Thanks to Thomas taking excellent drop-in care of my fur babies, my overnight getaway was relaxing and worry free, plus he took extremely cute action shots of their walks. I will definitely be asking him to care for them again.

Victoria stopped by, hung out with my two cats, and made sure they were fed, had water, and a clean litter box. I’d definitely book her to take care of my cats again. :-)

About: Ive been caring for dogs and cats for over 4 years, from energetic puppies to senior pets who need extra attention. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and comfort their pets as if they were my own. I’m patient, dependable, and always focused on making sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I don’t work right now, so I have a very open schedule and can give pets my full attention throughout the day. I’m available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, making it easy to fit your pet’s routine. I have a secure fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore. Since I don’t have any pets of my own right now, your furry friend will get my full attention and care while staying with me.

We always travel with our babies, but our eldest is going to be 12 this year, so it’s becoming more difficult to bring her along. I was very hesitant to use Rover, but I sent a request to Tiffany and she responded immediately and eased my concerns and answered all my questions. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats so I wanted to make sure it wasn’t overwhelming. She set up a meet and greet a day before which was very thoughtful and although my dogs are very verbal they seemed relax after a while which was a great sign. Tiffany was punctual and followed all the instructions we left for her, so when we got back home from our day trip our babies seemed content. We are very grateful for Tiffany and highly recommend her for anyone looking for her to take care of their fur babies like we did.

My friends, family members and my boss have trust me with their paw-friends & you can to🐶❤️ I also have experience working with elder dogs and giving them their medication as needed . Otherwise, I’m free to pamper your pets! I am very patient and compassionate so I’m very willing to work with pets of all personality types. I love big dogs, shy dogs, and all bully breeds. About: I’ve grown up around countless dogs and pets. My aunt works in a rescue and growing up I spent a great amount of free time there with her. Helping her and playing with all the animals was a huge part of my childhood. I also help my girlfriend out who is a full time pet sitter her self. We do overnight sittings for dogs of different breeds, ages and size. I also have experience with cats! We have just added one to our Furry Family. I can run walk or jog. If your pet has a favorite park we can go there too. I’m here for all your needs! I am currently working as an independent contractor with a schedule that allows complete flexibility in my schedule. I get to choose my own hours and all of the work is possible regardless of location. I also won’t have any surprise changes to availability or sudden work emergencies. The care provided would be as if it was for my own pet. Animals deserve respect regardless who’s home they are at. High or low maintenance those needs will be met.

About: Aside from raising my own 2 fur babies ( 2 kitties now), I’ve helped take care of others’ pets from large Dobermans to small kittens. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter primarily walking and socializing with the big dogs. I’ve raised both cats and dogs to senior years (I lost my old dog girl and kitty girl last year, both 15). As my title states, I’m an RN and am very comfortable with giving medications to fur babies (as I do with humans) as well as taking care of any illness issues within reason (wound care/ monitoring / accidents). When it comes to senior care of animals, I understand the need for them to get extra special love and attention, and medication to keep them as happy and healthy as possible. I believe in making pets as comfortable as possible and letting them know that I’m there to help and give love (if they want). When it comes to dog walking, I’m really vigilant about our surroundings and making sure that dogs get a good safe walk. I definitely gravitate towards animals over humans haha. I work part-time out of town, and so I have a lot of time spent at home with my own animals. I want to spend my time I have to help others too (hence also my volunteering at the animal shelter right now to). I prefer to spend time with pets as much as allowed in their home while also following routines previously set for them. Whether it’s playing out in the back yard, or just hanging out together on the couch or floor and relaxing, I like the pet to know that I’m there and not alone. If crating is necessary or part of the dogs routine, I can do that too.

About: I’m passionate about providing the best care for pets, no matter their age or needs. From my experience caring for Paris, who required medication on a schedule, I’ve learned the importance of attention to detail and consistency. I’m adaptable and enjoy creating a safe, enriching environment for pets to feel at home. Whether it’s taking a walk, giving medication, or offering companionship, I treat every pet with the love and respect they deserve. Pet care is at the heart of my daily routine. I prioritize the well-being and happiness of the pets I care for by creating a flexible, loving environment. My schedule is designed to ensure that every pet receives the attention they deserve—whether it’s playtime, walks, or snuggles. I make sure to stick to feeding, medication, and exercise routines to keep pets feeling comfortable and secure. Each day, I dedicate time to ensure that each pet feels like they’re getting the best care possible, no matter what their specific needs are. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or yours. At my home, I ensure a pet-friendly environment with secure, pet-proofed areas for play and rest. I keep all harmful substances out of reach, and my space is designed to be cozy and calming for all pets. I take the time to understand each pet’s individual needs, including their preferences and any special requirements. When caring for pets in their own homes, I maintain their routine as closely as possible, ensuring a familiar and stress-free environment. I communicate regularly with pet parents, providing updates and reassurance. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved every moment of their stay.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 356 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Calwa. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Calwa. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
