“John is a responsible student and pet enthusiast who would make a wonderful caretaker for any furry friend. John has experience taking care of his own three dogs back home, including one who is geriatric and disabled. He never fails to pet a pup on the street, and is a favorite among his friends cats, whom he regularly cares for. John is very reliable, and will take outstanding care of any pet.”

My older dog has random health issues and Annie would always alert us to any changes and check up on him afterwards. I highly recommend Annie if you want someone who genuinely cares about your pets and who you can trust. Her photos and updates are a (hilarious) highlight of my day! She really knows how to bring out the best side of your dog. 11/10, highly recommend.”

Jennifer W.
About: Hi, I’m Jennifer! I have several years experience caring for and training dogs as a dog walker and pet sitter. I love all animals, but I must confess that pigeons are my favorite. I come from a family with a deep love for dogs, I grew up with a a calm temperament sweetheart Cocker Spaniel Springer named Happy, and currently have a frisky 10 year old Dachshund Fox Terrier mix named Oliver that I personally raised and potty trained since puppyhood. Different temperaments are no issue for me, from playful to stubborn to entirely relaxed - I have had experience with all kinds of personalities. I live next to Washington Park, the University of Chicago, and not too far from Promontory Point which features great walking paths along Lake Michigan. I’m an avid biker and love to be outside. I can accomodate most levels of exercise and bathroom breaks. Currently, I’m researching and learning more about dog body language to ensure the comfort and safety of dogs in my care—I’d love to talk to you about it! Your dog will not only be in great hands, but I’ll try my best to provide your pet a comfortable time and a ton of fun, too. I’m a graduate student at the University of Chicago, which allows me to have very flexible hours. I’m typically an early riser and like to take walks or bike rides in the morning. I make my own schedule and work from home most days. I know that life can be unpredictable, so I try my best to accommodate most schedules or last minute changes. I live on the 2nd floor of a 2 story building in a 3 bedroom apartment, which features a large and cozy living room. Usually, I set up dog beds and cozy pillows next to my bay windows so they can relax and enjoy watching a starling or cardinal outside. I keep my bedroom and bathroom doors closed, with the exception of my guest room that I will set up as a “calm room,” especially when I’m caring for multiple dogs. I like to provide a space for dogs to relax or sleep because each dog may have different needs. I keep the blinds closed and stimulation low in that room. This helps me to manage dogs with different temperaments, ages, and energy levels. Dogs are free to roam down the hall and into the kitchen. In a client’s home, I know that this is a new environment, so I do my best to follow instructions as they’re written and honor the clients requests.

Lisa "Rane" B.

“Lisa "Rane" was fantastic with Bobby. She is prompt and personable. My dog received her well upon their first meeting. She and I developed a good rapport which led me to feel comfortable trusting her with Bobby. I will make her my first request when needing your service in the future.”

Raeanna H.
“I have two cats (Cloak and Ghost) that have VERY different needs. Cloak is shy and loves a cuddle. Ghost is full of energy and will bully Cloak out of his food. It's a tricky situation for most but Raeanna handled it like a pro! I had never seen Cloak warm up to someone so quickly it was amazing. She took the time to listen to my many many many instructions all with a smile on her face and was GREAT at communicating with me throughout. Thank you so much Raeanna. Definitely will use you in the future.”

Sydney V.

“Sydney is so sweet”

Taylor C.

“Thank you! Maisy had such a wonderful time!”

Elizabeth D.
“Elizabeth has watched my cat several times. She is excellent and extremely knowledgeable about animal care, and her prices are great. I will always use her if she's available!”

Viola R.
“Viola is an awesome pet care provider. My family has benefited greatly as Viola as our home away from home for our German Shepherd. Viola is always prompt and courteous. My dogs live her gentleness.”

Toni B.

“Toni was so easy to work with and professional from start to finish. Her communication style is thorough but to the point. This was my first time using Rover, so she easily guided me through the processes by asking me the necessary information. My initial communications with Toni put me more at ease with leaving my pup, and after our in-person meeting I no longer had concerns with leaving him for the day. I loved getting several photos and thorough reports of the walks. I’d definitely hire her again!!”
