okay with me bringing my (quiet, small, housetrained, 10 pound) dog with me so I don't have to leave him all night. Let me know if I should be aware of any household items your dog tends to eat, chew, or get into. Also let me know if there are any specific activities they especially enjoy - fetch, swimming, etc.
“Kevin & His wife are AWESOME! They have beautiful clean house, very specious for doggies. My special little beagle is so shy and fell in love with them and their little dog❤️ lots of communication ! Lots of pics! Great price! Overall I’m extremely satisfied ❤️ a new beginning to Milo’s better life 🙏 he will be returning 🐾🐕🦺 thank you Kevin🙏”

About: My home is a dog lover's dream — two friendly dogs already live here and are always ready to make new friends. We have a fully fenced backyard (please make sure your pets are on flea and tick medicine as ticks have been bad this year), loads of indestructible toys (thanks, BarkBox!), and an open-door policy between inside and out, so your pup can roam, play, and lounge whenever they please. I work from home full-time, which means your dog is never left alone — I'm always here. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, in the bed, wherever they're happiest. This is their vacation too. Whether your dog needs a playmate, a cozy couch to nap on, or both, they'll feel right at home. Pet care is genuinely woven into my day, not something I have to carve out time for. Since I work from home full-time, I'm always present — whether that's taking a mid-morning break to play in the backyard, keeping an eye on the pack while I'm at my desk, or just being available if anyone needs a cuddle or a quick romp outside. My own two dogs set the rhythm of the day — morning energy bursts, afternoon lounging, outdoor time whenever the mood strikes. Guest dogs just fold right into that routine. There's always someone to play with, always a sunny spot to nap in, and always a human nearby. My home is set up to be as dog-friendly as possible. The backyard is fully fenced, so dogs have safe, free access to outdoor space all day long — no leash required for backyard time. Inside, they're treated like family: furniture is fair game, the bed is open, and there are plenty of indestructible toys to keep them entertained. With two resident dogs already in the mix, guest dogs are never bored or lonely. There's always a playmate available, and I'm always nearby since I work from home full-time. I keep a close eye on group dynamics to make sure everyone is comfortable and playing nicely. I aim to keep routines as close to what your dog is used to as possible — feeding schedules, rest time, outdoor play — so the transition feels easy and low-stress for them. My goal is simple: your dog goes home happy, tired, and already looking forward to their next visit.
“Catlyn was fantastic. My sometimes nervous dog seemed comfortable because of how Catlyn eased her into the new environment. Kallie took her time to sniff everything in the house and yard but Catlyn’s easy attitude let Kallie feel comfortable exploring. Her dogs were sweet and Catlyn takes care to be sure all the dogs are getting along or if she needs to separate them. Her yard and home are lovely and she is too. I would recommend Catlyn as a great choice.”

“Jennifer and James were such a God-send when Spenser and I were getting married last week!! Our wedding venue allowed for our doggie to be present at the ceremony (she walked the aisle in a flower collar and pearl leash :)!) but not reception, and so we needed not only a dog sitter but one who would be willing to pick up our girl from the wedding venue! James was happy to do it, showed up right on time, and our Chewie happily went with! They sent us cute pics of our babygirl relaxing on their couch and playing in their backyard during the wedding reception. It really put us at ease. We've never had to turn to Rover for dog sitting, usually we have family do it (obviously not an option when the whole family and friend-crew is at the wedding), but now that we know how amazing James and Jennifer are, we are forever grateful and liable to ask for their help again! Thanks SO much!!”

