“Rachel is amazing. She took great care of my Hobey who is a goldendoodle. I knew upon meeting her that she took this would be a great experience for Hobey. She provided videos throughout the day that showed Hobey playing with other dogs, doing tasks that would merit him a treat, and relaxing after some playtime in the backyard. It was nice to see the vids and to see him have a good time. I took him there 3 days in a row and each time he would get excited as we pulled up to her house which made me feel good. I could tell he had an active day when I picked him up cause we would get home and I would feed him and he would sleep for the rest of the night. I was only in Michigan for a week but I will be back to visit family and I will always use Rachel.”

About: Hello! My pet experience consists of having my own doggy for the past 20 years. I rescued my older dog and then got a new puppy. My old Rose passed away but I had to give her eye medication and oral medication everyday so I am comfortable with that. I also grew up with family dogs and cared for those dogs. My availability to watch your dog is very flexible. I work from home a most days a week so it is a high chance that I could work from home while caring for your pup. I am a very caring person. I have a PhD in human development and family science and work in the social work field. I have a giant heart and would love to care for your doggie! I have experience with senior dog care, as our sweet Frenchie, Charlie, recently passed away after almost 12 amazing years. I grew up with a yellow lab, Sandy, and caring for both of them at the end of their lives was one of the greatest honors I’ve had. I have also taken care of friends and family’s dogs and pride myself on treating them all as part of the family. About: My husband and I work from home and have very flexible schedules that allow us to be present with our pets during the day. There are no kids in the home during the day during the week. Typical day include walks around the neighborhood or nearby park, lounging or playing in the backyard or the dog park. Plenty of toys for chewers and plenty of space in our fenced yard to roam and play. I currently work from home as a technology sales rep. When I am not working, I’m entertaining both my toddler and pets. I often have a decent amount of free time and dog sitting has been a great outlet for my dog to socialize and get some fun in! About: I've owned dogs a majority of my life, both large and small breed. I've house trained and crate trained my own dogs so I have some experience with that, as well. I have 2 cats in the home but they tend to stay away from any new dogs, often hiding in their own room that the dogs are not allowed in. I work from home, which allows lots of one on one time with your pet. I'm able to flex my work schedule based on whatever is needed. I have a fenced in yard, which my own pup loves to run in. About: I have cared for dogs since our first Siberian Husky joined the family in the 1960's! Family, friends and now new friends have entrusted me to take care of their fury family members when they leave town. From puppies to seniors they are all treated as if they were my own! I will consider accepting two dogs from the same family/household, but will generally only care for one dog at a time. This is so that no dog needs to not only adjust to being away from their own home, but also have to navigate relating to another, unfamiliar animal. I have no pets in my own home at this time either. Breeds I have cared for over the years include Labrador Retrievers, Samoyeds, Pugs, Huskies, Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Miniature Schnauzers, Weimaraner's, German Shepards, Golden Retrievers, Pit Bulls, French Bulldogs, English Setters, Australian Shepards, Cocker Spaniels, Cockapoos and countless mixed breeds! I work from my home and so I am able to devote myself to any dog in my care. I take frequent work breaks and consider my care of the dogs entrusted to me as a part of my at-home work/life routine! I only care for pets in my own home. I have a nice fenced in backyard with privacy fencing on two sides and chain link on the other two sides, and the dogs seem to like the space. I do not leave dogs in the backyard on their own. I am with them if they are outside. I like to walk the dogs around my neighborhood and through the nearby park up to three times per day depending upon their energy level/physical abilities or limitations and their established routine. Any dogs that are more couch potatoes are certainly never forced to take walks. I honor where they are in terms of their breed, age and physicality! I have cared for elder dogs who have needed regular, timely medications and close observation as well as wild little puppies and everything in between! My home is kept very clean and neat to prevent my fury guests from getting into anything they should not and between visits I wash all dog bedding, towels, blankets and rugs.
