“Liz and her family are ideal pet sitters. My bulldog Daffodil became comfortable quickly and is not eager to leave their home at the end of the day due to the abundant personal attention she receives. Great indoor and outdoor space. Consistent updates and photos. I think Daffodil has found a 2nd family, a home away from home, if you will.”

We’ve had multiple stays at Timothy’s place, and every time our dog comes home happy, well-cared for and occasionally having made new dog friends! About: Kyle and Ben have been caring for dogs in our home for over fifteen years. We have experience administering medications, whether they be topical, ingested or intravenous. Our goal is to make sure you know your dog is safe and well cared for while you're out of town. We are very quick to respond to all phone calls, text messages and emails and will keep you posted with photos and updates on how your dog is doing while they are staying with us. We also provide flexible pick up and drop off hours for your convenience and can provide transportation if necessary. Kyle has several years of experience working in the pet care industry, starting with shelter work, moving onto a dog daycare/boarding facility and managing of two different dog and cat supply stores (one local, one corporate) in the last fifteen years. She is certified in dog and cat first aid and CPR by the American Red Cross and has experience administering topical, oral and intravenous medications. She has extensive experience handling senior and disabled animals, as well as dogs with behavioral issues. We have always loved dogs and owned dogs throughout our respective childhoods, but Kyle has gotten more hands on experience in the last fifteen years by dabbling in different fields of animal care. She worked as a kennel attendant at the local SPCA for a period of time, caring for homeless dogs, cats and rabbits. It was there that she learned proper care techniques and how to administer medications. She took these skills with her when she went to work first as a kennel attendant and then as the office manager of a small dog daycare and boarding facility. She spent the next seven years serving as store manager of two different natural dog and cat supply stores, where she helped pet owners provide their animals with healthy natural foods, treats and other supplies. She also organized many in store events to help highlight and raise funds for many local rescues and shelters. In 2020, Kyle completed school to become a dog groomer and has been grooming dogs in Hyde Park for the last several years. Both Kyle and Ben work mainly from home, or not far from home. Kyle works as a dog groomer and is able to bring your dog to work with her during the day to minimize any time your dog may spend without human supervision. We never allow anyone off leash on walks, and we do not utilize off leash dog parks for safety reasons. All of our pets are fully vaccinated. Feeding times are always supervised to prevent any potential food aggression. Toys and chews are put away when human supervision is unavailable to prevent resource guarding.

About: I’ve raised and cared for animals of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments since I was 8. I have a soft spot in my heart for dogs and cats. Whether it’s making sure teenage Shibas (and cats) have their dinner on time (with just the right amount of gravy). Cuddling up with shy senior poodles with special needs. Or fun tussles and training sessions with high energy Pit bull puppies. I have a “patience first” mindset and pride myself on adapting to the needs of the animals I care for. For pet parents with rescues and new pups and kittens My services often center on helping the pet become comfortable with routines, practicing training and setting boundaries, reducing anxiety in rescue animals, and giving opportunities for socialization. Your pet is in good hands, think of me as their new dog-Auntie whose always ready for daycare, sitting, walking and play dates. I also specialize in long-term stays of 2 weeks or above. I work from home as a designer so I am available for frequent potty breaks and walks. For sitting and daycare i can do pick ups and drop offs within a 1 mi radius before 9 am and after 5pm during weekdays and as needed on weekends. I don’t have my own pet right now but love being around them. I have been doing long term care for a standard poodle for 3 yrs until the owner moved recently. I also have some short term care for other pets and always make sure the temperaments match for caring for multiple pets from different household. I will not have more than 3 pets at a time in my space so that i can provide the best care and attention. For dogs who have socialization issues i will make sure they are not in situations that will increase anxiety or induce aggressive behavior, and on the occasions when that may happen i am very versed in redirection and refocus/deescalation in healthy ways. I live around the corner from a dog park and live in an extremely dog friendly neighborhood and building so guarantee your buddy will make a friend or two on our walks. I have my own private 300sq ft outdoor terrace in my apartment (with dog friendly turf) for pups who are still being potty trained and need to ease into going outside frequently. It’s also perfect for senior dogs and dogs who have a case of the zoomies. I have a large dog crate for dogs in the process of crate training (but most of my guest roam freely about my apartment). My space is very open and loft style and cats love all the places they can climb and explore. I am use to caring for multiple pets with different dietary needs/restrictions and as needed can make customer meals and snack of chicken, rice, blueberries at owners request. You will get pictures and consistent communication on your pet’s day to day activities and milestones. After every walk i clean off paws with pet formulated wipes or a quick rinse in a paw cleaner. For sitting service, I have multiple dog beds and places in my home that pets love to sleep. They are always welcome on furniture and in my lap. There’s plenty of places to roam in my multi-level home . And there hard wood floors so clean up of accidents is simple and easy. If you are practicing a new routine or trying to curb specific behavior I will continue that progress. For those pets needing a bath I typically use lavender chamomile Wahl shampoo and conditioner, but can modify for pets with sensitive skin or your preferred scent if provided. For dogs prone to gunky/crusty eyes and smelly ears in the morning I give them a quick face wash with a damp cloth.

My dog loves Tamara! I’ve been using her for over a year and only trust her to watch my dog who has bad anxiety and is skiddish with most people. When I drop her off, she doesn’t even know I’m there anymore. That makes me happy since my baby has anxiety bad. Definitely recommend her. She’s very caring and accommodating!
