Dog Lover with Flexible Rates
I am a hard worker willing to help take care of your dog's needs. I love animals especially dogs and want to take care of them the best I can. I have pet care experience and have family dogs. I love to take dogs for walks, hikes, and to entertain them. I had two large dogs growing up, and I walked them both comfortably. My dogs were both energetic, so I am used to excited dogs that love to play. I have done house sitting, multi-pet watching overnights, and dog walking. I love playing with dogs and giving them attention. As a social worker, I am dedicated to helping others in my area and saving money for grad school. I can also help around with tidying the house, brushing the dogs, and/or babysitting if you need.

Emily was amazing! It was my first time leaving my puppy with anyone and I couldn’t have asked for someone better. She came on time and my pup loved her, I’m pretty sure when I got back my puppy was more bummed she was leaving than she was happy that I came home ? I highly suggest using emily I most certainly will again
Emily is a responsible and attentive dog lover. My dogs were well cared for with love and attention and exercise. My dogs enjoyed playing with her and were excited when she came to care for them. She provided updates on my dog's status and pictures of their smiling faces. She is trustworthy and mature beyond her years.
Emily has been a close friend of mine for years, and has pet sat numerous times for me and my family. She is an extremely attentive and responsible pet sitter, I would highly recommend her for anyone in need for someone trustworthy. She is very comfortable around animals, and has plenty of experience for any situation thrown at her.

Schedule
I’m currently a graduate student at University of Chicago. Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m working 9-5pm but other days I have three hour class blocks or am working part time. I’m happy to stay over and do walks in between class and lunch breaks at work. Anything near/around Hyde Park and Washington Park is accessible. My rates are sliding scale so please let me know what works for you and we can see what we can both do.

I have experience with different walking strategies like harnesses, regular leashes, and going for runs! Growing up, my dogs were energetic when off leash, so I worked hard to make sure pets are kept in safe and supervised locations. I'm organized so feeding schedules, any medication needed, and keeping consistent exercise for them too is a priority for me!
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks, have them explore new scents and be outside, and I love cuddles! Happy to cuddle with your pet as they like and help with playing with toys or being active in other ways too.

- I would like to know if your dog has any triggers that agitate them or special needs. For example, one dog I watched loved attention and being pet. But if you reached down to pet him, he would growl and get upset. If I called his name, and he came to me, he would be happy and let me pet him. This knowledge helped me provide proper care to him. Knowing this information beforehand can help me make their experience the best I can.
