About: Hi, I’m Vanessa! I’ve always had a passion for animals and genuinely enjoy caring for them. I started pet and house sitting for friends and family, and over the past couple of years I’ve also cared for pets through Rover. I enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. Cats are my favorite. I love their unique personalities, but I also have experience caring for dogs and birds. Throughout my life I’ve had cats, small and large dogs, and cockatiels, which has given me experience with a variety of pets. I currently have a German Shepherd, so I understand the importance of keeping dogs active, engaged, and well cared for. I’m dependable, detail oriented, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I know every pet has their own routine, and I’m happy to follow it closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box cleaning, giving simple medications, or spending extra time playing and keeping them company. I also enjoy sending updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and helping you feel at ease while you’re away! About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember; I’ve had several of all sizes throughout my life, and they were like siblings to me. I love dogs of all kinds; wherever I go, they seek me out, greet me, and let me pet them. I think that’s a great sign that I connect with them. I am a freelance videographer and video editor. I set my own schedule, so at any moment I can pause my editing work to go walk dogs or look after my son's cat when he travels. Yes, often. I take two dogs for a walk every day; I've been doing it for years, and babysitting my son's cat when he travels.