About: My family has had cats ever since I was 12, I also rescued a goldendoodle 8 years ago and he has been my best friend ever since. I love all types of animals, and have experience with rabbits, horses, guinea pigs, and hamsters as well. I have been pet sitting and dog walking as a vet student for over a year now. I am a veterinary student in my clinical rotation years. I live in a duplex, meaning I have my own house with no roommates. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath. I can pet sit from your house if you have multiple pets and are gone for days or pet sit from my own place if you have just a cat or a smaller dog. I live in a duplex at the moment by myself without any pets, but I pet sit for friends a lot, driving over to their places to let the dogs out/walk them, feed the cats/dogs/fish and clean the litter boxes, make sure the water bowls are filled, etc.
About: I have a senior pet myself. She is a 15 year old shitzu that I trained (If you know about shitzus they can be very sassy/stubborn lol). I have also raised two of my cats from 6 weeks old. Both my dog and cats are very friendly and tolerable. My boyfriend is home most of the day. I am a waitress so I don’t go into work until 4 or later usually I get out at 9-10 but usually earlier. Besides that I am always home. I care for pets that I am watching just like I would my own! My apartment building has a big yard and i have many good pet friendly parks very close by. I have multiple dog toys, treats, and dog bed (but my dog is small) I also have multiple cat towers, scratchers, toys, and treats. My pets are feed 3x a day morning, noon, and night. My dog is walked at least 2x a day not including potty breaks.
About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with dogs and have never thought of them as “just pets”, they're family! I've raised both a Beagle and a French Bulldog from puppyhood and have experience caring for senior dogs as well. I love getting to know each dog's unique personality, whether they're energetic and playful or happy to spend the day snuggled up on the couch. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust when you're away. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and cared for while giving you peace of mind. I'm a stay-at-home mom and work from home, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pup attention, playtime, walks, and lots of love. Your dog's happiness and safety will always be my priority. We even have a separate room available for them who would feel more comfortable having their own quiet space while staying with us. My family recently moved to Missouri from Hawaii, where I had the opportunity to care for many wonderful dogs. I truly enjoy being around animals and would love to treat your furry family member like one of my own. For me, the pet care including my dog is the most priority in my life. I’m currently working as a freelance so my schedule is very flexible! I can definitely change my schedule to suit to your request, please feel free to let me know! I will pay my FULL attention to our dogs all the time, and if you have any requests I’d love to do anything you and your dog will love! Your pets' happiness and safety will always be my priority. We even have a separate room available for them who would feel more comfortable having their own quiet space while staying with us.

“Alisa has been a fabulous dog sitter and walker for my Kima girl. She’s 100% dependable and reliable. She’s great with sending photos and updates. She’s been very good with making sure that Kima has her booties on and isn’t walked too long on hot Phoenix days. I’ve always felt comfortable having her stay in my home while I’m away to care for Kima. I can’t rave enough about Alisa. I highly recommend her!”
“Kelsi has been the perfect dog walker for my pup! I know my dog enjoys getting outside with Kelsi - on my busy days, she is a lifesaver. Kelsi has always been very communicative and responsive, as well. Highly recommend her if you are looking for genuine care for your pet.”

“Jennifer does amazing with Flash and she oftentimes has her own leash and poop bags. She is also really flexible and oftentimes can take last minute walk requests which is truly helpful!”

“Martina is great! Our German Shepherd loves his walks with her and she is working great at getting our golden to warm up and go for walks, which might not ever happen but always appreciate the effort and initiative!!”

“Donna is EXCELLENT with my dogs Charlie and Buddy. They're Maltese-Shih Tzu mixes, 7 and 3 years old, and they absolutely love her and they walks she takes them on. I've watched her with my boys and based on what I've seen, would highly recommend Donna to anyone looking for a walker with a great temperament and strong skills at dog handling.”

“Taylor was great! She came over the day before to meet the doggies. Even though the times I originally requested were a little difficult for her schedule that day (it was last minute,) she did all she could to make it as close as possible- and ended up being there about the time I had requested anyway. I scheduled two visits in one day, and while I said the second visit only needed to be a feed and let out in the yard - she asked if they could still go for a walk. :) She was also very observant and noticed a small scratch on one of my dogs, sent a photo, and asked if I wanted her to treat it. I really appreciate all the attentiveness; and the above and beyond she provided for my babies. Most importantly, the dogs seemed to really like her too. :) We are already planning for her to return. Thank you!”

About: I’ve have cared for animals my entire life, including raising a dog when I was 13. I am also am a regular dog sitter for a family with an elderly dog so can handle any age group! I have potty trained dogs and cats, so I love the responsibility of teaching young animals new things. I am excited to meet all the animals in Columbia. I'm working as a waitress over the summer and I would love to be able to go for walks during the day since the restaurant is only open in the evenings! I could also sit over night if need be! I will always keep your animal safe and taken care of! I know how it is to have a pet be family, so I would treat other pets like my own!

“Hanna was awesome! We had her watch our puppy three different times when we were in town for graduation weekend and she was amazing! It was so nice to leave knowing that Nugget was in good hands. I highly recommend Hanna!!!”

