About: I'm a former 4H member which means I've not only taken care of a variety of animals, I've also shown them in competitions. I have personal experience taking care of Dogs, Cats, Horses, Birds, Rabbits & Rodents, and even Fish. I have owned and cared for many animals throughout my life, most of them have lived to old age--don't you just wish they could live forever? I am happy to take care of your loved ones as if they were my own for however long you need to be away from home. I am currently on Leave of Absence from work due to health issues which means I have all day and night to spend with your critters. I will follow your care instructions as closely as humanly possible! Need me to cuddle them during a storm? "Cook" their food before serving it? Shove a pill in a hotdog? Give your pet an IV bag? Been there, done that. Whatever they need, I'm there.

“Simba loved his time with Anna! I had to find someone last minute and she was great. Responded in a timely manner and worked with my schedule! Will be booking with her in the future!!!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life. I grew up with dogs in my home and have been dog sitting for over 10 years, caring for pups of all sizes and personalities. I genuinely love animals and treat every dog like my own—making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I am a very active individual so I make sure they get lots of playtime and walks:) I work full time, 8–5, but I always come home during my lunch break for about an hour. I also take nightly walks. I’m available on weekends and am usually home. I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. This includes feeding them on their regular schedule, providing fresh water, taking them on walks, and giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully to keep the pet’s routine consistent and stress-free. I also make sure to keep the home clean and provide updates as needed so owners feel reassured while they’re away.
“Rebecca goes above and beyond when she takes care of my Lucie. I seriously can’t praise or thank her enough. She’s so good with my dog. It truly puts me at ease when I’m at work, knowing someone so great is taking care of my girl.”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have experience caring for a variety of breeds and personalities. Growing up, my family had a German Shorthaired Pointer, a Labrador Retriever, and a Boxer-Pit Bull mix, which gave me experience with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. For the past four years, I’ve also regularly cared for a pair of Jack Russell Terriers while their owners were away. In addition, I’ve house- and dog-sat for two Brittanys and have checked in on outdoor cats on multiple occasions. I also have a black tuxedo cat of my own, so I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs and understand that every pet has unique needs, personalities, and routines. I’m currently working part time and in a Masters in Kinesiology program online. I am free all evenings after 4 pm in the month of August, and also free some mornings before 12pm! I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I’ll always treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’m happy to follow detailed care instructions, provide regular updates and photos, and make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.
“Sarah was available for a very last minute booking - I booked the day before I needed her to drop in on my fur babies. Her communication is very thorough and her rates are reasonable. She was prompt, my pets love her and I would absolutely book her again.”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Jessa! From the very beginning, she was kind, responsive, and communicated with us so well. She always replied promptly, sent lots of updates and photos, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We have two senior dogs, one who takes daily medication, and both have some anxiety when we’re not home. Jessa was so patient and caring with them, and it was obvious they felt comfortable in her care. She handled everything perfectly. The biggest surprise was our cat! She almost never comes out for anyone, but she came out to see Jessa every single visit. My whole family couldn’t believe it when we saw the photos and videos. You can truly tell Jessa loves animals, and they seem to sense that too. We are so grateful we found her and will absolutely be booking with her again. If you’re looking for someone who is reliable, compassionate, communicative, and genuinely cares for your pets as if they were her own, I can’t recommend Jessa enough.”

“Eric was absolutely amazing with our dogs, Cooper and Emma. From the beginning, communication was great and he kept us updated with photos and messages during every visit, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear he genuinely cared for them and treated them like his own, really spending time getting to know them and building a trusting relationship with them. He made sure they got outside time, attention and plenty of care. Both pups were happy and comfortable the entire time. We also really appreciated how dependable, kind and accommodating he was throughout the whole process. We came home to two very happy dogs and couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We’ll absolutely be reaching out to Eric again in the future and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pets!”

About: I've been with dogs since I was born, my family currently owns 4 of them and I also have taken care of my neighbors senior German Shepherd from time to time. I'm working on getting into a nursing program once Fall 2026 starts, I only have classes Tuesday and Thursday along with night classes on Mondays. We have a fenced yard with a doggie door and watch over multiple pets, I have also taken care of my neighbors German Shepherd by coming over at specific times to feed and let him out to go potty, he is a senior dog and I have lots of experience with senior dogs as I've taken care of some over the years.
About: I grew up with dogs and have 4 years of professional dog and cat caretaking experience - I worked at an animal hospital in the boarding department taking care of dogs and cats (giving meds, feeding, nail trims, and daycare). Then I moved states and I worked at a local grooming salon for 2 years. I am available most days as I have a remote job that is very flexible. I currently don’t have my german shepherd dog with me as she lives with my dad. I can take as much time as you need as my remote job is very flexible and allows 1:1 time with your pet. I love to take morning and evening walks! I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would my own. I understand how important it is to maintain your pet’s routine, provide lots of love and attention, and keep your home clean and secure while you’re away. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to giving you peace of mind with regular updates. I send many photos and videos :)
“Emily is just an amazing girl!!! She took care of my cat like she was her own. This is the first time we've left her home and with a sitter. We could not have found a better person”

“Kate provided great care for our two dogs while we were away. She came for four visits and arrived exactly when she said she would. We loved the pictures she sent of our boys playing and appearing to not miss us!”

“Thank God for Rover. Grace is amazing! She is so reliable, trustworthy, and exudes nothing but positive energy. Our dogs loved her instantly and we are SO grateful to have met her. I would never trust anyone but her with our pups and our home. Thank you so much Grace.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
