“Let me first start off by saying that I am very picky and selective about who I trust to take care of pets; especially my cat because he's like my own child to me lol. All my pets truly mean the world to me and I feel like it's my responsibility to hire someone who will take the very best care of them while we're away. My cat is prone to UTI’s that quickly escalate to total blockages in his bladder. It's a scary situation that can easily go unnoticed in cats because of their reluctance to show pain. I needed someone who would care enough to get to know him and therefore be able to notice “off” behavior that could indicate a emergency blockage. Amanda and her husband Josh took OUTSTANDING care of our cat, Presley, while we were away on vacation. From the moment I met Amanda at our initial meet and greet, I knew I liked her right off the bat. She is friendly, kind, educated, and asked all the right questions which allowed both my husband and I to get a feel for how she would handle any emergencies should they arise while we were away. Amanda is organized, upfront, and I can tell that she is not only a true animal lover but she also pairs that with tons of valuable experience as well. At the meet and greet our cat came downstairs and greeted her within 10 minutes when he normally takes a couple of hours to “warm up” to a brand new person. I knew right away she had experience with animals because of her body language and they way she interacted with him which was very important to me. He liked her and felt more than comfortable with her at the end of our meet and greet which was a great feeling. She followed all my instructions and left funny Rover cards after each visit with plenty of hilarious photos of our cat being his usual goof of a self. Reading the reports and seeing the adorable photos gave us such peace of mind that he was not only okay, he was also having a GREAT time at home being spoiled rotten and getting tons of love lol. When we got home we had a VERY happy and well taken care of cat. Amanda and Josh are easily going to be our first choices going forward when we need a pet sitter and I cannot recommend them enough or say enough great things about our experience with them! P.S. to Amanda: Presley wanted me to pass along the message that if you should ever find yourself parting with those rhinestone flip flops...he'll gladly take them off your hands...or feet LOL :)”

About: Hi, My name is Mariah and I have always been around pets growing up. I have been gentle, caring, and loving with animals from a young age. My first ever pet was a bunny . From ages 6-12, and took care of her myself with help of my mom from time to time. I would change their litter, feed them, play with them, and of course make sure they were healthy and happy. I've had two fishes and a turtle, and 8 cats as well as taking care of family members dogs and cats for periods of times while they were out of town. As a teen my family had two dogs, as I have moved out, I currently am raising my own dog as I’ve had her since just 4 months. While I’m not too famililar with training cats, most I’ve trained was how to use the cat litter. For dogs, I’ve trained two including my one and a half year old energetic border collie, Chanel. I’ve trained how to sit, stay, lay down, go in a circle to having her stay by the door when she comes in outside to clean her paws, She even learned all her toys names. I also believe dogs should have a set schedule to ensure balance in their life and to understand that their day to day life should have a routine. I am very detail oriented, so please don’t hesitate to communicate anything your pets needs! I love animals so much, and I am grateful to be able to spread my love for animals by taking the time to care for other fur babies! I am dental receptionist/ dental assistant that works with only kids. I work part-time currently so I often have 3-4 days I’m available depending on my schedule for the week. I will ensure your fur babies are safe at all times ! As I am always aware of my surroundings, I will make sure your fur babies will be safe on walks and in house services as well!