Because of my veterinary medical background, I am highly comfortable with everything from energetic pups and senior animals to administering medications and recognizing subtle behavioral needs. I have a soft spot for power breeds and misunderstood dogs; though, we love dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have had dogs my entire life and have worked with dogs of all different sizes, breeds, and personalities. I have experience in basic training methods. I have experience working with multiple dogs, administering medication, and doing basic training work. Most special needs can be accommodated. Plus your dog will definitely receive lots of love from myself and the rest of the family. I currently work from home and have plenty of time to spend with your pups. I am available on weekdays and weekends for walks, drop in visits, and overnights I believe dogs require adequate exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation to truly thrive. I look to provide all three to my dog every day and can help provide them to your dog
About: My philosophy is to provide your pets care and attention as if they were my own. I have provided care for friends, family, and hired to walk, dog/house sit, check in etc. ranging from puppies through senior pets who might need extra care and support. I am accustomed to providing individualized care to multiple animals as specified by owners. I am currently in graduate school to be an occupational therapist! I am happy to work with you to find what works for us both! I do a lot of studying and reading which can be with your pets. This also means I need breaks and movement, which I can do in alignment with your pets schedules! I will follow the owners care instructions to a T on their do’s and don'ts! I also like to ask questions as needed to ensure your home, pets, and myself are safe and in tip top shape throughout!
About: My husband and I had been Rover users and hosts to many furry friends over the years and it was our favorite thing to do in our spare time. We have two fur babies at home, but we took a hiatus as we welcomed a human baby to the family! I’m excited to pick Rover back up— this time as a stay at home mom that loves to keep busy. That consists of lots of walks whenever we can, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to bring your pups along anytime! I’ll be available for dog walking most days and times throughout the week, so let me know how I can help! I offer dog walking during the week days currently and have a flexible schedule that allows me to be available regularly for you and your pup! If your pup pulls hard on a leash and is over 50lbs, please let me know so we can determine if we’re a good fit for each other. Most days, I bring my toddler along in a stroller and want to make sure I’m making this the best experience for any pup that we’re taking care of!
About: I’ve been around and caring for animals my entire life. At home, I have two high-energy Golden Retrievers, which has given me experience with pets that have different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. One of my Golden Retrievers has severe storm anxiety, so I’ve learned how to stay patient, recognize signs of stress, and help calm nervous animals in a safe and comforting way. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have been looking after my neighbors’ pets since I was young, gaining experience with feeding, walking, playing with, and providing attentive care for a variety of animals. My lifelong experience with pets has made me responsible, dependable, and genuinely passionate about animal care. I work a part time job at a car wash. I work 3-4 5 hour shifts a week either morning or afternoon, and I will always be off before 7! I have always taken pet safety very seriously. When caring for dogs, I never allow them outside without a leash or properly fitted harness unless they are in a secure, fenced-in area. I make it a priority to closely supervise pets whenever they are outdoors to ensure their safety. I am especially cautious with small breeds and always keep a watchful eye on them, particularly at night. I understand the importance of preventing accidents and creating a safe, secure environment where pets can be comfortable and protected.

“Donna was very helpful with my last minute request. She had time to invite me over so Kushito can meet her pack before the stay. She kept me updated with videos and pictures of him! She has an amazing outdoor space. He was very happy when I picked him up and I could tell he had a lot of fun during his stay!”

“Dani and Skye were wonderful dog sitters for our beagle, Jenny. We left Jenny with them for a week and they took great care of her. Dani texted us pictures and kept us updated on how Jenny was doing while staying with them. Dani and Skye both love animals and Jenny enjoyed being around their own dog and cat. We would highly recommend these two for anyone looking for a nurturing environment for a pet. Thanks so much!!”

About: I have training experience & trained my pup myself! We play, snuggle, walk, and continue to practice training every day! I love teaching my pup new tricks, and can do the same for yours! We are very happy & energetic in our home! My sweet Buster gets along with other animals very well! He's a sweetie! I make sure to do mentally stimulating activities and challenges for Buster! They're so good for dogs! I make them fun and rewarding! I can do that for your baby too! I work full-time. And when I come home, my attention is on my pup- getting his energy out and having fun! If your request is for house sitting, I would need to bring my dog along with me. I'm home all evenings and all weekends. On the weekend, especially, I'll be available to do all the caring for your sweet babe!! The #1 thing is I don't give my dog people food. If I do, he only gets safe fruits & veggies and cheese. I don't have anything a dog could choke on or really swallow. I put Buster in a kennel when I'm gone, but I could leave your dog out if they don't do kennels. Please ask me questions if you have any!
“Lisa is the BEST! We left our 7 month old chocolate lab puppy with her for the first time while we went on vacation. He had a great time! Lisa is the sweetest and had no issues with watching an energetic, crazy puppy. She sent lots of updates and photos, and was always available if I needed her. I would 100% recommend her. Moose already is looking forward to going back!”
