“Rachel has been absolutely wonderful with my two dogs, Oliver and Mabel. Oliver is my 11-year-old senior, and Mabel is a brand- new puppy, so their needs are very different- and Rachel handles both of them with so much care. She is incredibly communicative, always gives great updates and photos. She’s been walking them weekly for a while now, and both dogs get so excited for her visits. Knowing they’re in such good hands while I am working gives me so much peace of mind. I can’t recommend Rachel enough!”

“I have an anxious rescue (Sir Kitt) and Kirby has been absolutely wonderful with her! When we started, Kitt had to be coaxed to walk. She was so scared of everyone. Recently, Kitt has come out of her chill spot when she hears Kirby come in! Kirby is wonderful with her and we will be booking again.”

“Mel was awesome! We were in a scheduling pinch and needed someone to come walk our dog while we were gone. Everything went great! Would definitely book again!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and currently have two dogs and a cat of my own. My family has had dogs of many breeds and sizes over the years—from labs to bullies to chihuahuas—so I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and temperaments. In high school, I provided pet care for several families, and I bring that same calm, attentive approach to every visit. I’m dependable and take scheduling seriously, and I have flexibility with my job, which allows me to be consistent and reliable. My goal is to provide thoughtful, steady care that helps your pets feel comfortable and gives you peace of mind while you’re away. I offer dog walking and drop-in visits and focus on keeping routines consistent. Having had sitters care for my own pets, I know how meaningful regular updates and photos can be, and I’m always happy to share them. Safety is especially important to me, particularly on walks—I’m attentive, aware of surroundings, and careful to follow any guidelines you have.
“Kayley is wonderful! I am so happy to have her walk my dog Bilbo during the day, especially during the winter months. He liked her instantly and was very happy to walk with her. I highly recommend her!”

About: Got my first dog at 8 years old and have been hooked ever since. Trained my labrador retriever to be special needs certified when he was 2. Been helping pet parents around the neighborhood for as long as I can remember. Always love to meet new people and their furry friends! Currently based in Richmond, VA as a Junior at VCU. Slowly finishing up my finals so my availability is becoming more and more flexible! My classes officially end May 5th so I’ll be completely free then! Pet care is very case sensitive and relies on the owners understanding of their pet. Hoping to connect with owners about their pet’s specific needs and provide that care to them to the best of my ability, whatever it may be!
About: I’ve been a dog owner my whole life and currently have two dogs of my own so I know firsthand what dogs need to thrive. To me, a great walk isn’t one-size-fits-all. Whether your pup loves to stop and sniff every inch of the sidewalk, needs a fast-paced run to burn energy, or thrives on enrichment and mental stimulation, I follow their lead and make it count. Your dog’s happiness and comfort are always the priority, and you can trust that they’ll be treated like family because that’s exactly how I treat my own. I work from home full-time, so I’m available for your dog throughout the entire day, not just mornings and evenings. No rushing between walks or squeezing pets into a lunch break. Your dog gets my real, present attention whenever they need it. Your dog will be treated like family because that’s the standard in my home. I have two dogs of my own, so your pup will never feel alone or out of place. I’m attentive to each dog’s comfort level and body language, and I make sure every interaction feels safe and positive. Your dog’s wellbeing is never an afterthought.
About: We have taken care of all kinds of animals for years and are currently the happy owners of a rescue dog named Finn. My wife and I rescued him in 2021 when he was 8 weeks old. My wife has owned, rescued, and ridden horses for most of her life and has some vet level experience with animals. We will be home for Summer break beginning June 1! My wife and I are both teachers, so we are home early each day. Our weekday afternoons are free with a ton of flexibility. We both have all school breaks/holidays as well as the summer off so we can devote all day to your fur babies! We are free almost every weekend! We will be home all day during the week starting in the summer. We are able to tag team and constantly have someone with your beloved pet at all times of the day. During the school year, we are out of the house from around 7:00-2:00 on weekdays. We have plenty of space in our house, it’s a small house but has an empty bedroom, and also a big fenced in backyard! We put up a brand new 6 foot privacy fence so your pups will feel safe when having fun in the sun!
“Nevaeh walks my dogs once a day and it is such a retro know that she is there for them while I am at work. She is an absolute sweetheart and even my more stand offish dogs loves her. Could not recommend met more!”

“Kudos to Keith! I highly recommend him. I have an older special needs dog who still has some pep in his step and loves going for walks. I can't always get out with my pooch, but luckily Keith has stepped in to help on a regular basis. Keith has a good understanding of my dog's needs. During walks he keeps me posted with photos or a video. Upon return, he shares helpful observations about my dog's behavior. It is a comfort to know that my dog is in such capable hands!”

“Katherine was a great help! She followed directions and was very communicative which I loved. I was unsure of how things would go but I am impressed. Definitely will continue services with Katherine.”

About: I crate trained my parents puppy and took care of her for the first few months of her life. Additionally, I've dog sat for family friends previously. They've trusted me to stay at their house so I can make sure their dog was never lonely. I'm currently working part-time, so I am available for dog walking and dog sitting. My schedule is flexible, so I only need a few days notice for any services. I like to let the dogs get to know me by letting them sniff me so they can be comfortable with me walking them or staying in their home.
About: If you're looking for reliable, personal care for your pup, my family and I provide safe, loving walks, drop-ins, and boarding for your furpanion. I start each day by checking in on my pets' needs—feeding, exercise, and playtime are all prioritized. Throughout the day, I maintain a flexible schedule that allows for regular walks, enrichment activities, and cuddles.Whether it's monitoring their health or providing companionship, pet care seamlessly blends into my lifestyle, making every day fulfilling and joyful. Pets are leashed at all times, in my pet friendly neighborhood, my yard is not fenced, so we take a 5-minute walk to the park daily for adventure and bathroom breaks. Pets enjoy a cozy, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to play and relax. I maintain a consistent routine that includes feeding, exercise, and mental stimulation. I prioritize safety and well-being, offering regular updates and communication to keep pet owners informed. “Emily was absolutely amazing! She was great at communicating, and even helped out with some Doug chores after a chaotic morning for my boyfriend and me! As a first time Rover-user, Emily made me feel at ease with all of the pictures she shared of Doug! Doug absolutely LOVED his walks and would be passed out whenever I got home. Whenever we need a dog walker, Emily will definitely be top of our list!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life ranging from fish to cats, dogs, hedgehogs, and bunnies. I’m currently training my own dog so I’m very familiar with pets needing strict routines. I have experience administering medicine to pets and with taking them to the vet (both for appointments and emergencies). At the moment I only have my dog, so her routine is engrained in my daily ones. I am very good at making and keeping structured routine, especially for pets. I make sure they are enriched and feel loved. With high energy pets (like bigger dogs and extroverted cats) this means playing with them or taking them for walks. With smaller or lower energy pets this can mean calmly hanging out and/or just being in the same room as them.
Green Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
Amanda went above and beyond! When I needed to set up a walk for Thanksgiving day on short notice, she arranged a time to come and meet me and my dog ahead of time and asked great questions. She was communicative, showed up on time, and gave my dog extra care, love, and attention after her walk. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Thank you so much!

Sammy is the absolute best! This is the first time we have utilized a dog walking app for our sweet boy and she made us as well as him feel comfortable the entire time. We booked last minute and she was more than happy to accommodate us. We truly could not have asked for a better experience!
