About: Hello! I’m an experienced pet sitter with several years working in a kennel environment and as a groomer. I also enjoy fostering/training dogs for local shelters! I have experience with behaviorally complex dogs as well as working and giant breeds. In addition to professional experience caring for dogs, I also have three personal dogs that I train, show, and trial with in sports! I work from home, so I have plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve! I’m generally not out of the house for more than an hour or two each day. I want your dogs to feel at home here! My three bedroom home has a fully fenced yard and is safe and comfortable for pets. Dogs who prefer to be the only pet are welcome to solo access to the back yard and one on one time in the house with me! Safety is always my first priority, so all dogs are crated for meal times and when unsupervised/over night. Please note that we have one adult cat in the house! While she is very dog savvy, I’m happy to ensure she is in a separate space if needed.

“Rachel is amazing. She took great care of my Hobey who is a goldendoodle. I knew upon meeting her that she took this would be a great experience for Hobey. She provided videos throughout the day that showed Hobey playing with other dogs, doing tasks that would merit him a treat, and relaxing after some playtime in the backyard. It was nice to see the vids and to see him have a good time. I took him there 3 days in a row and each time he would get excited as we pulled up to her house which made me feel good. I could tell he had an active day when I picked him up cause we would get home and I would feed him and he would sleep for the rest of the night. I was only in Michigan for a week but I will be back to visit family and I will always use Rachel.”

About: I have cared for dogs since our first Siberian Husky joined the family in the 1960's! Family, friends and now new friends have entrusted me to take care of their fury family members when they leave town. From puppies to seniors they are all treated as if they were my own! I will consider accepting two dogs from the same family/household, but will generally only care for one dog at a time. This is so that no dog needs to not only adjust to being away from their own home, but also have to navigate relating to another, unfamiliar animal. I have no pets in my own home at this time either. Breeds I have cared for over the years include Labrador Retrievers, Samoyeds, Pugs, Huskies, Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Miniature Schnauzers, Weimaraner's, German Shepards, Golden Retrievers, Pit Bulls, French Bulldogs, English Setters, Australian Shepards, Cocker Spaniels, Cockapoos and countless mixed breeds! I work from my home and so I am able to devote myself to any dog in my care. I take frequent work breaks and consider my care of the dogs entrusted to me as a part of my at-home work/life routine! I only care for pets in my own home. I have a nice fenced in backyard with privacy fencing on two sides and chain link on the other two sides, and the dogs seem to like the space. I do not leave dogs in the backyard on their own. I am with them if they are outside. I like to walk the dogs around my neighborhood and through the nearby park up to three times per day depending upon their energy level/physical abilities or limitations and their established routine. Any dogs that are more couch potatoes are certainly never forced to take walks. I honor where they are in terms of their breed, age and physicality! I have cared for elder dogs who have needed regular, timely medications and close observation as well as wild little puppies and everything in between! My home is kept very clean and neat to prevent my fury guests from getting into anything they should not and between visits I wash all dog bedding, towels, blankets and rugs.

About: I have several years of experience as a veterinary technician in the emergency department of a veterinary referral center, where I also worked in the ICU and intermediate care wards. I’m comfortable caring for medically complex pets, including administering oral and injectable medications, monitoring post-surgical patients, and recognizing early signs that an animal may need urgent veterinary care. I am trained in pet CPR and choking response, so your pets will be in capable hands. At home, I have two senior dogs and truly love caring for older pets. I understand their mobility needs, medication schedules, and the extra patience and gentleness they deserve. I’ve also fostered many dog breeds and cared for sick and bottle-fed kittens, so I’m very comfortable with animals that need extra attention. I’m able to safely lift and assist dogs up to 70 pounds when needed, and I’m happy to help with exotic pets as well. I grew up caring for guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and small mammals, so I’m confident following specialized care instructions. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away, especially if your pet is senior, medically complex, or a little anxious. I treat every animal like my own and prioritize safety, comfort, and lots of love. I finished medical school and I am completely free until July! Just looking for ways to fill all the free time, give some love to cute pets, and offset some of these school loans. I prefer to do the sitting in the pet's own home for their comfort. I can do drop-ins, or spend lots of time with them and take care of the house. Small, dog-friendly dogs are welcome to stay in my house with my two senior dogs. I am constantly trying to stay more active, so I am happy to take dogs on long walks or take them somewhere to play fetch for as long as they need.

About: Your home is my base. Professional housesitter, LGBT+ND Friendly. My homebody routine (WFH yogi) mean tons of time with your pet. I'm very tidy, and a good fit for clean nonsmoking homes. Over 200+ nights per year petsitting! Your place is my home, not just short visits. I also enjoy multiple pet households of 2, 3, 4 or more! I am patient with anxiety, special needs, medication, and puppies. I love written instructions, and take medication seriously. My day is typically yoga, meditation, movie nights with your pets, two hours WFH, and walks or yard time. I also offer daytime care in your home via the Housesitting tab (3 hours to 10 hours+) even if you don't need overnight. You can also book Drop Ins of 30 mins to an hour, or multiple hours. If you need a sit start time before 8am, or end time after 8pm, or drives over 20 minutes, there is an additional charge of $30 each, not included in your estimate. You are very welcome to book additional drop ins or walks before your sit so we can all get to know each other! Your home is my home base, I bring my groceries/book/yoga mat. Playtime, downtime, and sleepytime are spent with your pet. I WFH and love reading, cooking, meditation, movies. My commitments are important to me, and I care about your pets.
